Came in on a Friday afternoon around 3:45. We were say right away as it was pretty empty. Someone came by and filled our water glasses without saying anything. Another person came by to drop chips and salsa and started to walk away also without saying anything. At this point we had been sitting for at least ten minutes with no real greet. I had no idea who our server was. So I stopped this person dropping the chips and asked if anyone was going to come take our order. So she just took the order because we were ready since we were sitting for so long. No server actually ever introduced themselves to us so I honestly have no idea who our server actually was. There were maybe four tables sat in the restaurant so I don't know why this was the case. The food- I pretty much come here exclusively for the salsa. It's my favorite salsa anywhere. I also love the wings with the five onion dip. The drinks are always good-but kind of small for the price. There is a happy hour, but you're not saving that much money. There are a few apps for $8 on happy hour but they are not listed-just ask someone working there what they are. The rest of the food is good-but nothing like authentic Mexican food if that's what you're looking for. Overall I've been here many times and usually never have a problem with the service. First time leaving a review in my life. Customer service was a 10/10. That's the reason I gave it an extra star. Sadly the food was not good at all. I know it's not authentic mexican food but it was just not tasteful at all. Here's my ratings for the following items I ordered: Chips = 5/10 plain old chips nothing bad nothing good. Salsa = 7/10 was pretty tasty and helped out the chips. Queso = 2/10. it was sooo disappointing. u could only taste the butter and no cheese at all. it tasted like store bought alfredo sauce :( Yuca fries w/tartar sauce? = 4/10. yucas were super dry snd had no salt. (6/10).the sauce was just not a good compliment to the fries. (2/10) Empanadas Trio: Beef & Bacon = 4/10. Cheese = 7/10. Beef and cheese= 5/10. The sauce that came with it was just not good too. Cheese had a superrr nice pull tho imma give it that but it was a super simple mozz and nothing crazy in flavor. Taco Trio: 4/10 . beans and rice were flavorless and dryyyyyy Birria 3/10. What the ... The birria sauce was just plain old oil. it was disgusting. and the meat was juicy but had a weird flavor. Definitely NOT birria. Carne Asada: 5/10. It was a tender piece of beef but just had no flavor. Beef: 4/10. same as carne asada. no flavor but nice n tender but it also had a weird after taste. Pineapple Express: 6/10 it was an alright drink but def not worth $15. Ambiance was super dark and the floors were sticky. I couldn't read the menu that well and didn't want to take out my phone flashlight. Overall Experience 4/10. Wouldn't go there again for food but staff was super friendly and quick. They could prob do a better job at cooking ngl. read more

Del Fuego is your typical Mexican restaurant. They have all of your Mexican staples, and drinks. They do have an amazing salsa that comes out with the chips in the beginning. There's also a Yelp check-in offer where you can get a free shot of tequila (Get the pineapple tequila shot, it's incredibly smooth!) Service was a bit slow. We had a few issues with the bill, but thankfully they corrected the issues quickly. If you're looking for Mexican food and margaritas, Del Fuego will get the job done. read more

Sigh. Disappointed. I ordered the nachos via doordash and i have to say I'm actually mad. The food was cold, and soggy. I get that it's nachos but maybe instead id putting lettuce on the chips you keep the chips in a separate bag? Idk. Soggy chips, hardened cheese, some meat (which they don't specify) and a side id overly liked guac. I'm upset. It was a long day and i just wanted some nachos. I've ordered nachos via doordash before and they usually have the chips in a different bag. The food and the service is always amazing but I can't eat here often because it makes my breath smell so bad for the rest of the day. So my family and I came here last week on Tuesday for "taco Tuesday" first off they have no real deal. The only deal they have is $12 for 3 tacos rice and beans... doesn't include steak or shrimp tacos. Second the food is DISGUSTING. I will never come back here again. We ordered a pitcher of sangria which cost $40 and it was also disgusting NO FRUIT. What sangria has NO FRUIT?!?! I want to like this place more. I really do. I've been there 4 times recently, giving it a fair look. The food is good. That said, the service is horrific. The inattentive waitresses are either distracted or just clueless, but they are subpar nonetheless. The bar is overwhelmed by orders, it takes forever to get a drink. They have one bartender on shift when they clearly need 2. Wasn't crazy about this place. Came on a weekday with a friend for dinner. Loud music, okay food. My friend and I shared a guacamole appetizer. Didn't think much of it, not too flavorful. We added a bunch of cholula (hot sauce) to try to make it interesting. We didn't even finish it, that's how underwhelming it was. I got the pulled pork quesadilla after the guac. It had a bbq sauce in it as well as grilled pineapple. I wouldn't mind these ingredients in a sandwich, on a roll. But a quesadilla? Interesting but not my favorite. read more

