Here's an update on this location since I still come here often after my 2023 review. The service has definitely changed. The worst Del Taco ever. As a former employee of Del Taco, many years ago, I can speak from experience that this is poor customer service. This saddens me because this Del Taco is closest to my house, but I will find another. There are several nearby and all have the same menu. It's the salsa that brings the business. Here is the issue: The employee will ask how many hot sauce packets you want, and then they give less every time. I gave them three chances and every time, they shorted me. If you order a ton of food, such as a Fiesta Pack, one would expect a ton of Scorcho Salsa, or at least more than ONE SMALL PACKET PER item, but that is the case. They ask and short the amount of packets. They do not give enough packets to fit the amount of food. This is not the first time this has happened to me, but it will be the last. Seriously. San Bernardino ca 92404 Store #1295 To Whom It May Concern, I'm writing to formally express my frustration and dissatisfaction with the service I received at your location on June 4, 2025, and again on June 5, 2025. On 6/4, I placed an order and received an incorrect meal. I ordered a Coke Zero but was given a Dr Pepper instead. Additionally, my breakfast roller was missing ingredients--it only contained egg, with no bacon, which was supposed to be included. I called the location immediately and was told by the employee (a heavyset woman working the drive-thru window that day) that she would write down my name for a correction and had spoken with the cook. I was under the impression the issue would be resolved. The following day (6/5), I returned to the store and spoke with a Hispanic female employee with her hair pulled back and a tattoo on her neck. She informed me that my name was not written down and claimed she could not do anything to help. I explained who I spoke to the previous day, but she offered no resolution and instead gave me the name of the manager, Jaime. When I called to speak with Jaime, the situation escalated. He was condescending, dismissive, and unprofessional. He outright accused me of lying, saying there was no record of my name and denying the employee I described even worked there. Rather than offering to look into the situation, ask his team, or follow up, he told me I must have gone to another Del Taco--essentially calling me a liar multiple times. This was completely unacceptable. I'm a professional, and this isn't about the cost of a Coke Zero or breakfast roller--it's about principle and customer service. I do not appreciate being spoken to in such a demeaning way. Jaime clearly lacks the communication and problem-solving skills necessary to be in a managerial role. I felt devalued, disrespected, and unfairly treated. It's not about the food--it's about the attitude and lack of accountability. I expect a formal acknowledgment of this complaint and appropriate corrective action taken. My experience this morning was upsetting. Note to Jaime: you need to take managerial 101 course, so that you know how to deal with customers who are honest. You lack the worse managerial skills. Hopefully, this can be a learning experience for you. Note: 6-10-2025 I called to filed a complaint a week ago and have not heard back from the Del Taco corporate office. Obviously there is a link missing and Del taco does not pride themselves with excellent customer service. If this was me handling this issue I would have reached out to the customer who was filing a complaint. We're at 5 days and still no call back from the corporate office. Wrong is wrong. Jaime the store manager does not have the ability to investigate but accuse me of trying to steal 1.00 roller and a Coke Zero by calling me a liar that my odor was not wrong because my name was on left on a list after an associate took my information. He met the wrong person. It's all principle Jaime. You should not be in the position you were given. I will not let this go. I don't care how high I have to go but this issue will be resolved and your lack of professionalism will be exposed. read more

Very friendly service but zero quality control happening in the kitchen. Grayish, soggy fries is definitely not what I expected to pay for. When they do them right, their crinkle cut fries are my favorite but today that was not the case. Also, my double del cheeseburger had a stale bun. I paid for this? This all came from the trash. I got a green bold burrito and I've had issues about this burrito before. So it's been a very long time since I been to this location, so I thought I would try again the same burrito! Tried their $5 Birria beef ramen out of curiosity. I've always liked Del Taco fast food. Not the best nor authentic Mexican food as everyone knows. Services were always good at 40th Street Del Taco. Expedient and friendly. For$5 cannot expect much on ramen. It is fast hot broth, flavors of beef and noodles. Not spicy. Small bowl. Got it through Drive Thru. Was pretty good for $5! It is definitely one of the better del tacos I go to and certainly the best fast food location in the immediate location (I won't get into all the issues with the others). Service is always excellent and ambiance is fantastic, comparatively. They have no hesitation in giving some extra sauce, which is a huge plus for me. I got a soft taco meal with under cooked and over salted fries, a cup of water because they were out of bottled water and no regular tacos because the cashier didn't add them to my order. We ordered postmates. The seal was completely on each bag perfectly. But when we ate our food...There was a hair in the chicken roller. My husband was enjoying his food until he was finishing his last few bites out of the chicken roller and a thick long black stran of hair was in his mouth as he was chewing! I have been going to this del taco for 15+ years on our way up to lake arrowhead. The food across Del Tacos are pretty standard and sometimes the service is slow but its always fresh and the staff is great. My dad recently left his phone there and the manager was so nice and saw my missed call and called me back saying she will be keeping his phone safe in the safe there. Very professional and caring. They went above and beyond. My go to is always an order of chili cheese fries and a bean burrito... pro tip for the burrito- it comes with red or green sauce but ask for the creamy chipotle sauce instead.
