Since there are no Del Taco's near me, I try to go whenever I see one. We were passing through and I ordered online ahead of time for pickup. When I arrived, the staff member asked if I was there for pickup and handed me a bag. He didn't ask for my name. So very trusting. I guess maybe there's not too much pickup orders. I stopped to check if my order was correct. And also to use the restroom, which needed a code. The guy happily gave it to me. Restroom was decent and clean. Anyways I got a chicken quesadilla (my go-to) and a chicken del carbon with avocado taco. The hubby got 6 crunchy tacos and crinkle cut fries. We stopped at a nearby park to devour our food. Got in line at the drive thru last night at 8:15pm, got food at 9:23. I'm pretty lenient with food places right now because I know the industry is hurting for workers, but over an HOUR with only 6 cars in front of us? That's a stretch. I could have gotten seated at a restaurant, eaten, and paid in that amount of time. You would think at that rate you're at least getting fresh food, but sadly no. After patiently waiting an hour this is the most disappointing and ridiculous presentation of a tostada I could have gotten... and I honestly think they forgot the beef because all I could taste was beans. I just paid way too much for the worst fish tacos I have ever had. They were overcooked and dry.

This location is a pain to enter and exit, but I've done it several times in the past few days without issue. (Although I've been there at off hours, so at busier times it's probably much worse) It's been a long time since I've been to Del Taco, and I remember why I liked it so much when I lived in an area with one. I really enjoy the cheddar chicken quesadilla, the combo burrito, and the regular tacos. Everything has tasted fresh and the the chicken actually tastes like real chicken with no weird textures. I also like that the cheese doesn't have a funky smell or taste like Taco Bell. I also like that a regular taco is under .75 cents, and I find the other items to be fairly priced too. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. First thing they said cash only. Ok no big deal. We are traveling through and had no idea. We ordered 2 double del burger combos and the Pattie's were shriveled like shoe leather and the bun actually had a dark spot from sitting under the heat lamp at obvious close range. The tomatoes were complete mush and we also ordered 2 chicken soft tacos. The edges of the tortillas were hard, they had almost nothing in them and what was in them was mush. So obviously they had been sitting a very long time. The only thing that was semi normal was the soda. We had gotten off the freeway and found this place because we have always had good food from del taco(for fast food) hot and fresh. This made us have upset stomachs and we are still tasting it hours later from just the few bites we actually ate. Please don't go there, your stomach will never forgive you if you do. We come to this location because it is the closest one to us. I grew up next to a Del Taco in Huntington Beach, CA... and I have to say in comparison this one just always disappoints so bad. They serve French Soggies regularly. I don't think they even grasp the concept of French FRIES (they are supposed to be FRIED). It's always just thrown together, you have to open every taco and burrito to even things out so you're not taking a bite of just cheese or just beans. How hard is it to lay ingredients evenly and then roll?? But the French Fries... holy moly, Del Taco, cook the damn potatoes to a crisp... you know... fried?? Let's just say... I'm not one to give 4 stars or more to a fast food joint. But I think this one is deserved. The location is ok, it's a bit of a pain to get to, but that's more the cities fault than the restaurant. It is very fresh, clean and bright inside. This could be due to it being just a couple months old. Either way, it's nice. I love that they still have a decent dollar menu, heck last time I filled up for about $2.60. And the stuff on the dollar menu is actually good! Don't ask me about the other stuff, I'm cheap. For $1 you get a 1/2 pound burrito or some nachos. For $0.69 you get a decent crunchy taco! Kinda reminds me of the ones Taco Bell used to serve before they got all crazy with their flavors. I still like TB but sometimes I just want a plain cheap taco or burrito. Just don't go here. Seriously. I have been here about 3 times in the last month and EVERY time they get the order wrong. The first time they repaired the order and comped us fries. The second time we came back for them to put in what they missed and they still didn't get it all the way right. The third time they completely messed up the order and communicating with the kid at the drive thru was like pulling teeth so I gave up and just left. I am not even giving them one star. Statistically speaking, if a place messes up my order three times, they will likely mess up yours too. I finally asked if they were open and a person turned from the back area and said yes pointed his finger at me saying I'll be with you in a minute.
