This was my first time ever visiting Atlanta, and Delbar in Buckhead set the bar impossibly high. We kicked things off with bubbles. The spread we ordered was incredible. The heirloom tomato salad with cucumbers, pickled onions, and crispy flatbread was so good. The grilled kebabs were perfectly charred and served with roasted vegetables and pickled onions. The slow cooked chicken was rich, caramelized, and deeply flavorful. But the star of the table was the tahdig, a golden, crispy saffron rice dome topped with fried onions and raisins that was almost too pretty to eat. Almost. Arrived late on a Friday night with no reservation at the Buckhead location. There is a parking deck nearby that they validate (information on their website). We did not have to wait 10 minutes for a table to open up in their covered outdoor area. The ambiance is very turnkey with low lighting, upscale but not formal. Also lamps at the table to read the menu. The service was excellent. Kind and boxed your leftovers for you. Made sure waters were full. Very informed about the menu and was able to provide recommendations. Favorite part of the meal. The food was prepared to perfection. They start you with some naan bread and some toppings for it (complimentary). For an appetizer we ordered the kashk bademjoon. It was tasty, but I found it hard to taste the individual flavors. For our mains we ordered the honey harissa chicken (my favorite part of the meal) and the chinjeh which is a beef dish. Both cooked to perfection. This is definitely a place for people who like spices! Additionally we got the sabzi polo (rice) which was very rich in flavor. The meet dishes came with some pickled veggies which was my highlight of the meal. This is a very unique place with high quality dishes. I had a great dining experience at this upscale Middle Eastern restaurant in Atlanta! Getting a reservation here can get competitive, so my friend made sure to make a reservation almost 2 weeks in advance for a group of 3. For food, we shared the following dishes:  - Pita Bread with Feta Cheese and Veggie Complimentary Appetizer: A balanced and good quality appetizer! The pita bread was warm, fluffy and nutty. My group especially liked the feta cheese so much that we had to order another round of it. - Hummus with shroom, shishito, and egg: This hummus was creamy and good. I also liked the toppings we added which added more flavor, richness, and overall depth. This also came with warm pita for dipping. - Hormuz Island Cocktail: Sweet and refreshing. It paired well with the food and I like the fruitiness of the lychee flavor. - Omani Shrimp: Absolutely delicious. Jumbo, juicy and flavorful shrimp that was even more flavorful with the side dip.  - Sabzi Polo: A renowned dish that I was a bit disappointed with. The rice was not very flavorful on its own and I did not enjoy the crispy top which was on the harder rather than crispy side. It was a good grain to go along with the meats though and the portion was big. - Lamb Kabob: This was good, but tasted and felt more like steak rather than lamb even though we asked for it rare. I wish this was more tender. Not the biggest fan of the tough pita it was served on. - Seabass: Insanely good, 100/10. The fish was buttery, flaky, flavorful and just melts in your mouth.Will be thinking about this fish for a while. Same sentiments like the lamb towards the pita it was served on though. - Spring Pea Salad: Good, but not mind-blowing in my opinion. It was a unique salad dish that my table generally enjoyed. It was a fresh element that went well with the rich dishes. The service here was great and our server gave us good recommendations upon request. I also appreciate the effort she put into making sure my walnut allergy was taken care of. The ambiance of this place is gorgeous. A great spot for dates, group celebrations, and intimate gatherings. It is a bit dark inside though, but I generally enjoyed the mood lighting. Overall, a great restaurant that I would come back to again! They start you off with a complimentary sabzi plate that comes with feta, salt-water soaked walnuts, radishes, tarragon, watercress, & mint that serve as an opener and a palate cleanser in between dishes. I would recommend you order the hummus & top it off with savory lamb. As for the main course I was partial to hanger steak and the shishlik [Lamb Chops]. It's all à la cart style, so you must get the adas polo rice! Delicious is an understatement! Their drink menus doesn't fall short and since I'm partial to cucumber I recommend the Sharbat e Sekanjaben , you will not be disappointed! Of course I had to get dessert! I can't decide which one is better the baklava or the pistachio lava cake! Get both, life is too short. Always a great time at Delbar. Love the ambiance inside the Buckhead location - its dark, lively, and upscale. I've tried a variety of the appetizers- the hummus and kashk bademjoon being my favorite. The kabobs are all great as well and my favorite thing when going to get Persian food is the tahdig. The cilantro and parsley tahdig here is so flavorful and fresh I have to order it every time. The service was also amazing - they were very busy this night and were taking a long time to bring us our second round of drinks, so we told them to hold off on it since