In the area overnight on a Sunday. A lot of places were closed, but the gastropub had decent reviews and the hours worked for us. Seated right away and had some good quality (huge portion) guacamole with drinks. So far so good! Ordered several types of tacos seafood, pork and the mushroom vegetarian. I have been to Del Pez a few times in the past few years and we typically have a positive experience. Last week my wife and I stopped in for Happies on. Thursday. We were sat quickly and the server came and took our order in a reasonable amount of time. We got two orders of the street tacos and a couple drinks. I do like the atmosphere, relaxed and modern, clean and comfortable, lively but not loud. It is easy to have a conversation with people at your table. The food was solid. Came out quickly and the quality was very good. Overall it was a positive experience. The only issue we had was that our server was sitting in the other room in full view of the dining room with a table full of employees playing on their phones and talking. At one point our drinks were empty and had been for a few minutes and I could see our waitress playing on her phone. Being an ex bartender and bar/restaurant manager I was surprised they were allowed to sit in full view of customers playing on their phones and talking. Did it ruin the experience? No. Was the service terrible? No. Did it take away from the experience? Yeah... a little, just not what I would call world class service. Most importantly would I go back? Yes, I have always had a positive experience at Del Pez and this one slightly off experience has not swayed me from going back. read more

I had dinner at the new mexican restaurant that took over the space that was Bertucci's in the Concordville Town Center in Glen Mills. It is called Del Pez. it describes itself as a gastropub, whatever that is. Great first experience. Our waitress Sara was excellent. The manager Brett welcomes new customers with a surprise treat so be sure to tell your waitstaff person that you are a first time visitor. Good food, good drink, good experience. Disappointed in the mahi taco it was all toppings and two bites of fish the taco was only a quarter filled. My husband got a meat taco and was filled with meat . Guess you forgot about the fish eaters. Wrong order for the drink I ordered took forever to get another one. Place is new and busy but that's still no excuse . Today we discovered La Paz by accident, on our way to Brandywine Art Museum. Our lunch started with the best guacamole and chips my wife's ever had. But everything was fresh and delicious. I went with a couple of friends sat night and we ordered the guacamole flight and chips which was delicious! Two of us had the short rib tacos I thought were very good and one had the street tacos which she said were also very good. Overall we were very pleased with everything. What an amazing restaurant in a sweet shopping center. I live about an hour from this place and was visiting friends and we knew we HAD to come. The place is decorated beautifully. It is modern yet does not lack color and personality. The staff are more than fitting too! My server, Lucie, was absolutely delightful and such a sweet and friendly face.
