We hadn't been to Sharky's for years and I was craving nachos, so we ordered for take out. I was given a Waygu smash burger taco for free, from the app. It tasted just like a hamburger, good sauce. We had the children's salmon with brown rice, and broccoli. Quite a bit of broccoli and the salmon was about a 1.5" slice. Great portion size for a child. My son enjoyed it. The nachos are gigantic! Easily can serve 4 or more people as a meal (states as an appetizer). We ordered with chicken and the mixed beans. Tasted good. Only complaint is how small the sour cream container was. Absolutely delicious nachos. These are the half nachos and it still was super filling. I am stuffed! I also really love the taquito and how it comes with a certain seasoning on top. My first time trying Sharky's even though I drive by the location in Oxnard off of Rose Ave weekly. It reminds me a lot of Chipotle only there is no assembly line. There is a salsa bar with 8 or so salsas to choose from. I ordered the Sharky burrito with steak, pinto beans and I chose the hot salsa. I ordered it to go in case I didn't have enough time to finish it while sitting outside on the patio to eat. It came with a small bag of warm tortilla chips too. I paid $17.90 for a burrito and a soda. My order was done in about 5 minutes. The meat, beans and rice felt proportional where they were represented in equally amounts. The burrito itself feels on the smaller side which is smaller than most Mexican restaurants I am accustomed too. So it definitely gives you that fast-food burrito vibe. The steak was very flavorful and the hot sauce was not too hot but enough to taste it in the burrito. My favorite salsa was the avocado salsa. The cashier was nice and had greeted me when I stepped in. The dining area was clean and so was the bathroom. We just wanted our food prepared correctly due to allergies. They got our order wrong twice and manager blamed us for not knowing what we are allergic to and charged us for 3 separate orders. Sharky's is very consistent across the board which I love. You know what you're going to get when you order. This is my new go-to location since it's on the way home from the barn. Everyone is very friendly and you can also order ahead of time on their app. This location is spacious, with their standard salsa bar. My usual order is the two grilled mahi fish tacos combo plate. I really like their new crispy tacos where they met cheese on the tortilla, includes protein and guacamole. It's really delicious. One thing that I love is that you can ask to sub corn tortillas if you can't have flour. The nachos are a big hit but it is also a huge portion - it's served in a pizza box. I'm a fan of their chips, they are perfectly salted. Their sangria is soooo good. It comes in a mason jar, filled with fruit. I always get my order to go and I appreciate how they repeat and show you your order before they hand it off. I don't think I've ever had a missing or incorrect item. I ordered same thing again and a Fiesta burrito on Sun Nov 16, the burrito had like 4 pieces of chicken in it and no cheese! My tacos were mostly beens hardly any chicken, my soup had barely any cheese and no tortilla straps! I get the economy is rough, but when I'm paying for same thing as I did on Fri night why the big change? I feel ripped off, very dissatisfied with this experience! I will be thinking twice before I come back again! It's too bad, cause this is 1 of the only good healthy food options in Simi Valley. We have been ordering here since they opened. I love Sharkeys. Truly. But this pissed me off tonight, and I am sharing. We grilled up our own Pollo Asada and ordered sides: Chips, guacamole; grilled veggies and rice / beans. When I opened the guacamole, which isn't cheap, it was not a full side. Normally, and I say this, because we order the same thing all the time, the little tub is filled with guacamole. Tonight, they literally decided to challenge my customer loyalty. If management is reading this, don't charge us for a product you aren't going to deliver. I'll give you one more chance. Blow it again, and we go to Baja for the same items. We have been to this Sharky's several times now, including last evening. While it's not in a location as scenic as the one in Westlake Village, the food quality is spot on. Seriously generous portions for items like tostadas and nachos. Dear Hubby and I split a tostada, adding grilled salmon. The salmon steak was perfectly prepared, with a pleasing taste, somewhat indescribable. Not sure the exact seasoning, but it worked well with the other ingredients of the salad over crispy tortilla. We had plenty to share with brown rice, black beans, grilled veggies and onions, freshly grated carrots, plus sour cream, guacamole, and cheese. I could only manage about a third of the tostada, and would have taken the rest home, but DH was more hungry than I and polished it off. Everything seemed extremely fresh, assembled after we ordered it. They do offer a choice of greens, including kale, mixed salad greens, or romaine. Pinto beans or black beans. Lots of options to customize your meal. Staff members were friendly during ordering, plus bringing the orders to whichever table you select. We sat outside the front entrance and watched a steady stream of cars come for curbside pickup. I did save room for a cookie for dessert, which was also generously sized, and filled with more than enough chocolate to satisfy. We will definitely be back! read more

Last time we came in, for lunch and they ran out of brown rice and fish, and the time before it was veggies. Not sure if it's common for this place to run out of so much stuff or if it's just this specific location. Also they need better cashiers, this one specific girl repeats the same questions over and over, gets a little annoying when I had to repeat my order three times for her to grasp it. Love this place and I eat here weekly sometimes more that once a week. The only thing I can say is that I'm sick of getting home to a soggy/wet taco. The tortilla is so soaked that it's slimy and you can't even pick it up to eat it and when you do, it falls apart. I enjoy Sharky's, especially when I'm trying to eat clean. I love their Power plates, which I choose just meat & vegetables. Their chips & DIY salsa bar are both really fresh. Their chips are often better than most local Mexican restaurants. Downside - I ordered a wet steak burrito. It came to over $16 just for a burrito. I find that to be extremely expensive for a food establishment that falls somewhere between fast food & a sit down Mexican restaurant. Tonight, I've ordered their Numex chicken Caesar salad, which isn't their healthiest option, but they do use organic foods, so I can still justify it, lol. It's my favorite menu item, but they do have other dishes that I really like, too. My husband always gets their "power plates," as I do when I'm in one of my "healthy" modes.
