Let me start out by saying I was excited when this restaurant came to Hiram. Always has been one of my favorite, but I got a feeling this place will not last. The employees were rude. The lady up front look down at her phone till I asked her if she was ready. We were the only two in the restaurant and there was dirty tables that were never cleaned. Went through drive through on a busy Saturday afternoon. Service was fast and very efficient. Marquis was very friendly and personable. He smiled through the entire transaction and was very pleasant. He is one of the friendliest fast food restaurant workers I have ever encountered. Outside the restaurant seemed well maintained for an older part of Hiram. I have gone to this Del taco before and this is the first time I'm really needing to express that I was not satisfied with this one item that ordered. I order a shake from there before and it was great, thick with the strawberries and had just enough thickness to have you pushing the straw in and out to get it loose enough to drink. This one listed below, not at all. You can tell they didn't mix it up good enough because you could see where they're used vanilla as the based ice cream. My husband and brother are on their way over there now. We just got delivery and half the damn order is missing. We're calling, but no one is answering. Came in tonight as they appeared to be open, but they were actually having a grand pre-opening. Came to door it was opened by an employee, very courteous, and offered me a menu of free items for tonight only. O ordered the number 1 for me: 2 tacos, fries and drink and number 5 for wife: 2 grilled chicken tacos, fries and drink. Cashier was Naveah, very helpful young lady, very professional and very courteous. Got the food, it was delicious. Ingredients were fresh and service was extremely fast. The tacos had an equal blend of ingredients, fries are the rippled type and darn good for a fast food "mexican" type restaurant. All of the staff were very courteous and efficient. Overall the interior was brightly lit, bustling, and clean. Plenty of parking! This restaurant is right next to a Taco Bell which should make for some interesting competition, but so far this one is going to get my business, unless something changes for the worse. read more

Ok I freaking love Del Taco and moving to Georgia was somewhat better knowing I could get Del Taco regularly. However!!! Half of the time I go they leave stuff out of my order!! It's always something small, like $2 worth of tacos or quesadillas but seeing as it's happened 4 times now that adds up. It is sooo disappointing smelling it the 15 minute drive, getting home, and only to discover I can't find the 2 mini cheese quesadillas I just ordered. HATE!!! I had a craving for Del, so the hubby and I went there after verifying the hours from their site. We pulled up at 1:48 AM to a lady putting a cone in the drive through lane. But Del Taco's site states they close at 3 AM. I would've been able to ignore that had the last past few experiences been bad (super long wait times, half filled tacos, etc). The worst Del taco I have ever been to. The employees were rude. Several times I've been here and they had the dining room closed and almost no business at this location. Next door the Taco Bell dining room open with numerous customers inside enjoying their food. It is very random as to whether their dining room will be open or not. Not sure how the Taco Bell can be so consistent in the Dell taco so inconsistent. In general the food should be fresher at Del taco but I would not trust the employees who make it. I walked up one night and there were at least five team members inside in the door was locked. There was one team member sitting on the floor playing her phone. $30 dollars for 3 tacos and two large fries. The tacos were awful. My taco contained guacamole; I bit into and unintentionally swallowed a huge avocado pit. My daughter only had two bites before stating she didn't want anymore. I do not recommend. read more

Very nice change from Taco Bell. If Taco Bell was Wal Mart than Del Taco is Macy's or Target. This location was very clean and had alot of room. The food just tastes better than Taco Bell too. It tastes fresher, like it wasnt just shipped in a bag. The Tacos were a little smaller but taste alot better. The burritos were definitely bigger and better about the same as Moes but easier to eat. I give it 4 stars only because they rave about their avocados and the one we had was hard( not ripe) and had no flavor. The bathroom was roomy and clean. Some dirt on the floor but it was after lunch and the day laborers tracked mud in. read more

If I could give less than a star, I would. Upon ordering a giant lunch order to go (over $100 worth), I arrive at the time I was given, and not only is my order not ready... But the order is completely incorrect. The manager (I assume he is the manager as he kept screaming "I am the king of this castle" was one of the worst tempered management I have ever seen and I've been in the industry for 15 years). The food was trash... Absolutely terrible. The only saving grace for this place was Cody The girl who helped put my order together, and make sure that things were corrected and made right. She even helped me walk all of the bags out to the car. She clearly needs a raise, and corporate definitely needs to know about their manager who is not fit to be a leader. read more

I have not been this Del Taco once where they have gotten my order right. Many times I have been overcharged and caught them on it and then they act like I'm an idiot when I say something about it. VERY unprofessional. I was offered a substitution for an ingredient they were out of and was charged extra for it without being told. The workers are all incompetent and act like they have no clue what they're doing, many of them ACTUALLY don't know what they're doing. Everyone grumbles and complains if they're asked to re-do an order because they got it wrong. The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1 is because the food is much tastier, better quality, and fresher than Taco Bell. I've become extremely disappointed with this restaurant over the past few months. When they first opened, the food was pretty good. But, I've noticed that the food has gotten worse over time. Today, I ordered a couple of beyond tacos and fries. The tacos seemed to be thrown together and the fries tasted like they were fried in month-old cooking oil and doused with a mountain of salt! The food was horrible! I paid nearly 9 bucks and had to throw most of it out! Yeah, I think I'll take a permanent pass on this Del Taco from now on! Yuck!!! read more

After realizing that I am insane, I am posting this: I expect to get what I ordered, have the food be semi-warm, get hot sauces as requested, & get a receipt. All of the above will NEVER happen at a visit here. Often times workers do not know the menu. You will be shorted something. Although, they will ask if you want hot sauce, they soon forget by the time food finally is ready to be passed off to you. Today, they didn't know that a bean and cheese burrito has the option to be served w/ green sauce. They asked if I wanted green sauce on the side, I said no, just 3 bean & cheese burritos w/ green sauce in it. Burritos were received with no sauce. Also, after confirming what types of hot sauce I wanted, no hot sauce was in the bag. Long wait and no receipt. After ordering 3 crunchtada tostadas, I got one of the 3. These are basic menu items and the level of dereliction is almost specific to this Del Taco only, though most of GA as a whole is lacking. If I was the franchisee, I would be looking to offload this business. There is no way they are reaching there full income potential when it is not uncommon to wait nearly 30 minutes in the drive thru. I cannot convey the how the low the level of this Del Taco is in almost every regard since there is nothing lower than 1-star. foods good. kinda expensive. it pisses me off that recently they started charging $0.50 for 1 chipotle sauce. look its already a $11.50 burrito and I didn't want any other sauces. when you want ketchup or some kind of taco/ burrito hot sauce they put 45 of them in the bag for free. Visited this Del Taco 4 times since it opened. I have only had one experience be somewhat satisfactory. I just sat in the drive thru for 45 minutes. When I pulled up, there was only one car ahead of me, after roughly 5+ minutes I pulled up to the window to order. Other cars pulled in behind me, and it took about 10 minutes before anyone took my order. I would have left but was blocked in at that point. Needless to say, after I placed my order 3 times, I was able to pull forward. Only to sit in line about 25 minutes. Uggh... I was in a hurry to find lunch and decided to try the drive-in. This spot is new to my area and since I saw the ad for beer battered fish tacos, 2/$4 deal I decided to give it a go. I quickly regretted this. First of all there is practically no flavor or consistency in the Taco. It is double wrapped in a tortilla soft shell, which seems to be slapped on the fish without grilling. Also, the fish has no flavor... While leaving a bad taste in my mouth. The only compliment is that the girl in the drive through was nice and patient with me while I was trying to decide what to other. At least Taco bell has flavor in their tacos. read more
