He quickly diagnosed the situation and as there was a way to use water without a further leak, he picked up the replacement part Monday and came right over to fix it. He's friendly, professional, and very reasonably priced. In addition to plumbing emergencies, he does boiler replacements, emergency services, installs everything from old-school boilers to the latest heat pumps, from radiant flooring to steam radiators. They were very patient with our first heating system, which turned out to be a crappy boiler (not their install) that they kept going for years. They helped us select a new high-efficiency boiler a few years ago that has been running smoothly since installation. There is great comfort for me to know I can call them at any time I have an issue and they're there. Techs seem well trained, friendly, professional, clean and care about what they're doing. Office staff are friendly and help me accomplish what I called for. We've been doing budget plans for all our fuels for years - great comfort in having a regular payment instead of huge swings in the winter/summer. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that they don't automatically schedule my boiler cleanings like they did years ago. Actually, I guess that really should be my task anyway.....changing my 4 to a 5 now :) If you want to set things up to happen without much further attention, they make that easy. He has a great understanding of the Efficiency VT rebates and helped me every step of the way. We were only going to do the heat pumps but Hunter saw our leaky water heater and let me know about a rebate for the water heater which made it a no brainer. Scheduling was easy, they arrived on time and kept me updated throughout. They even solved an ongoing issue with the water pressure. These guys go above and beyond. I'm sure Lloyd's is a great company and this review is not suggesting otherwise, but, do you want to spend $149 to end up not even using them? Lloyd's might consider a new policy for 2025, ..."your $149 estimate fee will be credited to your work", in-other-words, if you went with using Lloyd's, they would credit you that $149 back. First visit (sewer line clearing): The job itself was done well, but the plumbers used my personal buckets to drain the sewer without asking or cleaning them afterward. Not a huge deal, but not very professional. Second visit (hot water issue): We have a fairly complex plumbing and heating system, and after this visit, hot water wasn't restored to half my house. I had to guess which valve to turn back on myself, and I was never sure it was the right solution. I called several times over months to have someone come back and check, was told it would be scheduled, but no one ever returned. Third visit (leaking pipe replacement): The pipe was replaced, but I was billed for 2.5 hours of labor even though I have video evidence showing they were only at my house for roughly an hour, including a trip to the store for basic parts they should have had on hand. - The water was not turned back on properly--my wife discovered this after they left and didn't know how to fix it. - They hit the waste plumbing under my sink, breaking the tailpiece, which caused a major flood the next time we used the sink. I had to fix this myself. - They also used my ladder in the basement and left a puddle of solder on it. Overall, I'm very disappointed with the lack of care and follow-through. Based on my experience, I can't recommend their services.
