Awesome experience at this wonderful restaurant in in Montclair. Been around for 3 years severing massive parm dishes from veal to chicken to eggplant. The veal was done perfect. Service was great and you gotta love BYOB. Worth the visit but be careful of parking and the rules in the area. It was hard to get a spot. Cheers

Made a reservation to celebrate a friends birthday after seeing countless videos on how amazing the food is here. Staff was very friendly! We ordered a handful of appetizers each was better than the next. I ordered the "infamous" chicken parm which surpassed my high expectations. A handful of others had the tableside polenta with short ribs which looked impeccable as well. We ended the night with the bombolini.. don't miss out on those little pieces of heaven. Food wise our experience was incredible however- like many Montclair hot spots - seating was extremely tight. My chair was constantly getting bumped into by the table behind us and in order to go to the bathroom we had to climb over 2 to 3 tables while other guests were eating. Just something worth noting- BUT even with all that said I will be back because the level of service and food was THAT good.

This place hit a high note with us, many of the dishes were creatively put together and well executed. The roasted lamb pinsa was as innovative as it was delicious. The lamb and ricotta melted in your mouth. Sometimes a bit of lemon, sweetness from the onion or heat from the chili kick in. The bread was crispy and thin, but a bit thick to chew. This beat the best pizza we had in Italy. The short rib polenta was just as good, the corn had a cheese flavor. It worked well with the shredded beef that had some tomato in it. My wife had shrimp wrapped in prosciutto, a combo that is new to us. It created a slightly salty shrimp, with a bit of basil accent from the sauce. The sautéed spinach added color and had a hint of garlic flavor. For desert the tiramisu was not overpowering in any way. The cheese and liquor were there, along with a gentle sweetness. Innovative or award winning, no, but it was still good. The service was excellent and on cue. If anything, the stereo system made it difficult to hear my wife due to her soft voice.

What a great place! Found this restaurant on Social Media. It's a small authentic Italian Restaurant located in the heart of Montclair NJ. There is street parking, but up the block is a parking garage. It is BYOB. The decor looks like you are on the amalfi coast, there are lemon trees situated throughout the restaurant. Reservations are recommended and it can get very noisy. They are known for their parm dishes which did not disappoint. We opened with the meatballs and the burrata. For dessert we had the gelato and the Bomboloni. Lauren the hostess was a doll, once she realized I traveled from Staten Island she introduced me to the chef and his son. Very family oriented restaurant. I would definitely go back!

Went this past weekend for a date night. Ambiance was nice. Restaurant was a bit too congested for my taste. Prefer atleast a 2 feet of space between other tables but I would say there was barely a foot between. Almost no room on my table to host apps and entrees on it. Entree wise, the stuffed gnocchi was out of this world. I would come back to this restaurant for that dish alone. Came here for the chicken parm which I don't think was anything to go crazy about really. Overall a nice restaurant.

    Short Rib Ragu (gluten free)

Very clearly noted menu with gluten free items, and staff is very courteous. While the rest of the members of my party had the regular bread, once I noted I was gluten free they brought out the best gluten free Focaccia for me! Thought it was normal bread. They also have GF pasta, so all pasta dishes can be made GF, even though they are not noted. The Short Rib Ragu is AMAZING and they assemble it table side! Great food for both us gluten free people and normal gluten people!

This is an ideal place for a special occasion. Before you even walk in, the door is adorned in vines and flowers and you just know you are about to be wowed. And then you walk through the door and yep, sure enough, an absolutely stunning space. Our group of 4 met for lunch around 12 on a weekday and although we had a res, it wasn't too busy at all (but I do think a dinner reservation would be a must). They are BYOB but if you are looking to skip the alc my recommendation would be to get the blood orange soda, even if it is just for the adorable Italian can. We got a margarita pizza and the Frito Misto (calamari & shrimp) for the table. Both delicious and big portions. The lunch menu is mostly paninis, pastas and pizzas, but there are so many options of everything. I decided to get the Chicken Milanese panini: breaded chicken cutlet, arugula, fresh mozz, basil... it was delicious and just as incredible the next day when I had the second half for lunch. It came with some parm crusted chips on the side. A great spot that I will definitely recommend to anyone looking for a wonderful Italian meal and a beautiful place.

