Really disappointing experience. I ordered a sandwich on sourdough, but the bread was stale and hard like it had been sitting out all day. It made the sandwich tough to eat and honestly ruined it. What makes it worse is that this cost me $35 -- my last $35 -- and I could've put that in my gas tank instead. For that kind of money, the least you expect is fresh bread. Definitely not worth it. FOOD POISONING! My wife bought me a sandwich (Turkey ham cheese cold with the works) from here the evening of Monday the 27th 2019. 2 hours after eating it I felt like I was going to die. Had a fever, was throwing up and defecating water all night and the most part of the next day. Popped blood vessels all over my face and eyes from dry heaving. My whole body aches. The second day I was nauseous the whole day. I was able to choke down a pack of top ramen. Still couldn't get off the couch for very long. I dont have a weak stomach. I eat stuff that gets left out too long without a problem. This was definitely food poisoning and it was definitely from here. Missed 2 days of work because of it. I would have written this review early, but today is the first time in two days I've felt like doing anything besides what I mentioned earlier. I found it rude that I asked for 3 water cups to go with our food for dine in and the employee didn't say a word but sneakily added 3 $2.49 charges for water cups. This evening (Sun, 10Mar19) I stopped by Togo's to pick up a couple of sandwiches for dinner. There were two young ladies working at the time. When I entered the shop it was approximately 6:45pm and I was one of about five customers in the store. The two young ladies were not the fastest sandwich makers I've seen at Togo's. As they prepared sandwiches and customers paid and left, other customers entered, This was still prior to the 7:00pm closing time. There ended up with a gain of three customers to eight customers. During this time the two employees were very vocal about 7:00pm being closing time and they pointedly kept looking at the clock. Four customers decided to leave! The one employee nearly ran to lock the door! Four customers came to the door just at 7:00pm and the one employee, in my opinion quite rudely told them that the shop was "closed". If my order ($22.00) and the others are any indication of an average ticket the shop lost $140.00in sales at a minimum. The employees maintained their running loud conversation about closing. I felt uncomfortable. I know the four that left definitely were uncomfortable about the situation. Over the years I've managed a number of restaurants and the one rule common to them all was a customer present at closing was served. Employees were not to make the customer feel that they were an imposition. In my opinion the employees were very unprofessional and I would not have wanted them working at any restaurant I ever managed! read more

We visited based on a coworker's recommendation. The big sub chain that we have back home can't hold a candle to this place. SO got the italian sub, which tastes like Olive Garden's salad on a sub. The sourdough bread for it was fresh and full of flavor. So good. My turkey & cranberry sub on whole wheat was good too. I had them add provolone to it because i love cheese. I only gave four stars because the prep area where they make the sandwiches looked messy. Their soda machine had pretty limited options, too. Today was "boys" day just my son and I. We decided to get some shopping done while momma and daughter were away. We decided on sandwiches for lunch. Since TOGO'S was close by, we stopped by. We walk in, (8 people all at once, separate orders, some don't know what they want to order.). I have been eating Togo's for more than 30 years. Over time they went from deli-quality sandwiches to more fast-food style. The quality has been dropping as the prices continued to climb; today when my wife called me and asked if I was hungry for Togo's, I told her I was staving and would like: (Togos if your listening) A large #16 w/mayo, no mustard or tomato, on sour dough. She brought home three sandwiches: mine, hers, and one for the kids to split. Mine was made exactly as I ordered. When I took my first bite, I knew something was wrong but I continued to eat. The veggies were fresh and I could taste the mayo. As I continued, I could tell the meat was not so fresh. The last bite I took of the quarter of the sandwich was almost pure meat. The meat was SPOILED! I don't know which cut of meat it was but oh, my god was that disgusting. Was I crazy? This place makes sandwiches all day, they could not have spoiled meat in circulation. I made my wife taste it. After a few chews, she spits it out into a napkin and asked me how the hell could eat as much as I did. I wrapped up the 3/4s I didn't eat and she attempted to get a refund. The manager was a total jerk to her. "The meat is fresh everyday", "nobody else complained", "maybe your husband wasn't in the mood for a sandwich (that's a good one)" are some of the excuses he mansplained to her. She got a coupon for a free sandwich for her next visit. Mind you it's not free, the first sandwich had rotten meat and had to be thrown out. What a disappointment; I was really hungry and in the mood for a sandwich. I was prepared to eat whatever quality they were gonna dish up, just not spoiled meat. Couldn't stomach that. I ordered a Santa Fe wrap with a bag of Lay's Baked Potato Chips and a Coke online this morning. When I went to pick up my food this afternoon on my lunch break, I was told that they ran out of Lay's Baked Potato Chips and had to choose a substitute. I wasn't given a notification via email or anything. I even told the woman behind the counter that they were available online this morning when I ordered, her response was "it's not in our inventory". Wow, I don't know why so many people have rated Togo's so badly!! I love comming here! It's clean inside and the food is always good. I've never had any problems with the staff. True, there can sometimes be a long line, but come on! That's becuase they make bomb sandwiches! My favorite sandwiches are the: 1) Hummus, 2) Egg Salad & Cheese, and 3) Avocado & Cucumber. Ordered online. Went down at the indicated time. They had my order ready to fill (it was a hot sammy) and I was out the door in 1min 30 secs. What more can you ask for besides better quality meats (which do vary from store to store)? Oh, and a Yelp coupon to actually work on their site. Store was reasonably clean and staff were friendly. Although I did not find the Boom Boom Pastrami that compelling of a product to last long, I did not downgrade them for the new menu item.