we had already finished our food. We were seated outside on a cold winter night and felt perfectly fine! the heaters outside are amazing in this weather and the temperature was perfect. We ordered: Lamb Dill Labneh Wings Fries And I had the Shabar Khiyar mocktail. The entire table was delicious especially the lab neh. The wings were crispy and the sauce they came with had a hint of spice which elevated the wings. We asked for the fries well done and they came out just like we wanted. Delicious! Very filling and perfect for a larger group! To start they brought out flatbread, some radishes, cheese, and herbs... honestly not sure what you're supposed to do with them. Do you eat them together and make a wrap type-of-thing? Or do you wait for your other food and pair these with the other dips? I'm not sure. We waited for our other appetizers to arrive and paired this initial appetizer with the following dishes. To start we tried the falafel plate, salmon kibbeh, and the eggplant dip. I love all of the onions in the eggplant dip. I also really liked the pickled beets which came on the falafel plate- a wonderful added acidity to all the rich, fried, and rather heavy dishes. I don't usually order falafel, so I am likely not the best judge, but I thought these were good. I liked the salmon kibbeh more though. For mains we ordered the sabzi pollo, short rib, honey harissa chicken, cauliflower, and sea bass. I wasn't expected to like the cauliflower, but this may have been my favorite dish! I loved the slight char, and the tahini dressing was delicious. I wish there were more pickled onions but this was very good. Pleasantly surprised! I am also not a huge fan of rice in general, but I enjoyed the sabzi pollo- I like how the top layer is nice and crisp and like the presentation of it. As for the meats, I think my favorite was the short rib- so soft and melt-in-your-mouth. Delicious though definitely on the salty side. They serve it with a rice crisp though I preferred the pairing it with the sabzi pollo and the eggplant dip or even the cauliflower. Sea bass was good- though I don't think I have had 'bad' sea bass. Honey harissa chicken was better. I would definitely reorder the chicken and short rib. Finally, after a 30 minute wait, we received our dessert- the cardamom gelato. I don't love cardamom buns but I was pleasantly surprised by this gelato. A very unique flavor and a nice way to end the meal. Light and a great palette cleanser. The food may be deserving of 5 stars, but I have to dock one, though I was considering two... because of the poor service. I could tell our waitress was trying and was friendly and smiley, but our water glasses were almost always empty and our dinner took 3 hours (I think she forgot to place our dessert order). Maybe she was having an off-day or the restaurant was understaffed... They recommend you order a handful of dishes and split family-style which we did. Everything was very tasty and quite filling. Quite large portions- especially the rice and cauliflower. Don't forget to snag a box of matches before you leave! Honestly part of the reason they kept the fourth star- such a cute box- I love the shape- very unique how long it is. I also love the pink matches inside! Such a whimsical touch. Overall, I would highly recommend Delbar's food! I love the Inman Park location so I said why not let's try the Buckhead one. Easy reservation to make online, I'd recommend making one. It gets really busy. Cute bar area right when you walk in but does make the in/out of it all a little crammed. Our waitress was super kind and made great recommendations. We did sit and chat a lot with our friends and I think that slowed things down for the staff, and I felt a little bit of their frustrations with this but I definitely understand. The adas polo is my favorite rice, and the filet was cooked beautifully. Everything was right on par. The vibe is a bit different than Inman park, but not in a bad way. Just a little more space. First the decor in this place is very beautiful. It gives a very sophisticated but vibes feel and is perfect for any occasion. We came to the Buckhead location for my mom's birthday and our waiter who was the absolute best made great suggestions. The menu is designed to be shared so we opted for 3 protein, a side of roasted veggies and saffron basmati rice that was more than enough for 4 people. Delbar is one of those restaurants that consistently delivers. With three spots across Atlanta--Inman Park, Alpharetta, and the newest in Buckhead--it's easily one of my favorites. My friends and I visited the Buckhead location last night and, as usual, it did not disappoint. This has been one of those restaurants on our list since we moved to ATL and while we didn't come for dinner, my husband and I managed to visit on a Friday for lunch. Although we me reservations we arrived early and were accommodated. Since this was our first time, our server walked us through the menu and we decided on the chicken wing appetizer, I ordered the salmon kabob and we shared the sabzi polo rice dish. Everything we ate was really flavorful. I definitely think the chicken wings and rice dish was my favorite over the salmon. Plus the portion of the sabzi dish can easily feed at least 4 people. The crunchy bits are *chef's