Worst Del Tack I've been to, I ordered a "snack taco" and Hellen who took my order heard "Del Taco" so as I came to the window. I told her snack taco correct? We live near the one on Stearns but eat at this one due to foreign things in the food at the other restaurant, messed up orders and a general lack of trust for the nearer location. I came to this Del Taco location since I was in the plaza at Tmobile store and wanted some fries. I made the order through the app since I was thought it would make my food be ready faster. After I walked out of the tmobile store, I went back to the Del Taco app and tap that I'm here. When I walked inside the store, the worker said they just started making the fries so I would have to wait. The good thing about this is that the fries will be fresh but the bad thing is that the wait was about 5 minutes. So ordering through the app doesn't mean anything until you actually got to the area where Del Taco is and check in. The fries were delicious, seasoned well and fresh. The interior of this Del Taco is better than most that I seen. Bathroom is also outside so it's not inside the store. My score: Food: 5 star, the fries were delicious and that's usually why I'll come here. Atmosphere: 4 star, it's not the best and it's not the worst. Everytime I come here, I regret it. I pull up to the drive-thru and order a cheeseburger kids meal. The person taking the order tells me they no longer sell kids meals. She goes on to tell me everything has to be ordered a la carte. So, the kids meal that used to cost about $5 or $6, now costs almost $10. Ridiculous. read more

I go to this Del Taco often. The food is always great, the workers are always cool, and the wait time is low. The best Del Taco I've ever been to. This was absolutely the BEST Coke I've ever had. It tasted as if the dude in the drive-threw had just gone to the NorthPole to get a Coca-Cola from a PolarBear... came back, popped the top off a cold 1 and poured it over ice. If you have ever wanted to be mistreated in a relationship, but don't want to make the commitment, eat here, because they will treat you like garbage every chance they can, especially at the drive thru window late at night. Service sucks but there was one skinny white kid with glasses (no offense) that does treat his customers pretty good through the drive thru. Haven't seen him around though lately. Probably quit. And the guy through the voice box. I think his name is "Jose". He's pretty nice to talk to, but sadly, he is never the one at the service window. He's just the voice that takes your order. Come out of the box Jose! I would happily order from you! Food is honestly in between 2-2.5 stars. They skimp on toppings compared to most Del Tacos I've been to. After round and round he charged me $5.98 for 2 small scoops a total of $5.98 and mind you NO MEAT and yet I paid for the meat anyhow. And now for guacamole Too. Just got back from this del taco. Haven't been in over a year. Now I remember why? Ordered just 2 single Del cheeseburgers and 1 fry. Food was hot and service was ok .. but the burgers have gone down hill. The reason I used to love them they were always juicy and thicker than others and still a good price. My son left his debit card in the drive thru of the Del Taco on Cochran St. in Simi Valley, CA, early morning April 16, 2021. By the time he remembered and retrieved his card back from Del Taco later that day, almost $100 in stolen charges had been placed on his card; 2 gas station charges, one burger restaurant, and a coffee shop. He called the restaurant 3 separate times to be told "no manager here". When he was finally able to speak with the manager, he was told cards left behind are just placed on a desk out in the open. The manager stated he would "look into it". A week later and still no response. Not sure if management colludes in these activities, but they evidently condone it by way of inaction to protect their customers from theft by employees in this establishment. note- Yelp made me give them at least 1 star. The employees are always nice and have good customer skills. I know the drive-thru can get hectic, but they get it done. The issues I have with the food at this location is the sauces on soft tacos and burritos are hit or miss. One day my Mango Taco had no sauce, another day it has a bit of sauce, come'on the SAUCE makes the food. The oil needs to be changed out because the tater tots we got were cold, crusty and yet greasy of stale smelling oil. The rest is good. I also feel like Del Taco should start selling the red sauce, but the thing I don't like about Del Taco is that sometimes the cheese doesn't melt and that grosses me out! Tonight at the drive thru, two employees were talking while I was at the window to pay. It was definitely not a work friendly conversation. My underage daughter was in the car with me and their conversation was getting uncomfortable.
