We hadn't had Del Taco since Michigan in 2022, so we were definitely stoked to find this location before we hit Atlanta. It had to be the easiest, quickest, and most accurate Del Taco in its history. I originally lived in SoCal, oh yeah, the 818, so I've experienced good and bad Del Taco locations. Everyone deserves that feeling when everything goes right at their favorite restaurant--the feeling that comes over us when we get exactly what we desire. No, I'm not talking about White Castle, but all restaurants, regardless of the distance, you have to travel to get that perfect feeling. Plus, I was so hungry I could have eaten twenty Del Tacos. Anyone who follows me knows I only give 5 stars to actual 5 star restaurants. That won't happen for a fast for place; but Del Taco will always be my top fast food Mexican food joint. It just brings back too many awesome memories of growing up in So Cal. They like to use fresh vegetables. They use real hamburger with good seasoning. They stuff their burritos to almost a breaking point. Taco Bell will give you cheaper food but you will never get the freshness or quality you'll get at Del Taco. Food is not only delicious but it doesn't hurt the pocket. You definitely get your money's worth here. The customer service is impeccable and even the manager is welcoming. This is one of the best food places to stop. You can see management working along side the rest of the crew and even though they only offer drive through and cars can be wrapped around the building, service runs smoothly and it is definitely worth the wait in line. Their 69 cent taco is a super bargain. Their fish tacos are authentic and delicious. I'm from Southern California and spent a lot of time in Baja eating fish tacos from street vendors. Del Taco's fish tacos are every bit as good. They even include a wedge of lime. You can get guacamole if you want. Which brings me to my next observation: Today I ordered two fish tacos with guac. The cashier asked me if I wanted two scoops or three. I said two should be more than enough. When I unwrapped the first one, there was no guac. I paid 75 cents extra for it, so I really would like to have it. So I carried the two tacos and receipt into the restaurant and showed it to the gal working behind the counter. She immediately told someone to make up two more with guacamole. I said that won't be necessary, just hit my tacos with a couple of scoops. She said for me to keep the first ones and that they would make two more for free. No way. Who does that? I have been more than satisfied with Del Taco in the past, but this really impressed me. As I was leaving, another gal working there asked if I would like more pico de gallo. And apologized again. Whoever trained these folks did a great job. Good work. Keep it up. Highly recommend. It has been a really long time since I have felt taken care of in a (no offense by saying but "fast food") restaurant in a while. I really just want the staff that worked that night to be recognized and further appreciated for the effort, their concern, and their dedication to your company and it's products. The location: 564 Battlefield Pkwy, Fort Oglethorpe, GA 30742 I walked to the counter and placed my order for some fish tacos, which the young man at the counter sold me on the spicy version (maybe chipotle or habanero), a burrito, and the queso fries. My order was called and told they would bring me my tacos to the table. A young lady brought my tacos with a smile, said sorry for the wait and walked away. Within seconds she said returned and said she was sorry but they are going to bring me new tacos because something was not right. I hadn't even opened the bag nor seen they tacos but she was persistent about fixing the problem that I was unaware of. Minutes later the "correct" tacos came with the same kind smile. It has been truly a long time since I have seen this level of perseverance for doing the right thing in this environment. As a person who has worked in the food & beverage world for a decade + and now a nurse since 2019, this level of dedication and kindness is rarely seen and is even more rarely given thanks for. To the staff that worked that night, I would like to again thank them for their kindness, their dedication, and for their initiative to do the right thing even if it's not for any other reason than to stand behind their product and word. Me,mom,and dad went to Del Taco in Fort Oglethorpe Georgia on Wednesday 23rd 2022 around 4:30pm we placed our order at the drive thru 6-beef tacos and 3-drinks so we pulled up to the drive thru window and the kid says $35 + some change. I said there must be a mistake so the kid proceeds to take the drinks off and he says ok $24 + some change!!! A staple in the west coast, but non-existent in the south, Del Taco is what Taco Bell would be if they actually cared about their food. Take one look at their Crunchtada, their version of what Taco Bell called the "Mexican Pizza", and the difference is evident. You literally can't go wrong on their menu. I work nights, so my review is only for the the 3rd shift workers. This place is on point with the service they provide to their customers. Every time I've gone there, they're very friendly and polite. They've never messed up my orders and they keep the drivethru line moving quickly. They close at 2am. so, they're not 24 hours, which is a bummer because they're the best place on battlefield parkway that's open late at night. I recommend this restaurant because the food is good, your orders are correct, they don't have an attitude problem and you'll be in and out of there in 10 minutes. read more

Not worth the money. I understand that inflation has taken a toll on all businesses, but prices are insane for food that tastes this cheap. We tried to eat inside the restaurant and as soon as we reached the door, an employee locked it and put up a sign saying the dining room was closed. We did drive thru instead and came back around a few minutes later. The sign was gone. Seemed kinda weird, but who knows. The food was meh. The chicken is a weird texture and taste.
