I ordered a large BBQ plate from here via UberEats. It was my first time ordering from this restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised by the meats, but disappointed in the sides. I got the 4 meat plate, which came with 3 sides. I've taken into account the fact it was delivered and not piping hot, so here are my reviews: Sliced brisket - really good! Only two slices...could have definitely done with more 8.5/10 Turkey - just your basic BBQ turkey breast. Tasty. 8/10 Ribs - not very much meat on the ribs. Kind of tough. Decent, though. 7.7/10 **Burnt Ends** - this is where they shined! The burnt ends were AMAZING! They weren't just hunks of meat from the end of a brisket. They were delightfully fatty and melted in my mouth. SO GOOD! 10/10 Now on to the sides. Man, I had high hopes but they were just lackluster. Mac-n-cheese - a hint of spice but way, way over-salted. Almost too salty to eat. And I like salt! 5/10 Elotes - just...no. It was so dry. The corn had a funky texture. I love elotes but I took one bite of these and couldn't eat another bite. 0/10 Potato salad - just meh. It actually tasted slightly better the next day. 6/10 BBQ sauce - I'm a sauce girl. I know what people say about good BBQ not needing a sauce, but I can't help it. There's was REALLY good. It was perfectly spicy and sweet at the same time. A little thicker than I normally go for, but I loved it. And they gave me a lot! 9/10 It was rather pricy at around $50 but I suppose that's pretty comparable to other "craft" BBQ places. I just wish the sides had been better at that price. Even then, I had a couple of days of leftovers and I'll probably order again. read more

I wanted the brisket nachos. ($8) but when I went to order I was told they were out of birks the, but they had other meat options for the same price. I chose to do birria, which was phenomenal. The nachos included tortillas chips, queso, pico, and fresh jalapeño, of course with your meat as well. Also they have really unique sodas. I got the cheer lime and it was refreshing! Also, there's a brewery connected and while you eat you can see the brewery through the glass. A really cool eatery! read more

Booo! Overpriced for okay BBQ. We ordered a pound of brisket, a pound of pork ribs, Mac-n-cheese, street corn elote, cornbread and Spicy Paloma drink. It's not that it was bad; it wasn't worth the price. The whole time I kept thinking, "Springcreek is better than this. Or even David's BBQ." Their ribs and the cornbread were dry. The elote was not good. I can't even tell you why but it was bad. The Mac-n-cheese was better than the rest but even it wasn't good. I've had better. Even my cooking is better than what we ate. A recent visit was disappointing. A bit after 2 pm and it appeared we got there at closing time. I guess we interrupted nap time. A Texas Twinkie was perfection. A nice size chile wrapped in crisp thick bacon. But $7 for a single is crazy expensive. Loaded cornbread should be a killer dish. The cornbread is excellent, and the slaw a nice addition. The issue is the chili. It suck and needs a serious rework. It has no spice, is lacking in cumin and chile, and needs a total rework. And whether it's brisket scraps they are using or the brisket chili, the majority of meat in this was unappetizing hunks of fat. Just terrible. A sweet pig sandwich should have been great. The pulled pork was the usual overcooked Texas style rather than the perfection one gets in Memphis, but it was fine. The real issue was the brioche bun. Yuck. It was as sweet as a donut but fry and crumbly; it fell apart. This would be better on a Mrs Bairds hamburger bun. It will be a while before we return. read more

I asked for sliced brisket with no fat. Lots of fat. The menu says classic elote but basically corn in a cup. there was no tajin in it and had a small slice of lime that was partially dried out. Not sure how you can mess up potato salad but it was. Not good at all. Ordered Texas Toast that you have to pay for. It wasn't toasted and it's just regular white bread, not Texas toast. the only reason I gave it a 2 is because my husband liked the ribs. I had also asked for pickles and onions which I didn't get. I was the only one ordering food so it wasn't busy at all. While waiting for my order someone else did walk up to order. All he got were nachos, hope he liked them and had better luck with his food. read more

