This is not a fancy steakhouse or even a fast casual. It's a fast food place. I've been going here for years back west. The food is consistent in meeting expectations, fast and affordable. Went into Del Taco on a break from a convention to grab something for dinner. Everything here was just what you would expect to find in any Del Taco across the country. Same ordering system, same product, same booths. Everything was clean, so the folks there are doing their jobs. I got my order and was out the door in a relatively short amount of time, so all was good with the service as well. The food is just what you would expect from a chain restaurant that centers on Mexican hand-held foods, and my burrito was no different. The place is fine for what you would expect to get. read more

I was really looking forward to going to this location as it was closest to where I was living. I finally had an opportunity to stop in and it was quite a bit of a letdown for me. It's still Del Taco and the food is still good but beyond that there were some issues. I chose to dine in on this occasion and there was plenty of parking available. They've been open for a little while now and things have really slowed down. When you walk inside the first thing that you've noticed is the sign saying to order at the kiosk. I waited till one was available, and I walked up knowing that there would be problems. I already knew what I wanted and had a reward saved in the app. You use your phone number to sign in if you have an account And it has access to what is in it. A page through the menu looking for what I wanted to get, and when I found it, I went to customize it the way I prefer it to be. I discovered that in the app there is no way for me to do that. When I order from a person, I have always been able to get the food the way I wanted it. There were something like three people working in the kitchen area and they were clearly not interested in people who were ordering. Since I couldn't get any attention, I placed my order as the kiosk would allow. I couldn't get exactly what I wanted. I had trouble finding a couple of items while searching. That's probably on me. I then went and waited for my order to be ready. I had ordered to dine in and it didn't take very long. I got my food and sat down. Everything I ordered was prepared as I had ordered it and everything tasted fine. I have had problems with electronic ordering in the past across various companies. It seems there is always something you can do in person that you can't do electronically. I would probably come back, but I would push to order from a human being. The inside of the restaurant was maybe a little smaller than some of their others, but it was generally comfortable and well lit. The tables and such were not very clean, but they were manageable. Food was okay. It was cold when we received it. Not cold from the fridge, but cold like it was left over from another order. As for service... The one taking our order would stop listening to us to turn and talk to the other employees. Not about our order, but about what they wanted to eat, or when they work again. That was odd. He was friendly, but not professional. Then the dinning room. There is a booth next to the drink station. A manager was there with 4-6 employees throughout our time there. Mostly just relaxing and eating. Not a big deal. It was slow when we were there. The three of us were one of two tables besides the employee table. Everyone deserves a break and food. I get it. What I do not get is the two employees that were eating their food leaning against the drink area, preventing us from getting what we needed. When we asked to get to the items they moved. We went on Christmas night. They were plenty busy, and customers were not nice. The staff was amazing. They were answering all the questions, talking through orders, keeping communication going with each other, and busting their rear ends to do it all. This was our first time at a Del Taco, and we liked everything we got. We did get our order to go, but the inside seemed clean considering how busy it was. I do hope the staff is recognized for their hard work, especially on a holiday. read more

We visited del taco on a Tuesday for lunch. I absolutely love their food, and I will always come back for those fantastic burritos, but I will say that I don't love that this spot uses a tablet ordering system. It was hard to get people's attention to ask questions. Also, we had one order to place at the end of our visit to take back to the office for someone, and it took close to 25 minutes for it to be ready. A large group had just come in, but I wouldn't think it should take that long. read more

Horrible customer service. We waited 30 mins to get our food. The employees seemed clueless and many other patrons were waiting a long time for food as well. The place was a bit dirty and the lowlife cleaning the place looked like he just wanted to go home. He should stay home if he doesn't want to work. We stopped by Del Taco, and getting there was super convenient with a direct turn lane from 192 East or West bound. Right when we walked in, we were immediately greeted and offered some recommendations since it had been a while since our last visit. The first thing we noticed was the quality of the soft tortillas--they were really good, soft, and stretchy. We ordered the 2 Stuffed Quesadilla Taco meal (1 chicken, 1 steak), which came with crinkle fries and a drink, as well as a Bean and Cheese Burrito with Red Sauce, a Crunchtada Tostada, and the Caramel Cheesecake Bites. Everything was put together well and tasted great. The caramel bites were a pleasant surprise--they're bigger than expected for something called "bites," with a nice crisp shell and creamy filling that wasn't too sweet. There's plenty of seating inside, including a mix of booths, tables, and individual chairs. Another nice touch was the outlets available at the tables--perfect if you need to charge your devices while enjoying your meal. read more

We stopped by on our way home from the parks. The restaurant was bright and clean. I chose to order from the tablet but I also saw people choose to have a person take their order in the traditional way. The young man who waited on us was chipper and ready to help. He even checked on us 3/4 way through to make sure everything was good. And it was! Excellent American Mexican food. We will be back! read more

We walked out without ordering. We were not greeted. There was a sign to order at the kiosk. There were already two patrons ordering on the only two kiosks available. (Taking quite a bit of time to do so) The kitchen staff was standing around with no orders. The manager was on her phone. We left and drove the 6 miles in the opposite direction to go to the location (5260 W Irlo Bronson) that we know has great service and the food is always on point. What can I say? Service is still important. So much so that we drove out of our way to go to another location. Did the kiosk really do the owner or the patron a service? In this case, I don't think so. read more

Absolutely disgusting, Taco Bell compare to this stuff is amazing! Mega bundle that supposed to feed 3-5 people can barely feed two, and I'm small eater! Not gonna mention even the fact that delivery from down the street arrived all cold as ice! read more

This place just opened within the last 2 months and it is Filthy, dirty and disgusting when you look at the floors. I don't know if they have ever mopped. We also had 2 families in the car that wanted to place 2 separate orders, "they don't do that". So we placed online orders and the directions are not very clear as to where to pick up your food. You have to get out of your car, go up to a black box, wait for "the code" and then get your food. The food was mediocre at best. We live locally and will not be back! read more

Hit the drive thru, never had Del Taco before. $50 mistake. Order was incomplete. Everything was crammed into two bags and smashed. Tacos and burritos barely had anything in them. The staff here clearly doesn't care about the food they put out. Super disappointed and will never be back to a Del Taco. read more
