We tried this Mexican restaurant on the recommendation of our hotel and we are glad that we did. We were seated promptly and had great service. The salsa is phenomenal as are the chips. I think. My wife had a burrito and I had enchiladas and both were great. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are local or just passing through as we are. I'll make this stop again when I am near. read more

Agreed to have lunch with a friend at this restaurant because it was located conveniently on my way to work. This was a second visit within two months. First time it was OK. Had a Taco Salad with ground beef. It was nice and the service was normal. This time I chose Taco Salad with chicken. Very bad choice. The chicken was tasteless and too wet, not juicy. So, the entire salad was also too soggy. I should know better than to order precooked chicken at a Mexican restaurant. First, we had a very nice server, but she got busy with a large party. There was another server standing and hanging around. When we were trying to motion and request more sodas, she didn't pay any attention to us. Finally, the manager filled up our drinks. I love Mexican food, but next time I will find another restaurant. read more

Very average Mexican restaurant with below average margaritas. The salsa was pretty good. It is served very cold. Wasn't a fan of the chips. They're super thick and were a tad over cooked. They have a very limited margarita section. I ordered the house and was not impressed. Super watery, just wasn't even a standard margarita. Ordered combination #6. Enchilada & Burrito combo with rice and beans. I guess I was expecting melted cheese on top of the enchilada and burrito. Nope, just a bunch of red sauce. The enchilada was good. Burrito, not so much. And the rice and beans needed salt and salsa on top to add flavor Very kid friendly restaurant. There were kids running all over the place. If you don't have kids and aren't feeling the drinks then this isn't the place for you! read more

La Bamba Mexican Bar & Grill is located and a nicely sized shopping plaza with Publix as an anchor store. There is plenty of parking and the shopping plaza itself is clean and conveniently located just off of the interstate. The service is friendly and professional and the overall atmosphere is somewhat standard in that Mexican restaurant model that also looks like they are trying to appeal to a different crowd by creating and almost bar-like ambience. La Bamba Mexican Bar & Grill pass specials on every day of the week, both food and drink specials. While the food is nothing special, it is not terrible. I guess mediocre is the word that comes to mind. Still, it was convenient to both the interstate and to the hotel that I was staying at. Would I recommend to your? I guess it's served its purpose in both convenience and for providing a hot meal but I got to the hotel kind of late. read more

Clean. Pleasant atmosphere. Steak churrasco was excellent. My son had the fried steak burrito and couldn't finish it (he's 16 and can put away food). I had a Guava Agua Fresca. Delicious. I did not think their salsa was very good. Server was responsive and smiled. read more

This place is awful. I regularly (and happily) visit the Kennesaw location and tried this one tonight since it's technically closer to my home. We got there at 9pm, they close at 10. It took 25 minutes to get our drinks. We ordered cheese dip and it came to us before the chips. We had to ask for chips and salsa! The server asked to take our order twice before we got our margaritas. We ordered chimichangas--what was served to us were burritos. Flour tortillas rolled around meat. We asked the food runner, is this a chimichanga? And he shrugged. I didn't press it, I was already over this place. They turned the music off at 9:50 and started the stare down. Their message was clear--go home! I attempted to order a soft taco for my little boy at about 9:51 and the server said the kitchen was closed. Okay? Door says they are open til 10. They clearly want you out of here MUCH sooner than that. I will NEVER go back to this location. Unwelcoming, slow service, bad food, rude. If you want your staff to go home at 10, close at 9. Simple. read more

Stopped on this exit 277 on a road trip and happened upon La Bamba for lunch. We are huge fans of Mexican food and found this surprising fantastic gem next to the Publix We delighted in the super crispy fresh chips with chunky slightly spicy salsa and skinny margaritas. Perfect combo. Delicious all the way around. We decided on our entree. Shared the fresh make guacamole and mango habanero chicken dish. Healthy. Fresh. Perfectly seasoned. After a day of driving, we found this place, near the hotel. The place was busy. Service was good, food was good. Chips were great, thin and crispy. We ordered a margarita's and taco salads. All was reasonably price too. Glad we stopped in! read more

By far the best authentic mexican restaurant I've ever eaten at. I'm from San Antonio, TX and so I come from really good cultured and mainstream mexican food. I can't believe I'm saying this but La Bamba beat any mexican restaurant in San Antonio (sorry San Antonio!). You know the chips are good because I ate a whole basket and my fiancé tried to take away the second basket and my eyes teared up lol. We laughed about it though. My waitress was amazing with a big smile and happy vibe. The atmosphere is very chill and relaxing. Something I haven't been able to feel in so many years. So far this is the only restaurant I will sit down in since COVID started. Style and decor gives me vibes like I'm in the movie Coco! My only suggestion, more flowers! Thanks so much for such a fantastic experience. I was in desperate need of some good Mexican culture and I got it! read more