I've been dying to check out Luigino's and I'm so glad I finally stopped by. I only came for lunch, so I'd still love to try dinner. Lunch was still an incredible and delicious experience though. First things first, the exterior of the space is absolutely stunning, so I was wowed before even stepping inside. They did such a great job of decorating with pink florals and it's so photogenic. The inside is equally gorgeous and has such a homey and cozy feel. The lunch menu is pretty large and you can find all of the staples like pizzas, sandwiches and salads plus some of their entrees like parms and pastas. We started off with table pizza (a must) and some perfectly fried calamari and shrimp. For my main I had a sandwich with prosciutto, salami and fresh mutz. The bread was perfectly crunchy and had the most delicious olive oil. I definitely want to stop by for dinner and try some parm, but for lunch this is also a great option.

beautiful ambiance and a great spot for special occasions. they were able to accommodate bigger groups (with reservations of course) and service was very good during our dinner time visit. Food was delicious and portions were generous. I got the carbonara which was a bit salty but still good, tagliatelle ragu was delicious as well as their chicken parm-this was huge! lol branzino fish was also delightful. lighting is on the "dimmer" side but it works for a more intimate setting. As for parking, there is both street park and garage parking which is convenient. Overall a very good visit especially for us, firstimers.

This place is fantastic. They are known for their chicken parm (and other parm dishes), and it did not disappoint. Perfectly cooked chicken with a good amount of cheese and sauce. And huge portions... with a fair price. It's BYOB as well. Only complaint is that it's too tight in there... the tables are extremely close to one another.

Luigino's Parmigiana in Montclair, NJ. This has to be one my top meals of the year so far! You can't go wrong with anything at Luigino's Parmigiana. From the fresh pastas to the delicious Piedmontese Italian Beef. You have to come try the rare Italian-heritage beef, Piedmontese. The flavor is nothing like I ever had before! The stuffed gnocchi has to be the best gnocchi I have ever had. Plus they are BYOB! I can't wait to come back and try the parmigiana. "CERTIFIED PIEDMONTESE" TOMAHAWK- 56 ounce long bone ribeye "tomahawk" Big & bold flavor, pan seared, roasted at 550 degrees, sliced and served with Parmigiano potatoes & spinach garlic and oil. Stuffed Gnocchi- Stuffed with ricotta, fresh black truffle, Parmigiano, sauce of porcini mushrooms, cream and Parmigiano butter. Ricotta Fresca- Fresh peach marmellata, roasted hazelnuts, aged balsamic. Caesar-Classic salad with slivered focaccia croutons. Stuffed Gnocchi-Stuffed with ricotta, fresh black truffle, Parmigiano, sauce of porcini mushrooms, cream and Parmigiano butter. Soft Polenta-Yellow cornmeal simmered till creamy and topped with a ragu of short ribs, diced root vegetables and grated pecorino. Tiramisu-Mascarpone, lady fingers, espresso.

I was super excited to try this new restaurant I saw on tik tok. However I had a reservation at 8:30 and had to wait half an hour to be seated. I think the management needs to do better planning for reservations since there were also so many people outside who had a reservation who ended up waiting. I would have gave this 5 stars if the organization and management had better planning. I did like the food however. The service in terms of ordering and getting the food was fast but most likely as they wanted everyone out since they were closing in an hour. I got the chicken parm which was humongous and super fresh! The only con is you get charged $10 if you share with someone which is crazy. It was cute inside just a little too loud so it was really hard to hear everyone. I don't think I would come back due to the seating disorganization, if anything I will just order out.

The food was decent quality and largely portioned, but it was largely the same old Italian-American red sauce staples made by Spanish-speaking staff that you'd find at many "Italian" restaurants in NJ. - LK Caesar Salad: Eh. Limp lettuce, storebought dressing. No anchovies so not authentic, but I didn't expect any - Squid Ink Bucatini: Came with an okay amount of scallops and shrimp, and a skimpy portion of jumbo lump crab. Large, though, so I could have the rest for lunch the next day - Malfaldine Pasta: Points for the nice tomato cream sauce, but there wasn't much more to this besides the fun malfadine shape - Hen Of The Wood Mushrooms side: More like hen + shiitake. Lots of garlic flavor, but it was kind of drowning in oil. Service was okay, but like some reviewers have noted, it tended to skew young and green. Which was fine until things got LOUD and crowded--then we were waiting forever just to get extra water. I'd never been to Montclair before this dinner--but I have say I truly hope there's better Italian in this up and coming town.

