I guess it is just impossible to keep such a place in line without some karens in the lobby to yell about the stuff I never would. You could order 5 of the same thing and each'd be different. I'd take some pictures on the kitchen scale but I'm likely not ordering again. It is insane, this location. They literally added the ability to count sauces, and limits, and you still can't get what you order. You can put in a number, in the order, they calculated a limit to, test it, just for these guys to chuck five in and say "that's probably right". What is the point? One thing, mouth of only on ingredient. Next one of same? None of that. Del taco is incredible, too. Truly. Only a fool would go to taco bell or whatever after eating at a real Del Taco. I lived by the one in Newbury Park, one in North Hollywood, and one in Burbank, plenty others. Apparently only Simi doesn't deserve a functioning one. read more

This is the worst Del taco I have ever been to. All my mom wanted was a beyond avocado taco and some fries. They talked me into a meal, fine, at least the other two tacos the meal comes with are beyond meat too. Not only did they completely forgot to include my mom's beyond avocado taco, but they didn't even put cheese on the two tacos they talked me into getting. They literally gave her two tacos with three chucks of beyond meat and a few cubes of tomato. Not to mention my friends went there last night and got fried, stale quesadillas, and charged for items they didn't order. I think this location has done its time. Worst Del Taco by a long mile. This location is always dirty, no matter what time of the day it is or how busy they are. Thankfully I've never used the bathroom here but I can only imagine the horrors that await. I went there and ordered 6 tacos, a drink and fries from the drive thru. The line was not long and the were a few diners inside. I got up to the window and my payment was taken. I was rudely handed the bag of food and the window was closed. I had to have him open the window in order for me to ask for hot sauce. I was in a hurry and went on my way, not wanting to deal with the pissy attitude. I was already home when I realized they forgot my drink and upon opening the bag, I realized they have me 2 sauce packets eventhough I ordered six tacos. The food was dry and the chili cheese fries were terrible while barely containing any chili or cheese. I'm sure the same people own the one across town but I'd much rather go to that one. This Del Taco has been here for a long time. I remember coming here with my friends as a teenager back in the 80's when Sycamore plaza was the pace to be on a Friday night..... Service at this facility is always friendly and efficient. The food is okay and the drive-thru moves quickly enough. We usually go for the chicken soft tacos. The fries are crispy and good and not greasy at all. The soft drinks are quite large. No need for even a medium unless you are pretty thirsty. Place is ok, plenty of parking. Never packed, I usually go through the drug thru . One worker she was super nice and helped me out and polite. I had another gentleman that was so/so attitude felt like his customer service lacked. The food was good and price is not to bad. read more

So I was initially planning on going to Panera Bread over on the other side of the parking lot, but there was a ridiculous line in there. Fearing I wouldn't get back to work in time for my meeting I hiked back in this direction and ended up here at Del Taco for lunch. In my car, amongst some other fast food coupon sheets, I happened to have a partially used sheet of Del Taco coupons. Perusing the remaining offers, I clumsily tore out a square worth a dollar off a combo meal. As I entered the place I took a moment to look around. My memory recalled this place. While the place is clean enough, it does seem like it has been here a great while. The bathrooms are on the outside of the building; and look like they require tokens to unlock the door. The place seems faded somehow. As I looked up at the menu board, I scanned for the combo meals, and the meal that consisted of two chicken tacos, fries & a drink for $5.10 caught my attention. Since I do enjoy Del Taco's chicken tacos, I placed an order with the nice girl behind the register. Nice girl asked if medium drink & fries were good, and I agreed. Turns out these combo things normally come with small sides, and I had unwittingly just agreed to an upsell. Since the total ended up being just five dollars, I was okay with the slight adjustment. Now I know. Nice girl asked me if I wanted my receipt, and I nodded and smiled and waited for her to print it out. I took it, and headed back to a table. Many tables were empty. There weren't that many people inside. I sat down, and resumed a game of Dig Dug I had started up while waiting at the Dentist Tuesday night. After dying a few times, my game ended, and shortly afterwards, my number was called. Perfect timing. I walked up to the counter, picked up my tray and looked at my meal. Wow. Medium is actually kinda big. I'm not complaining, just noting. As I filled up my cup with iced tea, I decided that for future reference, a small will be plenty (and 55 cents cheaper!). I walked back to my table, and set the tray down. I arranged the food for its pre-consumption photograph. After immortalizing the tacos on digital film, I dug in. The tacos were as good as I remembered. A Soft tortilla, grilled chicken, shredded cheddar cheese, lettuce & their savory secret sauce blended to make a tasty chicken taco. I demolished both in little time. I then dumped the fries on the taco-wrapping paper. One by one I snapped them up. They were good. Quite even possibly superior to some other fries I've had at fast food places. Not as greasy as most. Enjoyable. I wondered how long it had been since I'd enjoyed Del Taco fries. The Iced tea was also good. Freshly brewed and completely devoid of the 'Simi Funk'. I practiced my origami skills, and I folded the taco-wrapping papers into neat little boulders. I placed my Japanese paper-art into the empty fry cup and tossed the whole thing in the trash on my way out. While this location is antiquated, Del Taco still makes the same quality meals that I enjoy at the newer, 'Fancy Del Taco'. Good job, I'll more than likely enjoy this Del Taco again. read more

Food quality is REALLY spotty. Some days it's perfect. Today is not such a day. The meat in the Carne Asada was over cooked and hard -- difficult to chew. Open late and always great. I've satisfied many a 2am taco jones at this drive through while pulling an all-nighter for work. Y'all need to slow down making your food over there, no one was in line and I ordered a burrito and two seconds later I got my burrito. When I took it out it was a pile of a mess. Left my card here on accident. 24 hours later see unauthorized chargers on my card and i was able to pick up the card. When i asked who had access to the card no one could help me and they said they just leave left cards in a cup out in the open. Went back later to talk to a manager who had just left and the employees couldn't help me. They gave me the same response. The service was absolutely horrible! After paying they gave us our food and no drinks so we had to ask for our drinks. And then they forgot 3 different items that we ordered so we waited for that and as we got home to eat all our food was ice cold and the fries were hard. Store manager Oscar is great. Very attentive to customers and works hard. I see him there every time I'm there in the mornings and he's prepping food with his crew. I tried the Shredded Beef Soft Taco today & was very disappointed. It is Extremely Overpriced! There's barely a bite of meat inside, but plenty of shredded lettuce. Not a value at all. There are No towels in the restroom, just an air dryer. Hands are contaminated on leaving by touching the door handle & again when entering the restaurant. There should at least be hand sanitizer inside the restaurant so that one could eat with clean hands. read more

Don't come here if your expecting any customer service. I stood waiting for my food and watched/listened to the manager criticize every teen that she announced order and her tyrant didn't end there. When it was my turn to get my order I politely asked for a water cup which she rudely denied for the possibility that I could fill it with so, I did not want soda and my order was to go. Wtf. I continued to demand a water cut which she then gave it to me once security was there to escort me out the door. I just moved to this beautiful town from Oklahoma and I had never eaten at Del Taco before or even seen one... A friend of mine here loves it so they couldn't wait to take me... I can see why people would like it. The prices are very low. The food is served very quickly and for the most part the people are helpful and friendly. The only downside is it has a VERY limited Menu. I got bored with the menu after the second time I went there. Also, a lot of the really super cheap menu items are disgusting! But, the taco's are cheap and good either soft or crispy : ) read more
