I feel like an idiot for not reading the reviews first! I had some light wax in my ears. Raya recommend something called 'micro suction.' Look that up before you even CONSIDER doing it. Many people suffer hearing loss as I did. Those machines have a very high decibel level that can damage your ear drum. IT's a thing. I told Raya that I was experiencing pain during the suction, no she did not stop. -That pain was my eardrum telling me it was being damaged. To add insult to injury, after speaking to Raya a couple of weeks later about what I was suffering, she recommended to another horrible place called Shohet ENT in Seal Beach. Do NOT go there eithwe, they poked me with a hypodermic needed in my ear drum with steroid and said it could help. I felt like I was going to die and now the high end hearing loss is worse. I just had my appointment with Lauryn Ciszek, MSN, FNP-C. She was very helpful and knowledgeable about ears, nose and throat. She explained everything in good detail and gave me comfort about treatments with this doctor's office. I went to another doctor before coming here and the difference was really great. The prior doctor examined me for only five minutes and offered surgery of the septum. I had a bad sense about this and wanted a second opinion and that's how I came to DelRey MD. I am so glad I came to DelRey MD. I am now scheduled for surgery. A much different procedure than what the first doctor recommended; and a much more accurate one. read more

Very sketchy! I went to the Long Beach office (Del Ray MD) for an earache. I was given a CT scan of my head. I was immediately pressured to consider a balloon sinuplasty procedure. It was strange how much effort went into the "hard sell" of this procedure. They even looked up my insurance and figured out how they could get the insurance to pay for it. By prescribing an antibiotic ahead of time to make the insurance think that they tried treating the problem before the procedure. Which seemed illegal. They put a scope up my nose to get a better look (I was there because of an earache) and charged me (and the insurance) for this. I think that's their MO--just do a bunch of unnecessary and expensive procedures to rack up charges with the insurance. When I finally asked about my ear, the nurse practitioner looked at the CT scan but could really see much of the ear, so she looked in there with a camera and said I had an infection. The thing I went there to be treated was an afterthought. read more

They treated his fluid build up in his ears and they really helped me think through and feel informed about all possible solutions for my deviated septum and breathing issues (without ever forcing or pressuring anything on me). The fees are ridiculous!! I had to pay out of pocket because they didn't take my insurance first visit $150 okay that's not bad. Doctor was quick but it felt honest so when she said I needed to come back in two weeks to see if my problem was resolve I thought it was fine. I've been having ear popping for over two months and I will get vertigo and some ear pain. I've suffer all my childhood from ear infections because for some reason my ears save water and cause me pain so when the popping wouldn't stop and the room started spinning I wanted to get check right away. She said nothing was wrong with my ears but I had swollen nasal tubs so that was causing the discomfort but if after the medication and nasal spray she send the issue persist I will probably need an MIR. So, for the follow up I go to the front desk say I have an appointment and right away "It's $150. For a follow up? Yes, and $250 for the MIR" what?? I said "No, I'm here for a follow up and she's going to see if I need the MIR or not. Oh well you still need to sigh the paper work and pay the $150" I should of cancel then and walk away but I pay the $150 just so the doctor could come in and say everything looks great and come back if you're having issues again. I pay $150 dollars for a three minute appointment inside this clinic. The biggest waste of money I've ever spend. And I recommend a family member!! Thank God they did not make a follow up appointment after first visit. They are a lot smarter than I am. Wouldn't recommend!! read more