kiss* The size of the restaurant is a lot bigger than you think from the outside, but I would definitely recommend a spot outside if the weather is nice. For those who wonder about parking situations like I do, the restaurant validates your parking from the nearby parking garage. There is parking right behind the restaurant (turn at the light right by RW and take that right to parking deck. I love Delbar in Inman Park, so I was excited to check out their new Buckhead location. Parking was easy, with two garages nearby that offer validated parking for up to two hours. Inside, the space felt warm. It was decorated with wooden tables, soft neutral tones, hanging lights, and plenty of greenery that made the whole place feel lively. Our waitress was also incredibly friendly, patient, and attentive without ever hovering. We started with a spread of appetizers: Falafel Plate ($16), Dill Labneh ($13), and Kashk Bademjoon ($15). I also ordered an Iced Coconut Chai Tea ($10), and for my main entree, the Chicken Kofta ($20). The Iced Coconut Chai Tea was delicious. It was lightly sweet and refreshing. I do wish the coconut flavor came through a bit more, but overall it was still a satisfying drink. If you're an eggplant fan, the Kashk Bademjoon is a must. The mashed eggplant was smooth and rich, blended with cream of whey and mint, then topped with crispy fried onions that added just the right texture and aroma. The Dill Labneh was equally impressive with a mix of yogurt, dill, garlic, and citrus. The bits of walnut folded into the dip added a nice crunch. The Falafel Plate was also one of my favorites. It came with five falafels, a side salad, and pickled beets. These falafels were honestly the best I've had in Atlanta. The outside was crisp, and the inside was packed with fresh herbs and a little kick of heat. They were flavorful all the way through, not dry or bland. The pickled beets added a nice tang that cut through the falafel's richness. I couldn't believe I never tried the Chicken Kofta at Delbar before. The minced chicken breast was tender, juicy, and deeply seasoned. It practically melted in my mouth, and I barely had to chew. The plate also came with roasted tomato, pepper, and sumac onions, which added smoky, tangy layers to the dish. Overall, I really enjoyed Delbar, and I'm thrilled there's finally a location closer to me. The prices are about the same as Inman Park. Even though it's a bit of a splurge, the quality makes it a worthwhile occasional treat for me. read more

Service was attentive and friendly and gave an explanation of the menu since it was our first time visiting. Lightning was pretty sparse which made for a swanky ambiance inside. We were given hot moist towelettes to use before we dug into the bread which was a nice touch. We started with the khash bademjoon (fried eggplant dip) which was a gigantic portion and could definitely feed 4 people. It was a bit on the oily side and had too many onions compared to eggplant dip so we had to spoon the dip onto the bread. The bread came out warm and had a great texture. I also really liked the Australian sheep's milk feta that was in the complimentary herb plate. The lamb's neck was the star of the entree round, it was extremely tender and the gravy was delicious and rich. The koobideh had a more pronounced lamb flavor than the lamb neck but was slightly juicy and we only finished 1 kebab out of the 2 on the plate. I wish we were given a full roasted tomato instead of half though since it was good. The rice we got had a nice crisped top, better than some I've had at other restaurants, and was large enough to feed 3-4 people as well. I really liked the large spoon that came with the rice. After the entree course the server boxed up our leftovers and wiped up the crumbs off the table which was much appreciated! The baklava was quite large and wasn't too sweet! Definitely 2-3 times bigger of a portion than at other restaurants in the area which is a good deal. We waited 10 or 15 minutes before being greeted by our server, who apologized for the delay and said he would be right with us. He was clearly in the weeds and frazzled. He did not return for at least another 10 minutes, at which time he again apologized for the delay and took our order, making no recommendations and not discussing the menu at all. We had to ask him for bread and veggies because that still had not been provided. Nor had our water glasses been filled. Thankfully, we got a glass of wine and a cocktail at the bar so we had something to drink while we sat for about 30 minutes and waited to place our order, get bread, etc. We shared the Adana bite appetizer, which was well seasoned and had a great spice level. It was a very generous portion, and we asked our server to box up half of it for us to take home. Unfortunately, our server never brought us the rest of the Adana, despite my asking him for it a second time when we later asked him to box up the rice. He either should have brought our boxed up leftovers or, at a minimum, apologized and explained that the adana was thrown out by accident. Instead, he just ignored it, and pretended that it was in the bag with the rice, when it was not. Sliced beet carpaccio was absolutely delicious, and the presentation was beautiful. The Seabass was well seasoned and