I have been here tons of times and love it! Drinks are always good and the food is great. I always get the pulled pork quesadilla because it's always made perfectly. Staff is always friendly and attentive. There are a few locations on the island but Babylon is the location I usually go to. The latest time I was here my friend and my fiancé did have an error with their order but we didn't bother saying anything. First time at this Mexican bar/restaurant. I think it's fairly new. Clean as can be. Very nice atmosphere. Hostess sat us quickly and promptly. Waitress was attentive and helpful in choosing a meal selection. Wife enjoyed her brisket tacos. My lobster Quesadilla was excellent. I am not a big fan of Mexican food but really enjoyed my meal. Went in for dinner. Late on a Thursday with a group of four and was sat right away. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. I had the taco trios the brisket taco was my favorite but the fish and shrimp taco where also very good. The regular margaritas where fantastic and if you check in on yelp you get a free shot. My girlfriend got a bacon lettuce and avocado wrap which she was very disappointed with it was all Romain lettuce with a small strip of bacon and two slices of avocado on the other side that was slipping out of the middle. Cute dim place, nice and big, big booths. Good service, as for food it's not very much authentic I got skirt steak fajitas $21 it was about 5 pieces of meat and a shit ton of onion and peppers. It wasn't the best honestly tasted like Taco Bell. Prices are pretty high for food quality. Although my friend got the pulled pork quesadilla it comes with pineapple its a nice combo. Soo They were doing a Yatzy roll for a while to win a big jackpot. It was a great idea but every time i strolled in looking to gamble my money I was turned away. Absolutely absurd that I couldn't roll dice was very upset. Now some clown won it all and I'm left with nothing but the lifetime boycott I am implementing immediately of this establishment. This was our first time here and definitely not our last. Everything was delicious. The chips and salsa are fresh and good. Service was excellent from the waitress and the busboys who always filled our waters and our chips. The steak fajita quesadilla appetizer was excellent but not necessary Bc between the chips and our meals there was plenty of food. I had the shrimp tacos which were unbelievable. My favorite ever. Made with a corn and cabbage slaw topping. So good. Even my husband said he couldn't believe how good they were. He had the chicken fajitas which were great. Huge portion. A good spot for a meal any time of day! Food is great but service, unfortunately, is hit or miss. I've been there and had 5 star service and others times been neglected and only given the bare minimum. A highly recommended their brisket enchiladas! Super flavorful and and huge portions. We visited Del Fuego on Saturday night 2/10/18. It was busy when we got there so we waited for our table in the bar area. I ordered a margarita on the rocks with salt and Lahna ordered a margarita but asked for vodka instead of tequila. The bartender seemed confused by my request at first, but pulled it off because the drink came out good. We were seated and greeted by our waitress who was friendly and mildly attentive. We snacked on the housemade chips and salsa while we looked at the menu. The chips were fresh and the salsa was delicious! I would've been happy just drinking margaritas and eating chips and salsa all night. For entrees, Lahna ordered the lobster quesadilla. She really enjoyed it and I thought it was good as well. I ordered a taco trio, consisting of a pork taco, beef taco and fish taco. They were good but not great. The roasted corn salsa tasted like it came out of a frozen bag. The regular salsa was bland lacked lime and cilantro. The proteins seemed under seasoned. Nothing seemed to pop. Again, it was good, but not great. We went there and the table was dirty. My son in law let our server know. The server gave him paper towels to clean her table!!!!! Unreal! Then, when the chips and salsa were served, one of the small serving plates had dried food on it. Not a smudge, but a whole bean and other food was on the plate.
