He said it was sent, but it wasn't until I called 3 times. My oral surgery was rescheduled 3 times, including one cancellation the day before. Poor communication, lots of confusion, and no accountability. I've also been waiting over a month for my and my husband's x-rays to be emailed -- still nothing. I was told 7-10 business days. Even though they accept Medi-Cal, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. There are better-run offices out there. To the doctor: your front desk is likely the reason patients don't return. Maybe this review will get my x-rays sent, too.

Second, what he states below is completely different from both what his staff said over the phone and not at all what he shared with me when we spoke. He was adamant that they needed to charge all fees up front. He reiterated numerous times that he wasn't a benefits expert but he has advisors and staff he trusts to understand it better. So when I shared that I am well versed on insurance benefits, both as a patient and a plan administer for my own company, I thought he might actually take interest in learning about how unethical it is to charge a patient twice. Instead he repeatedly spoke over me and told me that - while he himself wasn't knowledgeable on insurance, clearly I must still be wrong. Now he's writing that they only do this in some cases (no insurance or out of network), but all the sudden he's now saying that they only charge an estimate when the are in network - first time that's being said. This person continually spoke over me and let his ego drive the conversation. I hung up when it was clear that he had zero respect for me or the time I offered after he asked to speak to me. In no world is this someone I would trust with the health of my jaw or ever being under anesthesia. To purposely call someone to deride them when you have no real knowledge is its own ethical issue. Get your business in order, sir. First, it took three calls and two voicemails to even hear from anyone. Second, the billing practices are completely unethical - they bill you up front for all services AND then bill your insurance. They claim they'll reimburse you whatever insurance decides to pay. It's beyond unethical. Finally, their front office is wildly unhelpful. Not only do they not return calls, but they can't answer basic questions like how much a consultation costs. Between ethics violations, insurance fraud and incompetent administration, I'm not sure how they got so many 5 star reviews without paying for them (insanely common for dentists and plumbers on Yelp).

This office is above our dry cleaners and my husband stopped in because we needed a new dentist to have a first cleaning after a few years. We were hoping to create a great long term relationship as anyone would with their dentist. We made an appointment and were told the cleaning would be $150 each which includes an exam and ex-rays. Sounded fair enough. We were emailed 7 pages each of intake forms to fill out and bring with us the day of the cleaning. The invasiveness of the forms was as if we were planning to have open heart surgery instead of a dental cleaning. As the date of our cleaning approached we began to get dozens of daily reminder texts and emails not to miss our appointments. One reminder is plenty as we are adults and this is not our first rodeo. They spammed us so much with texts and emails that it felt as if we were being taken hostage. It personally freaked me out so badly that I cancelled my cleaning the day of. After I unsubscribed from the texts and emails, I received several more. It was then that my husband called them to complain about their marketing tactics. He initially spoke to a lovely man named Broderick who was apologetic and empathetic. He took my husband's comments seriously. After he hung up...we both received more texts and email reminders not to miss our appointment that was to be in one hour. That was so over the top that my husband called them back and spoke with Gabriella C (office manager maybe?). We told her that it felt as if they were taking us hostage with all of the dozens of reminders and her response to us was the opposite of Broderick in that she made excuses and told us that this is our opinion and she will cancel our appointments for now and if we change our minds and want to come back to call the office to reschedule. Gabriella "actually" thought we would want to reschedule after we told her we would never patronize a business with such unusually over the top practices. She clearly didn't listen and gas-lighted us as if we would be doing business with them anyway. As I was reading the reviews on this page, I noted that the Dentists admit to a reviewer that they do not actually do a cleaning the first visit. That they only take ex-rays and counsel patients about invisaline braces etc...Not once were we ever told that the hour each that my husband and I were carving out in our day for each of our cleanings would NOT in fact include a cleaning. I would never ever go to a Dentist who behaves this way. RED FLAGS: 7 page very invasive intake forms for a dental cleaning, literally dozens and dozens of reminder emails and texts at all hours of the day and night, being gas-lighted when we/the potential consumer expressed concerns about their practices. We were looking forward to a great experience with this new Dentist and we are understandably EXTREMELY disappointed. What a waste of time, and what an awful way to be dealt with. read more

