Celebrated my birthday with my family at Delmonico's and it was an awesome experience. We got a few appetizers (chicken lettuce wraps, wings, and calamari) and they were all phenomenal. I ordered the 22 ounce ribeye and it was out of this world. Super flavorful and so soft that my knife cut through it like butter. The staff were super friendly and quick with our orders. The owner actually came out and spoke with us a bit, and even sang happy birthday for me. This is an awesome restaurant, with great ownership and excellent food! I'll be back for sure.

Our second time coming. Love their steaks. It was quiet when we came but as we left it was getting busy. The owner comes around and is present. The whole staff is real nice. Food was good but this time I think it sat for a little as my medium well was well done. But all good. Steak was still very good and juicy. The inside is clean and cozy.

I heard great things about this place, the New York chain , so when I heard there was one in New Jersey I've been trying to come here for sometime. well I was definitely wildly disappointed, my server clara was super sweet and attentive but the food was definitely lackluster. The appetizers were just mediocre at best the only things that we're good we're basic the shrimp cocktail was good, the pu pu platter was ok. there are definitely some great deals for lunch though, we ordered almost the entire menu and our bill was only 190. I think perhaps lunch is not the way to go because I saw the steaks for dinner and I definitely think I'll be back for that.

Eh. Went in recently and had just an okay time. I've been here in the past and enjoyed happy hour but somehow my experience missed the mark. I am taking out how covid has affected things, and my experience was slightly forgettable. What make up for it was the very please gentleman (manager maybe) who went out of his way to make sure we had a good experience. Would I go back?? Eh, maybe? Moreso for happy hour apps and drinks if anything.

Okay, I'm not sure why this place doesn't score higher. The filet mignon was perfectly cooked. The salad was dressed just right. The drinks were perfect. They even had blue cheese stuffed olives for my martini. The baked scalloped potatoes on the dish are amazing. I'm not saying they are healthy, but they taste a little like heaven; creamy and cheesy. Will definitely we back.

Check this out... It's a little bit tricky where the entrance is, because it is not located on the Main Street as you drive by the restaurant. There is a parking lot in the back and that's where you'll be walking in from. I was told that James Gandolfini (aka: Tony Soprano) was part owner, back when he was alive (God rest his soul), which would make sense why this is designed this way. Back in the day, mobsters always went in through the back door to get seated. I'm not going into detail why mobsters always went in through the backdoor to any "joint" (place of business)...Google it! Haha As you park in the back lot you notice the outdoor seating. Again, perfect for being hidden away from the Main Street so that people driving by wouldn't see what's going on. And, makes for a quick getaway when you're located next to your car haha. As you walk in you have the bar area along the right side with some high-top tables for dining. They have happy hour specials on drinks (half off), and bar food items. The hours run different daily (around 4pm-7pm & 9pm-11pm), and some last a couple hours before closing. They had fit as many TVs as possible, and I could see this place being a nice hangout spot for sporting events including "Sunday Funday". The restaurant side brings elegance and a trendy look to the place. I liked the decor and the seating, great for big parties. I made reservations so I was seated right away which was very nice. The food items I chose were delicious. The bread (dinner rolls) come out hot and fresh with 3 side items: butter, oil infused garlic for a sweet kick, and oil infused hot peppers for a spicy kick). For my main course I had chosen the Filet Mignon dressed with melting butter and garlic which was recommended by our lovely waitress, Chelsea. It was made this way as her special request, so if you see the video you'll have to ask for it to be cooked sizzling hot with butter and garlic. Overall I liked this place, because of the atmosphere and menu. It's a steakhouse that has different dishes to offer (Asian and Italian), and the menu is worth coming back for again. The bar is definitely a nice hangout spot with young locals, and good drinks made by the bartenders. So you won't be disappointed in making new friends if you are new to the area.

My family and I always come to this restaurant on holidays. Brandon (the owner) is very accommodating always making sure you're well taken care of. We generally always start off with the lump crab appitizers it's so delicious and very fresh. & my mom always sticks to the filet mignion and this time I switched to the general Taos chicken. It was phenomenal, I should've gotten this entree years ago! Can't wait to come back!

Went to this place after driving past it a ton of times from Willowbrook Mall. One day I'll go and check it out. Boy, I wish I went in sooner. The food here was amazing!!!! At first I was a little iffy walking in. It doesn't look like much from the outside. But once you go inside, they treat you like a king from the moment you walk in. Their biggest ticket here is the food quality. I got the Del Monico which is their Ribeye and it was very well seasoned and very fairly priced. The only takeaway was that I couldn't have dessert because of how full I was. The food here is priced just right, the portions are generous, and the food very very very good.