I visited Del Rey' MD for hearing loss I was experiencing and chronic headaches that have been going on for years. I finally decided to drive out of state for 6 hours to do a balloon sinusplasty. As we began the process Dr.farhad places things over my face so that I can't see for the procedure. He begins to place a cotton rolls up my nose and isn't telling me what it is or what he's doing. I begin to scrunch my nose a little since it tickles and I have no idea what it is. We stop and he asks me what's going on and I tell him I don't know what I should expect to feel and i don't know what your doing so i have no clue what your doing. We start again and obviously same thing, nobody is talking to me to even calm my nerves or tell me what's happening and my heart rate is going up because I am now nervous. So he stops and asks me what do I want to do and he gets very irritable showing that he has an attitude then he starts saying how he does not want me to move and I said I won't but I do get nervous if I don't know what is going on. The second time we start again I'm very still but I'm breathing very hard and my heart rate is going up because once again I'm not comfortable. He stops again and says am I able to the procedure and I say it's fine I would just like to know what he's doing. He asks over and over again and then I tell him to just speak to my mom because I'm high off many drugs at this point. I know my mom knows I can withstand lots of pain but if u can't talk and guide me through it it'll make me nervous. So he immediately says okay well mom won't know for you it's your decision ultimately so I will speak to her and we won't continue and then walks out. When he speaks to my mom he makes the decision for her and just tells her we won't do it as if he never even wanted to do it. KEEP IN MIND we only tried two times and he gave up after 5 min of even trying. Had he not gotten an attitude and just let me get a second to relax and be reassured by my mom we could've finished. All I wanted was to speak to my mom for some ways to get me comfortable and to push through and I was scared to answer anything while sitting on a chair high off drugs which was also making me nervous. After we discussed the story he told my mom I was lying and he things the drugs are getting to me. The nurses began packing everything up and I began to cry. In the end he said he would not like to work with me if he feels I can't trust him when he only tried for about 5 minutes before I eventually asked to speak to my mom after he kept pressuring me asking me rudely what was the problem and he gave up. I had driven 6 hours for this appointment and he told me "no offense but people drive here outta the country just to get here and if you wanted to you could've looked in Arizona" he was very rude and arrogant... He is not empathetic at all and shows no signs that he cares about his patients at all. If you need reassurance he will not do it, he will catch attitudes and act very dismissive. So after I told him once the assistant just told me what he was doing I felt comfortable and he said no it won't work. And I feel like after only stopping twice for a procedure and then deciding to just say oh well we don't do it is inconsiderate when I'm saying going over what you're doing helps me. I told him I'd like to do it and I didn't know he would cancel the entire procedure and he declined and said I did not trust him when he was very arrogant and rude with me so why would I trust him. Anyways I walked to the car, cried, my nose began to bleed, my throat still feels funny, and I threw up during the car ride back to Az after I never even got the surgery. I've gotten wisdom teeth removed, root canals, etc and I have never had a doctor stop the BEGINNING of a procedure after trying for 5 minutes and badgering me over and over while I'm high off of drugs I've never endured. read more

The provider I saw that day was Lauryn and she was amazing! She listened to all of my concerns/issues and was very helpful. I recently had sinus surgery at this facility with Dr. Sigari. The staff were all incredibly kind and helpful. Raia, a PA in the practice, was particularly great, and answered by (many) questions very patiently, never making me feel like I was taking up too much of her time. My procedure was scheduled quickly and the office staff were kind, professional, and efficient. The tech who assisted on my procedure was incredibly kind and Dr. Sigari was professional, answered my questions, and set my expectations well. I'm giving this four stars (more accurately it would be 3.5) because of the experience around the surgery. The office environment was frantic and chaotic (I think perhaps because they stack all of their procedures on the same day.) They were running late and so were prepping my room around me, and sedation medication instructions were only given verbally in passing to the tech who was giving me the meds, which made me a little nervous. During my surgery two different machines malfunctioned, sending the room into a bit of chaos as the tech tried to get machines from another room and figure out instrument compatibility, Dr. Sigari became (somewhat understandably) progressively more impatient. This was stressful and, of course, extended my procedure and discomfort. I also found it odd that they seemed to have only had one available suction tube. As I understand it, this meant that when I had to spit out the gunk (technical term) that was flooding into my mouth from my sinuses, the tech had to take the tube, remove the suction instrument that the doctor was using for the procedure, attach a "spit stick" to it and then give it to me, which ended up causing a lot of discomfort/anxiety as I was waiting (having a mouth full of gunk is seriously gross and a little panic inducing) and a couple of waves of nausea (which is not what you want during a sinus surgery.) That said, again the staff and practitioners were great, they honored my requests around sedation amount, and my recovery has been excellent - I was already breathing and feeling much better the next day. I think that this is a good practice that could be great with a few simple-to-institute changes. read more

