Ordered a Sandwich paid extra for avacado and extra cheese. Not only did they not put the avacado or the extra cheese I paid for, but they didn't even put the cheese that comes with the sandwich. After reading the other reviews it seems like this is a common issue. Atmosphere: Located in a pretty tight plaza with tight parking, but inside was opened and spacious for a sandwich place. Customer service: Online ordering was not working, so I had to call in for my order. Employee on the phone was kind and helped me throughout the order. When I came in to pay, the other employee was also very kind as well. Food: Sandwiches and fries were good, but they tasted like any other sandwiches. There were no unique taste to them that made me want to go back for more. If I had to choose, the fries win over the sandwiches. I come here frequently and have been quite satisfied with their sandwiches and salads. They have a large variety of veggies for the sandwiches, compared to other sandwich shops. The beer battered fries are very tasty too. I usually order online and it's always ready when I get there. If they have any questions about your order, they call immediately to clarify. The prices are a bit high but a large sandwich can last for two meals which makes it worthwhile. The only thing that saddens me about this place is the staff never looks happy. Food was ok - but on Sunday 11/17/2019 the shift manager messed up my order, through delivered door dash. Then when I had to bring it back in, she was snarky and unapologetic. ($7 for door dash fees down the toilet) The cashier was very helpful and apologetic...she should be the shift manager and the other one taught a lesson on customer care. No discount for my troubles though...even though I bought another sandwich and chips when I was there waiting on my other one to be fixed...that comes from the top...enable your employees to fix the problem. This was at the Merced location on Olive. This was a large order for a doctor's office, and even the ordering process was a disappointment. My office manager called in and was told by the worker to go online because they were dealing with several other orders, despite the fact that we did not need our order for several hours. I tried to use the online ordering tool and found I could only order sandwiches, and not the salad, soups, fries, chips, or drinks that we also needed. After three frustrating attempts to book online--and a lost half hour--I called again and gave the order over the phone. Fast forward to picking up a 200.00 order--they hand us seven cups, rather than the eight we had paid for. Easy fix, got another cup, but then they didn't have drink carriers and didn't think to ask us if we needed help with eight drinks in a to-go order. We had to ask for a box. A spinach wrap and an order of fries were missing from when we got to the office. Had to go back and get them, and they even had the wrap wrong and wanted to give a lettuce wrap. Two soups were ordered. We wanted broccoli cheese, but apparently the Deli Delicious powers that be could not see fit to updating their website to advise that they don't serve it anymore. Okay, we'll have the chicken tortilla instead. 4.95 for a cup of soup...you would think they would fill the cup. They barely reached the halfway level on the cup. Salad promised cheese and avocado on the website--no cheese, and two tiny slivers of avocado hidden under a handful of cheap sprouts. 8.95 for that. This place is amazing! The sub itself is AMAZING. The toasty-ness is perfects perfect amount of stuff inside. The sandwich is better without chips! And I love to eat chips with my sandwiches. Fires staff without providing a reason and refusing to provide job information until pressured into doing so. Has worked staff in no AC conditions during summer without resolving issue promptly and requiring staff to work as normal, and watches staff while she is off work through cameras monitoring employee actions (at a sandwich shop!) all day. There are three people behind the counter and they still can't manage to make a sandwich in under 15 minutes. Came hear last week had one person ahead of me and it took over 30 minutes for two sandwiches. Ok, so first of all we did the "express pick up" were we ordered our food online. We ordered at 11:45 am and selected the pickup time to be 12:15pm. When we got there the food wasn't prepared and even after we tried to let them know we are in the express pick up line they acknowledged we were there but continued to help customers that weren't in the express in. Now, if our food was ready that wouldn't have been much of an issue. After they helped everyone our food was made which was past 12:20pm at this point. We left here at 12:27 which doesn't make sense to me, why have a pick up time if they food won't be ready plus it was already paid for too. Now, that's not why I chose to write a YELP review. We work across town and by time we got back and opened our food it was 12:45 and it was COMPLETELY WRONG. Online it gives you an option for lettuce wraps and then for some reason it asks you still what kind of bread but we didn't' select bread. If I'm standing right in front of you and you see I selected LETTUCE wrap and bread is also selected why wouldn't you just ask me instead of ASSUMING bread. If someone selects lettuce wraps, they most likely do not want bread. It gives you bread size choices then lettuce wrap size (small or large). On top of that all the veggies were wrong and I paid for extra bacon but got one slice on my sandwich. I attempted to call the manager and the only thing she said was "Well the ordered said lettuce wraps and toasted, you can't toast lettuce wraps". No shit lady! But I was right in front of you why wouldn't you ask me about that instead of making something wrong for a customer! The only thing she offered was to come make and she'll make it right again. So, on my 1 hour lunch let me drive across town to have you make something you messed up the first time. A complementary lunch for in the future since I didn't have time today, to go all the way over there, would have been nice but then again I shouldn't have to tell a MANAGER how to have excellent customer service. I guess over charging, rude, and ignorant customer service is what we have these days! And that wouldn't even been considered complementary since I didn't get the lunch I paid for and it was the same for my co-worker. I never write bad reviews but this was just plan sad! I don't even know where to begin. As a person who specializes in deli subs, this place is way better than most popular chain sub places. The location is so BRIGHT and attractive! The service was friendly, LOTS of menu options and the two young ladies working today were so sweet! I took my order to go and they packaged it up so nicely! Best part though, CURLY FRIES. Best curly fries EVER. I was sad I opted out for Deli Delicious instead of Jack in the Box because curly fries but I lost my mind when I saw DD has them too! And way better! 10/10 would recommend! But the last 3 times (all this month) I have asked for them to add jalapeños and they haven't also the sandwiches have had no flavor or taste to them.. guess it's like any other place that has good food at first the word gets out about the great food and then they go to shit!!