We took a large family group, celebrating three 60-year-old birthdays, on an early Friday evening with Ramon's help in securing the tables. He assigned Ana as our server, and she took great care of the 19 of us! Thanks to Ramon, we brought together family from Knoxville, Chattanooga, Nashville, Augusta, Asheville, Signal Mountain, Jacksonville, Winston-Salem, and my husband and me from down the street in Acworth! La Bamba exceeded our expectations with delicious food and a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. We ordered four different dishes and every dish had amazing flavor. I highly recommend the Enchiladas de Tinga. This dish of corn tortillas stuffed with Tinga (shredded chicken in a traditional Mexican tomato sauce) was fantastic. My wife had the carnitas rice bowl. The carnitas were full of flavor, but you could still get all the flavor of the meat. I would imagine it would be amazing in a burrito as well. My daughter had the Nachos supreme. The ground beef was seasoned wonderfully and paired great with the refried beans and housemade guacamole. The service is very laid back. They give you plenty of time to peruse the menu without making you feel rushed and at the same time never ignored. Thank you La Bamaba! read more

This used to be a good spot , but it's become really bad. Solecido Lindo is way cheaper, With so many nearby options like Las Palmas, Huey Lueys, and all the ones on 92 and 41 - this is by far the worst option for Mexican food in the area. Service is always slow, food is bad, and drinks are sloppy. The shady hotel nearby , and some of the local clientele attract obnoxious guests that ruin the ambiance of a family restaurant setting. The chilaquiles are awful. Tortillas are hard, the floor is always unkempt. Mold on the onions. This is by far the worst Mexican place in the area - and there are dozens of options read more

I contacted La Bamba twice but did not get a response at all. This is what I wrote to them on Jan 5th and 9th I called in a to go order so I could pick it up while I was out. Jan 5, 2024 at 12:21. I ordered 2 La Bamba dips. Between the 2 containers there were 11 pieces of steak that was pure gristle. I have never had that when dining inside. So do you typically add the worst cut of meats to the to go orders? 1 was bad enough but that many is ridiculous and biting into that was just nasty and disappointing. La Bamba has always been our go to place. But I think its going to be a very long time before we come back, if at all. I would also like to add that when he picked up the order he decided to buy more chips and salsa. He was charged $4 for 1/2 a bag and there was no additional salsa. Only 1 small container to share with 2 dips. $27.83 plus tip for 2 La Bamba dips with the 1 salsa and the additional 1/2 bag of chips is not going to happen to us again. A $4 bag of chips should at least be almost full since they do need room to twist it down. read more

Pretty basic place. Food is ok...nothing to make it stand out. I've eaten in the restaurant and was underwhelmed. I use them for carry out when I just have to have tacos. Have to say last carry out order I found a big dark hair in my taco salad (I'm red head with short hair) and judging by other comments it's not the first time that has happened. So many Mexican restaurants in the area...can't say I'll be running back. read more

Terrible experience. I sat at the bar and it took about 10-15 minutes before I was able to order a drink, 30+ minutes for queso to come out and 45+ minutes before I was even able to order food and it was over 25+ minutes before I had to demand my food be served before I walked out. It took so long to even order the food that I was forced to order to go just so I could get to my family on time. The bartender was very unaware of her surroundings and just didn't seem to care. read more

Got the seafood enchiladas and they were perfection. Also got the huge margarita to share. We come here for the server Fredy because he remembers what you like and does it without needing to ask. So if you become a regular, you need to ask for Fredy who works on Saturdays and Sundays. We knew him from the Kennesaw location and followed him to this Acworth one. read more

Incredible!!!!! We just ordered to go for our first time trying the restaurant and everything about this experience was great. The staff was super friendly with our transaction and over the phone. The food though- we both got lunch special and queso and it is SO GOOD! So much food and it was hot and fresh. The queso is thick and delicious and the tacos were phenomenal. We got corn tortillas with an insane amount of cilantro (we asked for it this way) and it was so good. Rice is fluffy and fresh. We will be back! read more

ordered from La Bamba for delivery. Two positives - the chips are thin and crispy and I didn't get food poisoning. Those were pretty much the only pluses to my dinner from LaBama. The Pablanos reminded me of an old raw bass. They were cold, soggy and have a taste that I just can't describe but would like to forget. The beef in the fajitas had gristle and wasn't really seasoned. Definitely not a place I would visit again. read more

I ordered dinner for my wife and I online. She got the grilled chicken fajitas and I got the #1 as a supreme. To start her order was missing the rice, beans, guac, etc.. We were staying less than 10 minutes from the restaurant but our meals were cold and had to be heated up to eat. Also my enchilada had a piece of plastic in it. I tried to call several times to make it right but the phone would ring 5 times and hang up. Not happy at all with this dinner experience. read more

Employees at my job wanted to help local business during covid epidemic. We decided to get lunch from this place. We ordered off the website and sent someone to pick up order. Once they got there they were told drinks were not included even though it states that on the website. They then said that was for dine in only. Upon getting back we found out that we were missing two tacos and the fajita plate that was supposed to be without onions had onions on it. Not a good experience for our team. read more

So let me get this straight--you can order different salsas on the app, but in reality they're not available, and somehow that becomes the customer's responsibility? Makes sense. I get that places get busy. I really do.
