When this place opened, it was so good but unfortunately has gone downhill. Not just in food but in Service too. I love their clam chowder in the bread bowl, but that's about it. I eat here A LOT! Generally the food is pretty solid when ordering inside for carry out and staff if friendly. Maybe it's because I've been standing right there and therefore, they follow the menu when preparing food. I'd like to believe that they generally care about customers? Ordering from Door Dash or Uber Eats for delivery is a crapshoot and never in a lucky way. There are menu options that allow for checking what one would like on sandwiches. These seem to be more of suggestions and are arbitrarily followed with random results unlike what is expected/checked. They also allow for notes. Unfortunately I have never actually had my notes read or followed through on an order. I've been seriously disappointed before but tonight took it to a newer level: BLT without lettuce and the smallest $15 sandwich ever. Turkey sandwich with no condiments despite checking several. Notes that were not read so items were missing. Side note- do not get lobster roll. Didn't Yelp that one but I should have. I took pictures because I had planned on reviewing it. The old lady Anya who helped me with my order today was extremely rude. I asked if there was French roll and she said "no, that's why we're west coast sourdough, we only have sourdough" and listed 2 other breads available. We decided to have the Italian sandwich meal and we shared it. Sandwich, salad and a drink for $21. Truthfully, we both left satisfied, no food coma and that sandwich was so worth it and we will come back and try a different sandwich. I ate my veggie sandwich and cookie in the car and it was so damn good I went back in and ordered basically the whole damn menu! The quality of food does not match the price. The service wasn't great either. My family and I went after Sunday Mass at 6:40. I understand they close at seven and we had no intentions of eating there as I saw another employee putting up the chairs and sweeping. The couple in front me ordered and went to sit down to wait for their order to be called. When I approached the cashier informs me that my order would have to be to go because they were closing. Best Sandwich I've ever had. Sourdough bread is toasted golden and has a light crisp on the outside and softness towards the center . The thin sliced ham and provolone quality is very similar and on par to Jersey Mikes. This is a high quality great tasting sandwich ! read more

New, clean, clever menus hide storage on the back wall. Typical sandwich places, variety of sandwiches, many bread, meat, trimming choices. Alas, in their enthusiasm to fill cups with dressing, etc, they overflow them so opening them can be a disaster. Then, there was a really, really strange, gooey cream colored substance attached to the glob of bacon bits in my cobb salad that had plenty of goodies, but scratchy lettuce. We decided to try this sandwich place today heard it was good. My husband ordered on line went and in to pick up he stood there while the lady there ignored him for a few minutes then just walked away my husband walked over to another area and she came back out still not even asking what he needed finally asked what he needed and he said to pick up his food that had been sitting there the entire time . He gets the food we went home to eat it and it was just ok nothing special I got the BBQ brisket and he got the Ruben. I personally like deli Delicious a lot better will probably never go back . I found this spot by chance. I went in and found a busy sandwich shop with a long line. I waited. I ordered the pesto turkey sandwich. The bread was the star for sure! It comes with 2 pieces of bread on the side if you order the cup. Bread was a little thinner than expected, but was still enjoyable and better than having too thick of a bread! The bread was great, toasted and soft/chewy on the inside and not soggy at all as we ate there. Service was fast even though it was a little busy (went at dinner time), so that was nice! The tables were clean once we seated ourselves and the interior is nicely decorated for the space. Menu is easy to read and order from and has a variety of sandwiches. Overall, would recommend, can't go wrong with a good sandwich and new place to sit in to eat. It's nice to see Merced having more businesses trickling in and having more options to eat at.
