Tried this place out after a day on the lake. Was super hungry. Rest of us wanted burger King, so I stopped here and bought 4 Del Tacos. The wait time in the drive thru was "no joke" 20+ minutes. I would've just left the line but couldn't since your stuck with trees, bushes, etc.. paid the $7+ dollars. Back to hotel, each taco was maybe 50% full!! Tasted like crap, cold and taco shells stale!!! I'm like wtf idiot filled this order and thought 50% ingredients was OK to send out the window? Got damn man. I filled out a complaint online. Won't be back! See pix! Worst tacos I've ever had! Phuku del yuko!

"Epic" my butt this is crap for $6!!!

Tell those skinny tweakers to put some dang food in the tortillas!!! Seriously quit skimping!

I asked for no lettuce not no chicken!

I've been to this location a handful of times and it was decent just one time. They have teens working that should be fired, they don't listen to orders any time I've been here, I ordered a bunch of chicken soft tacos no lettuce because they don't reheat well with lettuce and every single tacos except for 1 had lettuce and of course that 1 was the one I happened to check, i didn't think I needed to open every damn taco to check it! There was hardly any meat or cheese in the tacos too, definitely didn't get what I paid for or asked for! The last time I went here, about 4 months ago I legit received a half eaten burrito that was rewrapped to look normal, what the hell is wrong with you guys... I posted a pic of my tacos from this trip and also the burrito from my last trip, I'm also not rude so I don't understand what their damn issue is here but they're disgusting here and I'll be reporting them to corporate this time.

What a terrible, terrible Del Taco. From someone who has been going to DT's since I was born, this was the worst experience of them all. Drive Thru took over 28 minutes...and they weren't even that busy. They were out of carne asada and by the time we actually got to the window, the person working inside was filthy. No mask, he was wearing a shirt that had a half naked woman on it. I'm not a prude, but to run a business this way is unbelievable. The ironic thing of them posting a sticker on the window that says "we wear masks and gloves" and the guy behind it isn't, what else are they not doing? They can't keep food stocked, they can't get orders right and it takes almost half an hour for three cars to get through a drive thru? What a terribly ran restaurant.

    Just gross

This place is nasty dirty... we got ignored for a bit when we first arrived and the food was nasty... the corn tortillas were undercooked and almost non edible..

Its good practice in the service industry to LISTEN TO YOUT CUSTOMER, and when they say no cheese, don't don't give them EXTRA.

When we walked in, we were greeted and sat immediately at a booth. It wasn't too busy at all and ambiance was fairly quiet. Karen was our server and welcomed us in and took our drink order and brought us chips and salsa right away. I ordered a classic Shirley Temple and it was notstalgically good. As my lunch entree, I ordered the Camarones Mexicanos. It arrived hot and full of flavor. I considered the shrimp as more medium sized and of adequate quantity. The mushrooms soaked up the flavor of the onions and peppers and I enjoyed how my rice was cheesy with melted cheddar Jack. For dessert, I went with the classic flan. It was a dense piece of vanilla custard with great texture and form. There was no strawberry sauce so it must be seasonal thing, but it had caramel sugar sauce that was traditional to flan. The other two people I was with, bothered ordered lunch combos and both were satisfied with their choices. Karen was a great server--friendly, attentive, and even refilled drinks without being asked. Overall, Rancho Viejo is a great sit-down spot for authentic Mexican food that's a notch above average and much better than many of the fast food Mexican joints around town.

UPDATE see my original review below. I just read through all…read morethe comments and actually saw some after I wrote my review saying the same thing customer saying the same thing about the same food and how is bland and it apparently this restaurant does nothing about these reviews and doesn't listen to us as customers. I have absolutely no confidence that this restaurant is gonna survive. I would bet you that they're operating on a negative profit margin every month right now. And even with that they just still don't get it that they have to change their food and up their game. It looks like what other people are saying on here is that their sauces are not authentically ground from the peppers and everything that normally people do when they make Mexican food. That the meat is horrible. That they are not seasoning it so whoever's doing the cooking obviously is not somebody that knows how to cook and taste their own food. How can you make chicken like that for a burrito for crying out loud this is all you do in life is put chicken and burritos and tacos but you don't ever taste the meat? You can't tell that it's like not juicy? It has no flavor? It taste like you froze it and then microwaved it or put it in a crockpot without flavor? I just don't get it. You can see my original review below. And just like I said before it looks like this restaurant does not ever read the reviews because what you will see is that this review of mine will be on here for years and they'll never be any response online openly from the manager to address this issue. I'm on a road trip from California so I have Mexican food all the time there and so I decided to have a chicken burrito from this place. I ordered takeout and if they said, do you want sour cream on it I said yes I just said go ahead and put everything on it. I just want a good chicken burrito so I got this chicken burrito inside of this package and the tortilla was soggy and it was not like a grilled tortilla like toasty. The chicken meat inside of it was absolutely dry, overcooked, and really bland. It almost tasted like somebody had thrown it in a crockpot for eight hours and left it cause it just soaked all the fat out of it. It wasn't tender or anything. I was strongly suggest that that would be a number one priority at this restaurant is to not serve that kind of chicken meat. It's not good in any way shape or form. The only kind of chicken meat you should be serving out that chicken in the burritos is fried grilled in your kitchen right before right when you make the burrito and then cut it up and put it in the burrito and it needs to be juicy and not overcooked which means that you cannot freeze the chicken. Now that I think about it, it taste like the chicken was previously frozen, which took some moisture out of it and then it was crockpot ted which took the rest of the fat out of it, and then they served it in the burrito. It failed in all the categories, and I don't understand that if somebody's gonna put this much money into a restaurant why they would serve something like that. On my road trip I actually had a burrito from that gas station called Maverick or Mavic. The burrito at that place was superior than the one I got from this place. It should not be that way and I'm not saying this to be mean I'm being very honest about it with a ton of experience growing up in California with Mexican food all the time. So what I'm saying is I also noticed that I pay a little over $15 for this burrito. Isn't this Montana? Why am I paying above California prices for this burrito? I get the same level of burrito and grilled meat flavorful and good for $13 and something change in California in an expensive city. So tonight, I was very disappointed. I got a burrito that had meat in it that was not prepared right that was bland in a soggy tortilla where it was like pulled chicken and it was barely edible. On top of everything I was overcharged. Let me think? In California people that would work in that restaurant would have medical benefits and get paid a minimum of $20 an hour. With that taking into account, the burrito is about $13.50 in California and it was prepared better. Is there some reason why this burrito was over $15? I was really shocked and I just don't understand it. I would never come back to this place again if I lived here. These are just my opinions and I'm being truthful and I'm not saying this. I'm not your competitor. I'm just somebody traveling through that has experiencing this type of food their whole life. There is much better out there and you gotta step up your game or you're gonna wind up going out of business like a lot of restaurants.

The food was responsible for the least enjoyable eating experience I've had in the last decade, for Mexican food, maybe ever. The scarcity of meat in both the enchiladas and the burrito makes me suspicious of some sort of pollo shortage, and it may be coinciding with a shortage beans and rice, as the two tablespoon portion of both left us wanting, just not wanting more of those items, as they were also inadequate. They must have cheap drinks to retain business, unfortunately we were not imbibing, and even if we were, I believe the experience would be sobering. This would all be well and good if it was a place you could get a quick sloppy bite to eat that came with a shockingly low price tag, but it's priced the same as rancho viejo or any other Mexican restaurant that offers charming wait staff, flavorful food, and solid portions. If their drinks are insanely cheap (and I didn't check) then all this makes sense and you can disregard the novel I've written.