I didn't have time to pick up a bottle of wine but the restaurant had a local store that delivered directly to our table, which was super convenient! My friend and I ordered appetizers and a main course. The food was plated nicely but was really underwhelming. I ordered the tuna tartar. The tuna was fresh but lacked flavor. It really just needed some salt or something. I also had the 14oz steak which was pretty good because it had some salt on it however the steak came out precut and did not look like a $58 steak. My friend hated both of her dishes. She had the burrata and the lasagna. She said they both lacked flavor. We paid over $200 for our meal and I was actually disappointed that I paid so much money for such mediocre food. I gave 3 stars for the atmosphere and service. The calamari was by far the best. It was crispy and thick and seasoned well and the sauces were delicious. There were some fried onions in it that were flavorful too. The goat cheese was okay, it felt like the flavors did not all go together. The burrata was very fresh and the starter bread is great too. For dinner we got the pork shank which I think was a special, the mushroom ravioli, the eggplant pasta with red sauce and the branzino special with veggies and a sauce. The mushroom ravioli tasted a little like mush to me and I was not a fan of the mushroom flavor. The eggplant pasta was delicious and it came with burrata that melted nicely into the pasta. The pork shank was tender and delicious. The branzino was the star for sure, it was flavorful and delicate and paired well with the sauce and the veggies. For dessert we got the pistachio tartufo and the tiramisu. I didn't think the tiramisu was very special but it wasn't bad. The tartufo was okay. It tasted like a pistachio chocolate ball inside of pistachio ice cream. It was also incredibly small for the price. Our waiter was fantastic!!! Great person who made our experience extremely special. I don't know if I would come back, maybe for the calamari and a drink. Some of the food is amazing and some is not that great.

We really didn't care about that as we were enjoying our wine and each other. Matthew alone 5 stars! This was our first time eating at pastaRAMEN and we had heard a lot of mixed reviews. The pictures on-line make it look like a fancy place so we did dress up. When we arrived we quickly realized it's not what they advertise and what's in the pictures as it's actually a small run down dive spot. The biggest attraction must be its BYOB as the line was out the door with people holding 2-3 bottles of wine and beer. We were really hopping for the food to be great! Unfortunately we were disappointed causing the 2 star review on food alone. The quality and freshness was poor and everything was soaked in multiple sauces. We had the Cucumber salad that should have been called the pickle salad as there were more pickles than cucumbers. Also the calamari which is hard to mess up but they somehow did with 3 different sweet sauces on it. Next we had the Ramen which they are known for and it had Fried Chicken in it??? It was frozen store bought chickens they warmed up. The last thing we ordered was the black cod, this could have caused us to get food poisoning!! One bit each and we both had to take a sip of wine quickly to get the taste out of our mouths. We couldn't even take a second bit. They did give us free dessert because everything took so long which was very nice but that was our great server Matthew. Dessert was good! Another side note the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting with pee on the floors and all over the toilet in both bathrooms. We did have a good night because we brought a very nice bottle of wine. Too bad they didn't give you real wine glasses. It was more of a plastic cup. I don't see us ever going back.

The evening started strong with bread that tasted house-made! I even took the leftover back! It was warm, crispy on the outside, soft inside, and perfectly buttery. Such a simple thing, but it set the tone beautifully. For my courses, I had the tuna tartare to start, followed by the spicy rigatoni. The rigatoni wasn't actually spicy, but the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. The real surprise of the night was the eggplant parmigiana. It genuinely did not feel like I was eating eggplant. That dish was so well done that my husband who normally avoids eggplant completely devoured my plate. It was such a great substitute for chicken parm and easily one of the highlights of the night. Dessert, unfortunately, is where things fell short. We tried the red velvet pound cake and the mint chip gelato entremet. The chocolate crunch layer on the gelato was extremely hard and honestly it felt like it had come straight from the freezer and hadn't had time to thaw. The mint gelato itself tasted very much like fresh herb mint, which wasn't quite what I was expecting. I didn't love it but I didn't hate it either. To me, it just leaned more herbal than classic mint chip. Also that pound cake was a bit dry and again hard like it was from the refrigerator. There was live music for Valentine's Day, which was a nice touch in theory, but it felt more like a performance than background ambiance (unless that's what they are trying to go for). The singer was belting songs (for example, Lady Gaga's Shallow - which for the record I love that song!) however when sang tonight we had to raise our voices to talk. Softer, more subtle background music would have made for a more intimate dinner experience. Still an overall good meal, I'd come back for the entrees.
