The park seems well maintained and there are a number of benches. They also have a nice grassy area as well as a cemented section so your dog has options depending on their preferences or the weather. There is shade and sun and the area and other patrons were welcoming and quiet. Our dog had a lovely time sniffing about and we enjoyed gazing at the beautiful spring blossoms. We had picked up some lunch and were looking for someplace that we could eat it. I searched for a Dog Park on my GPS and it brought me to this park. After I parked, we walked by the gate and saw that it was limited to small dogs 20lbs and under. There was no one using the park. We walked down the street where we had seen some picnic tables and had our lunch there. Our Shiba just sat there patiently waiting for us. She did score a few small pieces of oxtail and that may have helped keep her on point. While we ate, we kept an eye on the park. No one used it while we were eating. When we were done, I took a calculated risk and took her into the park. We chased around for a few minutes and then it was time to leave. One woman walked by with a small dog, and I asked her if she wanted to bring her dog into the park and we would leave. She basically laughed at me and said no. I found out later that the large dog park was across town, so we'll have to look for that one next time.

This also coincides with their farmer's market. I came here last Thursday to catch "Pop Fiction", a cover band. I arrived at 5:40 PM, 20 minutes before the concert, so I walked around to check out the farmer's market. There are food trucks, fruits, veggies, seafood, pastries, and lots more. The concert is at the Amphitheater, which has a couple tiers of lawn area. Early birds take up the back section and set up their tents and tables. We had a few folder chairs, and brought our own food for a little picnic. "Pop Fiction" was high energy and did a good job with songs from the '70's to today. They were a little pitchy at times, but everyone was just having a good time. As the evening progressed, more people came up front to dance or sway. There's no shade on the lawn, so definitely bring sunscreen and hats. The park itself is huge, but I didn't have time to check it all out. We enjoyed the concert and picnic. We'll probably be back for another one before the summer is done.

One for small dogs and one for large dogs, Lola is a big girl so she gets to play in the spacious large dog park. The park has shaded bench seats for owners to sit. However, I walk the field to keep an eye on my girl. There are two water fountains for the dogs and poo bags are also provided. Unfortunately there are still dog owners who don't pick up after their pets. So watch your step. The field is covered with small bark so probably a good idea to wear closed toe shoes. The weekends have alot of people about 40 today at 9am, but rotating and open courts pop up in about 5 mins wait. Downside, no formal parking lot, which is a little difficult for residents as only street parking is available.

If you want to learn, there are instructors who teach there or join Tri Valley Pickleball Club for a nominal fee and attend some clinics. They are well run and friendly. Overall, it's a very peaceful, pleasant park with a good size open field to play football or frisbee. Street Parking is pretty easy. I don't take my dogs to run off leash here...... it's usually pretty busy. I just go for pickleball and love the community there.

I went hiking with my friends here in April, and both their dogs had tons of ticks crawling around in their fur. If you are hiking without dogs, tuck your pants or leggings into your socks and avoid the taller grass if you can. You can also spray tick repellent on your shoes and socks before starting. That usually does the trick. Very fun and laidback hike otherwise. We've been visiting this trail for years now, and always have a nice time. Great views, and rolling hills. Can't ask for much else, locally.

It's muddy after a rain so avoid going here if you don't want a happy but filthy dog! I wouldn't describe it as a clean park but it's big, has water spouts for the dogs, and provides both sun and shady areas. The people here are different. Not the most friendly group. I've heard many people comment on this- it's weird. It's worth mentioning that there is a challenge coming into the park because the dogs swarm the gate when you enter. Overall, most owners don't seem to have control over their dogs. The park is ok. I've visited at all times of day and notice that there's a regular crowd. I had a better time with my dogs in the open field next to the parking lot.