Great BBQ in the Mansfield area. Service was quick and food was yummy and reasonably priced. I don't have much to comment on the service because you order at a counter and they bring to your table. Restaurant was clean and decor was on theme. Had the brisket and corn because I eat gluten free and both were so yummy! Macaroni and cheese looked delciously creamy. Alcohol is reasonably priced though I did not drink. The only thing I was personally not a big fan of is that they do not have normal coca cola products in their soda fountain, but craft soda intead. read more

Honestly confused on why this place even has waitstaff. It's set up as an order at the counter and the take care of yourself type place. I say this because the service was god awful for so many reasons. What makes it even worse is that the manager was sitting at a table in front of us working on their laptop - either oblivious or just didn't care about what was going on in their restaurant. Food was subpar for the price. Only saving grace was the beer was decent, despite it being lukewarm from sitting out so long before it was brought to us. It was a very nice looking presentation. However , the chopped beef on the tostada and the sandwich was a bit (overly) greasy. The pulled pork taco was right on point. The macaroni and cheese had jalapeno in it which was a surprise to my girlfriend which doesn't like jalapenos. (We didn't see it marked). I did not like the process of having to pay for the alcohol separately from the food and soda. ( I'm in a restraunt and would prefer 1 payment on my credit card and NOT 2 ). This place is awesome!! Everything was really tasty with a good smoky flavor but not over powering. The pork belly burnt ends are PHENOMENAL!!! They are a little expensive but that is probably due to inflation, because everything is expensive. They do give a good size proportion for the price. Everything that I had was full of flavor. I came here on a Saturday with my family, parents and my brother from California looking to show him how Texas BBQ has progressed since he was here last...Ambiance was very chaotic as there was live Tejano-ish music that was amped so loud I could barely talk to staff, make a decision or talk to my party. We had to bus our own table in order to sit down. Service was clearly irritated we sat down. I guess there were no trays available to staff as everything was brought out one by one. There is an air of self-service here that was not apparent to first time guests. Still unclear. Would have maybe had a better experience by going through the line and self-served. We got our food at a reasonable time, but the temperatures were all over the place. Sausage was hot brisket was warm, pork belly was cold, bbq sauce was ice cold. Buns were dry, elotes were watery... All of the sides needed salt, pretty bland I'd say. Delicious. I didn't get any sides- just two different meats and a Texas Twinkie. Burnt ends and Brisket were really good and the Texas Twinkie was nuts. A jalapeño wrapped in bacon and stuffed with brisket and cheese. I mean, you can't really mess that up. It was really really good. Just expect to pay a lot for a medium amount of food. We din't get sides and drank water and it was $54 for two people. See pic for what roughly $25 will get you here. But it's BBQ so that's not abnormal. If you want a lot of 'good' food you can go to Dickies on cooper and load up $20. Or get a little bit of 'great' food for $25. There's a time and place for both! read more

Love the location! It's based right in downtown Mansfield with a very nice setting. The indoor seating is a little cramped but a lot of open space outside! We had the chopped brisket, jalapeño sausage, corn, Birria/carnitas tacos and Mac and cheese! The chopped brisket was very delicious and so was the Mac and cheese. The corn was a little dry and not very flavorful (for me). Wish we could've tried their ribs and burnt ends but unfortunately they were sold out of a lot of the meats on their menu, which is not necessarily a bad thing because it's a new place and from what I had, it was good! The corn was soggy and sitting in a water boat so any flavor was just on the top. The BBQ sauce has a good flavor and you'll need a lot of it because the meat isn't as flavorful with out it. We are inside and there were flys so that is always a turn off. It was ok but pricey for a meal that didn't stand out. The best dish we had were the brisket nachos and they were room temp as well. Went here after I got off work, you actually park in the back and go up the stairs. The patio looks great, definitely the best I've seen in Mansfield, just a real cool set up. You order at the cashier, we got birria taco, chips and queso, mac and cheese, pulled pork and jalapeno sausage. I got a sweet tea and the food was ready really fast and looked really good. I ate the birria taco first, it was really good, it was $6 though. I ate the chips and queso next, the chips tasted good and had a different flavor.