I have had sinus issues and strained nasal breathing for around two years now. Last year I went to see an ENT for the first time (A different DR), which was terrifying. They had done a balloon sinuplasty procedure that felt like torture. It took that DR 4 hrs and the recovery was similar in pain. I swore I would never do that again. But the problem never went away. A year later, I decided to tip-toe my way to Del Rey and try getting help again. This time I was wowed. From the first call to schedule the appointment, April at the front desk was helpful and pleasant to talk with and it felt genuine. When I walked in for my appointment I was greeted and so comfortable. I felt swept off my feet with how fast I was seen and had the CT scan immediately, Lauren talked me through everything as though she wanted me to get to the solution on my own so I knew we were both on the same page. I genuinely appreciated the understanding. She was kind and knowledgeable. It made me feel safe. She explained that I needed to have the balloon sinuplasty procedure redone and showed me the proof. When it came to the actual procedure, I was in and out in roughly 30 min and the only discomfort was a slight pinch for a moment. Dr. Sigari kept me informed about what he was doing while he was doing it and even let me know when we were about 10 min till completion. My recovery was painless and so smooth. I had been to numerous ENTs and allergists for chronic nasal and sinus problems. I saw Dr. Sigari for a consultation and within an hour, a CT scan was completed and Dr. Sigari had outlined for me a number of options for treatment. His explanations were clear and made sense. I asked to have the Clarifix procedure performed which is a relatively new procedure that is minimally invasive. Dr. Sigari performed the procedure the very same day. It took about 20-30 minutes from beginning to end. I felt virtually no pain during the procedure and recovery was uneventful. Six weeks after the Clarifix procedure, my symptoms are 80-90% improved! I visited this practice in Dec-2021. I was seen by dr.Sigari's PA (I believe). Upon examining me, She recommended to do a CT scan and specifically told me to do it right there and then in their office for insurance purposes. I agreed and got a CT scan as instructed. I then received invoice in March 2022 for $602.74 for CT scan in mail because my PPO insurance had denied the service due to no prior authorization was obtained by the office. I called their billing department. their billing department claimed that their office did call for authorization at the time of the service and was being told by insurance that no authorization was needed. She also acknowledged that the bill was incorrect and she was going to adjust my bill to $250 which was my deductible for my insurance. She also dismissed my concerns regarding this billing error on their end as they are responsible for obtaining authorization and told me that I had signed a letter that says that I will have to pay $250 in case they can't collect bill from insurance. I am now receiving adjusted invoice for $250 but they are still not going through my insurance. $250 bill is something they are trying to charge me directly because their office made an error. Doctor's office personnel failed to obtain authorization or check my insurance before they did the CT scan. Now they are trying to stick the bill to me for their error. I wouldn't mind paying $250 if they were going through my insurance and $250 was being applied towards my deductible but that is not the case. I have filed complaint to CMS regarding this surprise bill. They are in-network for my insurance. Billing office person just told me that I should have known. I told her that I know that CT scan is covered by my insurance. They should have obtain authorization before running the scan. Also, their PA shouldn't have suggested to do the scan right there for "Insurance purposes". This was not an informed decision. If I had known this office's practice, I wouldn't even have made appointment here, let alone agree to a $602 ($250 adjusted!) CT scan. read more

Professional, clean with clear and consistent explanation of the process, procedure of surgery and recovery. Staff is professional, friendly and helpful. They made sure my insurance approved and set up the appointments within days. Healing process took me about 3 weeks with discomfort and heavy congestion. Also, the pain meds can cause constipation for a couple of days. But now that the healing is subsiding, my breathing is clear, no congestion, reduced tinitius and no more snoring! I was given suboptimal medical treatment by this ENT physician who bullied me because I asked him questions about my sinusitis and headaches. Dr. Sigari didn't like me from the get go and he used verbal tactics to humiliate me and force me to leave his medical practice after being charged for an expensive CAT scan of my sinuses. Terrible experience! I made an appointment 3 days ago in order to get an allergy test so I could get my allergies under control. I was informed to not take any type of medication (as I suffered) in order to get accurate results with this test. I entered the facility and was greeted by the receptionist who was very pleasant which was a plus. The receptionist did inform me that she was not sure whether this place took my insurance (Blue Cross/Blue Shield), and I was actually shocked because I literally spent the previous days going over my insurance to ensure my visit. I paid my copay and was sent to the back room to receive my allergy test, and the manager interrupted my appointment to inform me that the doctor that accepted Blue Cross was not there anymore, and I was unfortunate to receive my treatments through my insurance. I feel inconvenienced after traveling down there and filling out the forms and having a health consultation only to find this out. I think it was very unprofessional on behalf of the office for not informing me before wasting all of my time. read more