I urgently needed a root canal specialist due to excruciating pain. They assured me they had a specialist available either that day or the next. I was quoted $95 for examination, the dentist and I discussed the treatment plan and costs, and I was ready to proceed with the treatment that I needed. However, to my disbelief, they suddenly informed me that the specialist wasn't actually available This left me feeling utterly disappointed feeling like I had wasted both my time and money. Feeling lost and seeking guidance, I didn't pay the consultation fee immediately. This seemed to greatly irritate the receptionists, two women, who not only failed to address my concerns but also displayed a dismissive attitude. The only reason I give two stars is because of the nice people working at front desk. My appointment was scheduled for 3 to do my cleaning. As new patient I went in early (2:45) and did all paperwork (4 pages) before 3pm. Had to wait till 3:34 when I was called in. No cleaning was done so it was rescheduled for another day with another doctor and this appointment was canceled on my seconds before they left the office the same day of my initial appointment. I think it's unprofessional and unethical. One doctor too many patients! I also asked to have the X-rays to be emailed to me which to the date I have not received. I just has my second visit with Dr. Delakyan at Toluca Dental Studio. He is so gentle with the drill that I actually fell asleep getting my cavity filled. He also did some bonding and other cosmetic work on me. I've had similar work done by others dentists in the past but I've never been nearly as pleased. It's very difficult finding a dentist that not only does good work but one that you could trust. I have found that some dentists, like auto mechanics, want to charge you for work you do not need. Haven't been to the dentist in 10+ years. Finally bit the bullet and headed in to Toluca Dental to asses the damage. 3 cavities, deep cleaning and a root canal. Dr. Hart and his crew were amazing and able to fix it all in a couple weeks. Completely painless and I feel great. Dr. Hart walks you through it all. I was referred to Dr. Delakyan by a very close friend of mine for any of my dental needs. My fiancé needed a new bite gaurd and we took our friends recommendation and we are happy we did. My experience with the Dental Hygienists is always fantastic and their engagement and follow up with the Dentist is always thorough. I have mainly been treated by Dr. Tina Yazdi, with support from Dr. Shahrooz. I recently needed an oral surgeon and the care provided by Dr. Saadat and his team was excellent, including the follow-up care from the rest of the staff.

From the moment you walk in, the experience feels completely different from a typical dental office. The office is beautiful, modern, and comfortable, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Ruzanna in the front office makes you feel like family--not just the next appointment on the schedule. Dr. Luiza is fantastic! She's professional, knowledgeable, gentle, and takes the time to explain everything without making you feel rushed or pressured. You can tell she genuinely cares about her patients and wants you to feel comfortable and confident about your treatment plan. And the little touches really make a difference in making you feel comfortable. They even have TV's mounted on the ceiling so you can watch your favorite show while getting your treatment. They go above and beyond to make what is normally not the most exciting experience actually enjoyable. 5 stars all around

The trouble of finding a dentist and establishing care elsewhere was something I kept putting off. Not just me, my wife as well, who is normally really on top of it. She actually found and made the appointments. First visit is a little longer, all the X-rays and imaging need to get done. They have all the new tech to make the process faster. Went on with my cleaning and was out within 2 hours. Dental staff were all very pleasant. All future appointments already scheduled. Back on track with dental care :) NOTE: If you park in the neighborhood off Magnolia, be sure to check the posted signs. Good thing I checked because it's not just the normal one day a week for street cleaning. By the Optum building where they are located, from 8am-5pm Mon-Fri parking is by permit. Be on the lookout for those signs and avoid parking there.

Dr. Sandra is my dentist, and she knows what she's doing!!! She explained the entire procedure and made sure I understood the process for creating the new teeth in the area of the previous bridge. I'm an Advanced Senior Citizen (an old lady), and everyone helped me and made sure I was comfortable, warm, etc. I now have a dentist and dental office I trust. The offices are relatively new (2024, I think), and they are STATE OF THE ART with great dental and testing equipment, along with great staff and a terrific office manager.
