I've lived in the area for over 20 years and this is the first time I've ever been to this location. Obviously I don't normally go to Del Taco, but I got a coupon flyer in the mail. The coupons looked good and they were also advertising their dragon berry drinks, which I wanted to try. I was a little concerned about going - it's not located in a busy area and also all the negative reviews here. Figured I'd give it a try. Now this is based on my one and only visit. For myself, I didn't have any issues. Walked in and was served immediately. The server was very friendly and pleasant. The store itself was clean and organized. Only issue was that they ran out of the popping blueberry that normally goes in their dragon berry shake. However the server offered to put in more dragon berry to make up for the lack of the blueberry. Don't know how it should normally taste, but the extra dragon berry made for a delicious shake. I also used a coupon to get two epic burritos - the grilled chicken & guacamole and the carne asada steak. Both burritos tasty good and were stuffed. I was surprised how big they were. The service was great and the place was clean. However the food was subpar. I really should give it a one star rating. The fries were warm at best, so I asked for fresh ones which they happily gave me hot, fresh fries. My tacos were literally half full with barely any lettuce. The shells were slightly stale. Had to send a positive review for this location. Been coming here forever, and although there have been times in the past where the food and service were below standard, this has improved. I know it's kind of silly to be reviewing a fast food place, but seriously this particular location is so great. Del Taco is a favorite of mine and I used to get it after school for years, but not all Del Taco locations are built the same. This location has consistently made all my orders correctly and made them well. The rice is never overcooked and the fillings are always placed nicely instead of just slapped into burritos and tacos. The biggest reason I wanted to write this review is the consistency in their staff. No matter what day or what time of day, all the workers are SO NICE. Very polite, repeat your orders back to you and have a great attitude up at the window. We try to take the surveys every time we order because it has always been such a pleasant experience for a fast food drive through. read more

This is a somewhat regular lunch stop near my office. The restaurant is usually pretty clean, but not always. The staff seems to rotate quite a bit, so we don't often see the same faces working here. They're usually friendly, but we witnessed an employee/manager performing and interview in the dining area yesterday and thought some of her comments that we overheard were a little "off". Anyway, the food is always served hot and tasty. Because of the variety of menu items, it satisfies anyone in our office. I have gone to this Del taco several times in the last few weeks and have paid for extra cheese only to get home and have NO cheese. You need to train your employees to make sure if someone is paying for something extra that the cheese that would come on a burrito is on there and if I am paying .70 cents for extra cheese it should be more then a pinch of cheese. I normally go through the drive through and if I come there again I will sit at the drive thru and check my food at the window. Diamond Bar and Chino are the Del Tacos I frequent and I am never satisfied because I pay for extra and don't get what I am paying for. I know most Del Tacos are franchise's but Every Del Taco needs to take lessons from the original ones up the hill. Shame of the franchise owners for bringing down the quality of Del Taco. Okay this is purely about food and food prep: Yes. It's fast food. Yes I can expect fast food. Believe it or not the drive through window associates are nice and usually on it. Del taco is my guilty pleasure until today! I asked during my order twice and was very specific no tomatoes no pico. Reassured me and read back my order no tomatoes. I asked to triple check at the window as I was paying. Yes again. I asked as the bag was handed to me--YUP no tomatoes. Side note- I only don't eat tomatoes of all the things. I get home. Well. Guess why I'm writing this? I have a little one so getting out is rough. If you have a new crawler you get it. This location is the worst of all. How many times you come here say what you ordered and you leave with something missing cuz they never get it right. I heard my husband place the order and I heard the woman repeat the order and yet she's still didn't put an item in the bag. This place is the worst there were two people behind us and they gave up cuz it took so long. These people do not care about their job whatsoever. I come here quite often. I really have no complaints. At least with the day shift during the week. The employees are always courteous and I get my food pretty fast. Sure there's been a few times where they didn't see my order. But then again I do order on the app and