My family and I love del Monico. We used to visit their older location in Rutherford NJ before it closed down weekly. The food here is just as good. Their pepper dipping sauce for warm bread is worth the visit alone. The fish was fresh and the General Taos chicken was great. The service was excellent. We will definitely be back!

Bread was the best part of the meal. French Onion soup was bland. Shameful. The seared tuna was over salted, ruining a great sushi grade tuna. The entrees I refuse to write about. Instead I will stop and say the following... Oh Tony, how we have fallen since 2008. We need a refresh of the menu, the atmosphere, the bar menu, and I dont want to go on but this could be amazing again. I find this to be a average experience around the area for ok; I have given the rating the same as I would any average place. 2.5. That said this is better due its history so I lean to 3 stars. I wont be back. This is a one and done for me.

The new owners have completely reimagined the space into a moderately upscale, but still family-friendly, Mediterranean oasis with a contemporary aesthetic that's also a huge culinary step up from its predecessor. The staff was friendly and super attentive without ever being overbearing and went the extra mile to ensure we had a great meal and a great experience. My dining companion and I started with the special Trio Dip ($20), a fantastic, delicious starter with shareable portions of traditional hummus, a unique avocado hummus, and perfectly smoky baba ghanoush with crunchy walnuts alongside with a basket of warmly toasted pita bread. For our entree, we decided to share the Mandaloun Mix Grill ($40) and split the three kebabs -- filet mignon shish, ground beef kofta, and grilled chicken. This platter is a masterclass in grilling with three juicy and flavorful kebabs. Mandaloun also pays attention to small details that make the dining experience so memorable. We were both huge fans of the dipping dish with a concoction of olive oil, za'atar seasoning, and sesame seeds served with the pita and the toum -- an emulsion of garlic, oil, lemon juice, and salt which creates a thick, mayonnaise-like condiment that is 100% vegan and dairy-free -- served alongside our entree that's a perfect zesty pairing for the grilled chicken. One of the staff noticed how much I enjoyed both and brought over a small 'to go' container of each for us to take home. There was also a brief "if you know, you know" moment during dinner that I am sure was entirely unintentional. Our Mandaloun Mix Grill entree came with a tasty green salad topped with crispy pita strips, which felt like a very sophisticated homage to the Friendly's Crispy Chicken Salad entree that was topped with tortilla strips. PRO TIP #1: Bring a bottle of wine or beer from home to enjoy with your meal. Mandaloun is a BYOB establishment and does not serve alcohol. PRO TIP #2: Bring cash. Mandaloun has added a small surcharge for using credit cards to pay for your meal.

Larry was very accommodating, and helped compose a vegan dish from the setup of another dish. He was considerate to recommend something that would feel "substantial" - something that I really appreciated. It's already a bit inconvenient to come up with a dish on the spot, but to go the extra mile by caring that it would be satisfying as a main dish was really very kind. And it turned out fantastic. This restaurant has so much going for it in the quality of its ingredients and dish compositions. I would encourage the chef to consider how the can apply their creativity to a dedicated vegan dish as well. There's a big world to explore in creating modern, high end, plant-based dishes and I think this restaurant would hit it out of the park ! :)

Lawd have mercy on my ears! The food was decent quality and largely portioned, but it was largely the same old Italian-American red sauce staples made by Spanish-speaking staff that you'd find at many "Italian" restaurants in NJ. - LK Caesar Salad: Eh. Limp lettuce, storebought dressing. No anchovies so not authentic, but I didn't expect any - Squid Ink Bucatini: Came with an okay amount of scallops and shrimp, and a skimpy portion of jumbo lump crab. Large, though, so I could have the rest for lunch the next day - Malfaldine Pasta: Points for the nice tomato cream sauce, but there wasn't much more to this besides the fun malfadine shape - Hen Of The Wood Mushrooms side: More like hen + shiitake. Lots of garlic flavor, but it was kind of drowning in oil. Service was okay, but like some reviewers have noted, it tended to skew young and green. Which was fine until things got LOUD and crowded--then we were waiting forever just to get extra water. I'd never been to Montclair before this dinner--but I have say I truly hope there's better Italian in this up and coming town.
