He's friendly, professional, and very reasonably priced. In addition to plumbing emergencies, he does boiler replacements, emergency services, installs everything from old-school boilers to the latest heat pumps, from radiant flooring to steam radiators. First visit (sewer line clearing): The job itself was done well, but the plumbers used my personal buckets to drain the sewer without asking or cleaning them afterward. Not a huge deal, but not very professional. Second visit (hot water issue): We have a fairly complex plumbing and heating system, and after this visit, hot water wasn't restored to half my house. I had to guess which valve to turn back on myself, and I was never sure it was the right solution. I called several times over months to have someone come back and check, was told it would be scheduled, but no one ever returned. Third visit (leaking pipe replacement): The pipe was replaced, but I was billed for 2.5 hours of labor even though I have video evidence showing they were only at my house for roughly an hour, including a trip to the store for basic parts they should have had on hand. - The water was not turned back on properly--my wife discovered this after they left and didn't know how to fix it. - They hit the waste plumbing under my sink, breaking the tailpiece, which caused a major flood the next time we used the sink. I had to fix this myself. - They also used my ladder in the basement and left a puddle of solder on it. Overall, I'm very disappointed with the lack of care and follow-through. Tyler of Pipe Dreams Sewer & Drain is *fantastic*. I've lived in my townhouse condo for nearly 12…read moreyears, and the kitchen sink has never drained marvelously well. I had understood that it was due at least in part to a shallow grade of the outlet pipe...whatever. A couple of years ago, it had gradually become clogged enough that it was draining painfully slowly. I had RotoRooter out to clear it, and when the work was done, it was much better. It drained just fine, like before. Over two or three months this past fall, it gradually slowed down again, and I waited because I remembered how expensive it was the last time. Finally, there was no more waiting. It had become gross, it was so *disgustingly* slow, and I was even wondering whether it would require major work of some kind. I am so happy to have seen the glowing reviews here of Pipe Dreams. I called them & they were able to get me in in two days. Tyler was here for about an hour, and the tools he used were very different from the long, manual snake that RotoRooter had used. It/they were motorized things that had a reach far down the pipes. Tyler explained that he was staying mindful of the neighbors' pipes and not disturbing those. When he was done, he filled the sink with water & then released it. Since we bought this place all those years ago, I had NEVER seen it empty so fast, and I didn't even think it was possible. The water began to spin and make the most beautiful whirlpool and then was gone. The whole time he was here, Tyler could not have been more considerate, clear in his communication, and helpful. He also gave me tips on how to keep the drain clear. I kept meaning to write this review soon after he was here, but it's now been three months - oops! Here is the bright side to the delay: I can report that the sink has been draining wonderfully ever since, and it makes me soooo happy every time I use the sink. Call Pipe Dreams! I really can't comment on the quality of their work as it won't show up until later, but he did spend a lot of time trying to sell me additional services, advising me that it would be $149 additional if I didn't sign up for it right away. He reminded me of a used car salesman. I ran into a friend who was familiar with them and he had a similar opinion. I would not hire them again. PS I could have done the work they did in about an hour if I was 20 years younger. It cost almost $400.

I contacted them using their webform, and unfortunately,.. before reading other reviews regarding this fee that they charge and ended up passing on using them when they contacted me. There's many other excellent electricians in the area that won't charge you a penny to come by and with no obligations to use them. That's the way we ended up going and we'll still have the excellence of service at a very competitive price. I'm sure Lloyd's is a great company and this review is not suggesting otherwise, but, do you want to spend $149 to end up not even using them? Lloyd's might consider a new policy for 2025, ..."your $149 estimate fee will be credited to your work", in-other-words, if you went with using Lloyd's, they would credit you that $149 back. Sadly, that is not their policy. Yet.