perfectly cooked. The herb infused rice (our favorite from a prior visit!) was sumptuous and went perfectly with the seabass. Pistachio lava cake had interesting flavors and was really well prepared. We were never offered a second glass of wine or cocktail. The carafe of water on our table ran out and was never replaced, despite our Server saying he would get us more water. I would describe our server as an "order taker" and nothing more. He never engaged with us-- not even general pleasantries-- and was generally absent throughout the evening. This stood in stark contrast to our prior experience at Delbar, when our server was absolutely amazing (gave us descriptions of menu items, told us what his favorite dishes were, checked on us regularly, and made sure we were happy throughout our dining experience). While Delbar is a lively restaurant with lots of activity and staff, no manager ever visited our table so we did not have the opportunity to offer feedback about our server or our missing leftovers. Positive service notes: female bartender was engaging and efficient! Ladies at the hostess stand were courteous and pleasant both on our way in and on our way out when we got our parking ticket validated. read more

4 stars for ambiance and vibes, 3 stars for food. I want to love Del Bar but for non meat eaters the menu is very limited compared to Rumis and others. That being said the Buckhead vibe, especially the patio, is top tier! Very sceney. This is perfect for date night or fun outings with friends. Parking is limited but valet available by the ovation entrance in the back. Went on a Friday and service was slow. Reservations are a must!!! read more

Loved this restaurant! 10/10! The food came out very quickly was very fresh, and many options to choose from. I was so distracted by eating that I didn't even get a photo of every single thing we ordered. Most of the food here are shareable so you and your party can share a plate. Are we just was very knowledgeable and we had the opportunity to sit on the heated patio, which had excellent ambience. Parking is offsite at a parking garage and was validated by the restaurant. Came here for brunch on Sunday while in town for the weekend. I've heard amazing things about this place. We started off with mimosas which were the perfect mix of orange juice and champagne. Then we got a few different items to share and it was the perfect amount of food for two people. Everything on the menu sounded amazing and the food was absolutely delicious. The inside of the restaurant was so cute and this would definitely be a great spot for dinner. The service was super fast and very attentive. Would recommend this place to everyone read more

Delbar truly never disappoints. The food is outstanding! Since the last time I have been, they added a lot more vegetarian options to the entrees too. They are always super accommodating with allergies as well. They have a constantly rotating cocktail list, and I've never had a drink I didn't like from there. Some notes: It is best for groups under 10, as anything above that, you have to sign a contract with a minimum amount. Parking can be difficult in that area. Street parking is free if you can find a spot or there's a paid garage down the street. read more

Very cute venue with thoughtful touches, starting with the rosewater towelette. We enjoyed the sandwiches and the Adana appetizer. On the sandwiches, I preferred the koobideh over the lamb, but the salad and fries were excellent. Personable service and easy street parking made it a great stop. One of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta...actually in the country. Real nice atmosphere and great service without being too fancy for a t-shirt attire. Cannot remember the names of my order but definitely get the chicken wings and meatballs to share at the table. The server should know the names of it on the menu. Delbar contemporary Mediterranean vibe in Buckhead is absolutely worth the hype. Ari was incredibly helpful and made our experience feel special, even bringing us a few extra goodies to try which I always appreciate. From the shrimp, to the chicken wings, and the hummus and baba ghanoush, every bite was packed with flavor. You can taste the quality and care in each dish. And we ended with the most light and refreshing pistachio soft serve paired with rose tea the perfect sweet finish. Excellent food, fair prices, and a prime Buckhead location. Dining here for the second time, the restaurant broke my Atlanta norm in that it got even better. Part of it was the weather, the group and the outstanding service, but in the end, the food stood completely on its own. There are so many dishes in the small plates, dips and greens that you could eat a meal in those alone. The Omani shrimp, Shishito Peppers, and Dill Labneh with Lamb all stood out. For something wonderful and light, the beet carpaccio was so flavorful. For entrees, the sea bass was my favorite, but the Chinjeh (beef kebab) and the Shishlik (lamb chops) were excellent as well. The rice should not be overlooked. Try the Adas Polo, which is a combination of Tahdig (crispy layer of rice), lentil, raisin, saffron, basmati rice, and crispy onions The inside of the restaurant is very inviting and the vibe was very lively for a Monday night.