drive over there right after which literally takes me like 2 minutes. Other than that good customer service and they never got an order wrong. Yeah sure there's homeless hanging out there. But what are they supposed to do about it? They're just there to serve tacos. This place is filthy dirty the employees are the rudest I've ever come across especially the big girl with all the piercings in her face. Also noticed they won't give you a coin to use their restroom even if your purchasing food and your a paying customer. It strictly said must be a customer to use the restroom. I saw two people leave and the Del Taco definitely lost cash flow on orders due to not allowing them a coin to use the restroom so they went to Kentucky fried Chicken and order from their instead. I used to be a regular here but not anymore. I order a deluxe Del beef burrito with extra cheese and sour cream and get what you see in the picture. No lettuce or tomato and where is the sour cream? Extra cheese I think not. I always order inside because you know what happens in the drive thru. Being a regular I used to inform management and then she says I'm picky. Unfortunately 5 days ago I caught e.coli food poisoning from this location. I ordered 3 del taco and the 3 layer nachos around 11am. It was my first and last meal that day. I'm currently still dealing with the leftover symptoms watery yellow stool an a outrageous amount of gas 5 days later. I pray that whomever the person or people that prepare the food, takes the job more seriously. I would hate for someone's child to deal with this type of food poisoning or even die from it. I am giving this location three stars based off of my first and only visit, so this review may not be accurate. I went through the drive through and placed my order (a $5.00 fresh faves box, cheddar potatoes, and two beyond meat tacos). To be fair, the location was busy when I went (about 17:30-17:45), but even though it was busy, they shouldn't sacrifice quality to get their lines down. My fresh faves box only came with half of what it was supposed to, they only gave me one beyond meat taco, and no cheddar potatoes. I also asked for a variety of sauce, but they only gave me all mild. The employees were nice. They were very nice, but they made me feel so rushed. They walked away right when they handed me the food and I waited about three extra minutes at the window (I used to work dt and I know how every second counts, so I didn't want to wait longer and screw up their times) and they just never came back, so I parked and ran in with the food and my receipt. Now, like I said, employees were nice, but they shouldn't sacrifice quality and customer happiness just to rush us out of a line. Either way, I've only been to this location once so hopefully this doesn't reflect how they normally run their business. I'm really only writing this review to make Chelsea B. jealous. I was once a Taco Bell disciple, through and through. It was walking distance from my childhood home, so it was natural. The Del Taco was a little further off. I didn't start hitting it more often until I had my own vehicle. I'd go to Yogi's arcade on Chapman and Harbor, play a bunch of Puzzle Fighter II and Wind Jammers, then stroll over to DT for some green burritos, chicken soft tacos, li'l cheeseburgers, tasty fries, tastier deluxe chili cheese fries, deluxe chicken burritos, 8-layer (now Veggie Works) burritos, deluxe del beef burritos, and spicy jack chicken quesadillas. Oh, boy. Currently you can get yourself a pretty darn good deal: taco, combo burrito, and drink for 2.99. Tuesday is taco night--after 3 p.m. or something tacos are 3 for a buck and change. This Del Taco was a fixture during my days in the dorms at Cal Poly. I still hit it from time to time. The only problem? They have a surcharge situation for using plastic. The DT up on Gary and the 10 doesn't, as most don't. read more

Ordered a bunch of crunchy tacos for the family only to get home to discover that ~70% had the amount of beef you'd expect while the rest had ZERO beef. On another occasion I ordered the mango habanero crunchy chicken taco only to get home to discover the lady had given me a plain crunchy chicken taco someone had clearly changed their mind on. This Del Taco is hit or miss. The food turns out good at times, but is rather dismal on other occasions. I've only gone through the drive thru; I've never eaten inside the restaurant, so I can't comment on that aspect. The workers have always been nice and have always gotten my order correct, so no complaints there! I always get tacos, burritos, fries, or quesadillas from Del Taco. At this one, I've received cold food or dried out and old tasting food at times. However, on good days, the food has been hot and tasty. I actually prefer to go to the other Del Taco in Diamond Bar on Golden Springs....I've had much better experiences there. Once in a while if something is missing or not quite right with the order, they take care of it right away with no hassle. The vast majority of times I've been here our order is 100% correct.
