Shredded beef bean and cheese. Definitely not worth the hype
    Fred F.

I have had some really good fish tacos here. Also some really good and inexpensive breakfast items. But I have to say, the shredded beef burrito- for me- in my opinion, sucks so very bad. It's like a mushy wet bean burrito with hair like strands of beef. No beef flavor that I noticed. I was so excited to try it I fell for the buy two for less option that I regretted. I have food love memories of a place in Riverbank that hasn't existed in many years. They had a miraculously good shredded beef burrito. I have asked some of the older business owners there if they remember Taco Joes , and every time, they look up in almost mournful remembrance and say OH yes! We miss them.

The prices are decent the foods pretty decent it always hits the right spot when I want to fish taco my only complaint is that my order today. I requested guacamole on my fish tacos and then when I receive them and got the bill they charged me for the extra guacamole but no guacamole on my tacos. Not a big deal The food was still good and it definitely hit the spot

    Fresca Veggie Bowl

I like Del Taco's menu. They have good options are reasonable prices and, while they're not exactly healthy, they're not the worst. Taco Bell, however, may be more healthy because of all the oatmeal they have in their taco meat. I tried the Veggie Fresca Bowl, hoping that it was a lot like the various burrito bowls I've had on the east coast. If you have never been to Chipotle, the Fresca Bowls will be similar to Chipotle's bowls, except that you are given option-after-option to build your Chipotle bowl and Del Taco has a certain way to make theirs. I was quite pleased with the result, especially at $4.00. Had I been at one of the places in the eastern half of the country (including Chipotle), the prices would have been $5.99 to $6.99. I asked about adding taco meat to the veggie bowl, which was a possibility at extra cost. The service at this location was good, although there is a healthy dip and scrape getting into the group of restaurants along Salida Blvd. Update 2014.11.10: I tried the Veggie Bowl again but with taco meat this time, for an extra $0.60 and some taco sauce. It reminded me of Chipotle-like burrito bowls.

First time try the chicken street tacos here and it's taste delicious. Drive-thru service is excellent.

Worst Del Taco ever. Burritos are always burnt and the employees can't speak English so you can't understand a dang thing they say.

Located in a somewhat industrial area bordering the countryside, it feels like a well-kept local secret--but judging by the crowd, the secret is definitely getting out. We arrived early and were told that the restaurant would become busy. Sure enough, within about 15 minutes, the entrance was jam-packed with people waiting for tables. We were also told that if we had waited until 11:00, we might never have gotten in! The Biscuit Basket serves breakfast and lunch only, and apparently plenty of people know to arrive early. The interior has a pleasant, country-simple décor that feels comfortable and welcoming. Even more impressive was the exceptionally friendly staff. Our server, Adrian, was personable and attentive. He checked on us several times, kept the coffee filled, and made sure the tea was taken care of. Another gentleman delivered our meals and also took time to talk with us. He asked whether we needed anything else and enthusiastically described our selections as some of their best dishes. He was not merely delivering plates--he was proud of what he was serving and continued selling the experience as he went along. The food was delicious. We had biscuits and gravy, I had an omelet, and we both had fresh fruit. Sharon particularly remarked on the quality of the fruit, and I noticed it as well. Restaurants sometimes serve fruit that is underripe or past its prime, but this appeared to have been selected carefully. Everything was fresh, properly ripe, and right on point. We also learned that the people behind the Biscuit Basket have connections to several other successful local restaurant businesses associated with Dan Costa. That experience certainly shows. From the food and service to the smallest details, everything was done exactly right. The Biscuit Basket easily earns five out of five stars--and deserves bonus credit for getting the entire experience right. It was wonderful to see a local business doing so well, and we will definitely return.

We had the country fried steak which was probably the best one I have ever had in my entire life! My sons had chorizo and eggs and the other one had chocolate pancakes, ham and eggs. We also got a Nutella Crepe because my youngest had never had a real crepe before. The food was all amazing. We cleaned every plate between a 47 year old, 13 & 8 year old! We couldn't stop eating!! The place was clean and for such a busy brunch we were sat very quickly! Service was amazing as well! The staff was so accommodating, friendly and professional! They were so hard working turning those tables over and checking on tables all the time. We didn't have to wait for plates to be cleared or refills of Iced Tea!! Like I said I can't believe I haven't been back to this place in such a long time but that is going to change!! I will be back as much as I can! Bagel with ham egg and cheese 5/5 Bagel was fresh and perfectly toasted the eggs were seasoned well and everything else was good we split this and the bowl Açaí bowl was actually very tasty my only problem and reason for not giving 5 stars all around is that I have a nut allergy and specifically asked the girl if the bowl had any nuts in or on it she said no so I said there's no peanut butter or nuts in the granola? And again was told no. The granola does in fact have almond slivers in it luckily I am not so allergic I will die from it or need an epi pen I just usually break out in hives for a few hours and then I'm fine and typically it's more peanuts than other nuts anyway but working in a restaurant you really should be aware of what is in your foods that way someone doesn't have a bad reaction.
