This location of Deli Manjoo is located in H-Mart. These manjoos are cute little pastries with fillings. They also sell taiyakis here that are bigger. The manjoos were 7 for $7 or 15 for $14. I was sharing with my boyfriend and these pastries are gone in a bite, so we went with 15. You shoud bring cash or they have a $0.50 fee on credit card paymenys under $15. A bit pricey for how tiny the snack is. To my surprised they were individually packaged and this location had multiple flavors compared to the locations I've been to prior. They were individually wrapped and premade, not as fresh as what I have had prior. We got 2 of the walnuts, 2 redbean filling, 2 chocolate looking ones, and the rest in original custard. The others were fun to try but the custard is my favorite. A nice snack if I'm already at this H-Mart picking up groceries but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. I like the locations that sell them fresh, when they're warm and tasty. The taiyakis are made fresh to order but it's a bigger pastry.
This is my favorite taiyaki place located inside H-mart in Diamond Bar. I love the red bean and custard flavors the most. The taiyaki are always made to order. And they make it a bit chewy, kinda like mochi inside and the fillings are not too sweet. I have tried lots of different places but this place is still the best.
This was one of our favorite dessert spots. A toasted tapioca sort of pancake/waffle batter in a fish shape called taiyaki. A popular street food in Japan. With filling choice of: Nutella, custard, sweet potato, red bean, chocolate, cheese, plain, apple, blueberry cream cheese. They have small fish, large fish or medallions. The small fish flavors are a great way to try all the fillings. Medallions have a choice of cheese only or for an added cost add meat. The bigger fish can be filled with any filling and made fresh within a few minutes. Bring cash if you don't want the .50 cent extra charge to use card, otherwise tap away. Area available inside to sit and enjoy them nice and hot! We chose the big taiyaki sweet potato and custard. The freshness of these warm parcels is so satisfying with every bite. The sweet filling sort of oozes and it's like a warm hand pie but with the Asian twist of baked tapioca crust. A slight crunch and ooze.. sign me up. Service was awesome! So friendly with bright smiles. They love what they do and it shows! Would highly recommend this as the best dessert spot to choose!
A convenient stop for delicious taiyaki treats within the super hmart! I always order their 4pc big taiyaki deal with mozzarella and it's delicious as they make it fresh to order. Do note though that the cooks are inconsistent as it depends who's working and it takes some time to cook (~10-15 minutes every time) It also isn't the most convenient if you want to eat it there since there aren't many tables. Other than the inconsistency and wait time it's still a convenient stop to order some yummy snacks while grocery shopping.
Delicious taiyaki for a great price! I ordered a small snack bag and chose 2 of each flavor to try them all. Count go wrong with any of the custard flavors and I'd probably get all custard next time. The fish can be a little soggy since they're all wrapped already but a quick air fry at home does the trick!

The outside is crisp and chewy, and the inside generous with the filling of choice. We got the blueberry and cream cheese, apple mango, and sweet potato. I believe there are other flavors like custard, anko butter. Currently they go for $4 a piece and it's a decent sized taiyaki. Definitely worth it.

I came and I conquered in good faith on food LOL. They offer manjoos which is a custard or red bean filled small cake that literally looks like a mini ear of corn. They also have small and large taiyakis with various fillings such as custard, red bean, chocolate, and a few others that I don't remember LOL. I wanted to try all manjoos and taiyakis flavors so I bought a dozen with a mix of them. I tried all of them. I thought I was going to like the taiyaki custard most, but I actually prefer the match chocolate taiyaki the best as it was really tasty and flavorful. The young gentleman who was making the mandoos and taiyakis was very nice and working very hard. Thank you for keeping the production going. Prices were decent. Store front had displays of the desserts which is very helpful to the customers. They offer individual pieces and box options. I would recommend this place. Get the matcha chocolate taiyaki!!! I know I'll be back for more of it LOL.

This shop is located in the food court at H-Mart, making it the perfect place for a quick snack. It seemed like more of a grab-and-go dessert place since there wasn't much seating available inside. We ordered the custard, cream cheese, and chocolate flavors in the tapioca dough. The dough was soft and chewy, and the filling was not overly sweet. Each piece was also individually packaged which was really convenient. It was $5 for 6 pieces which I thought was fairly priced considering the amount of work that goes into making them. The cashier was incredibly kind and helped recommend some flavors to us. The service was very quick and she also pointed out the extra 50¢ surcharge for credit card purchases under $15, which was really useful to know. Overall, I really loved the taiyaki here and will definitely be back to try the manjoo!

I love taiyakis and it's a bit hard to find great taiyaki in LA . . . I know, right? Well, this place has it. The large ones are $3.50 each, and 4 for $12.00. Flavors include red bean, sweet potato, chocolate, custard, apple mango, and blueberry. The most popular are the red bean, custard, and sweet potato. I've had their red bean and sweet potato, and both are delicious and made fresh with great, generous filling. There's also options for snack bags or gift boxes. The snack bag is the better value, where you can get 6 pieces for $5, 12 pieces for $10, or 20 pieces for $15. The mini-taiyaki gift boxes include 12 pieces for $12, 24 for $20, and 36 for $28.00. They also have different types of gift boxes like the Mix Box and Hodoya (which are the round barley cakes with walnut and red bean paste filling)! The mini ones are cool because there are various flavors like custard, red bean, coffee, chocolate, sweet potato, walnut, and cream cheese. Overall, such a great place if you love taiyaki. Also, plenty of parking. Credit cards are accepted with a minimum purchase of $15. If not, there is an extra $.50 charge.
The mini taiyaki were so cute and good! Great to snack on and also makes a really cute gift. I tried the custard, sweet potato, and chocolate filled mini taiyakis and they were all good. Loved the chewy texture of the tapioca flour. I did confirm with the store that they aren't gluten free though for those who might be wondering.
They are located inside of the Hmart in Diamond bar. I bought 1 red bean Taiyaki, it's $3.50 for cash, $4 for credit card (+$0.5 surcharge). It's very tasty since they freshly made it on the spot, there was a 5 minute wait time. I love how the Taiyaki was made of mochi instead of flour. A happy experience overall.
I love this place for Taiyaki. They recently added a meat and cheese one that's basically a bun/dumpling in taiyaki form. It's brilliant. It's $1 more though. The sweet potato is a staple and it's not too sweet for the perfectly balanced taiyaki. Places like Somi Somi don't have sweet potato, so I always get it here. I love making the trip here when I'm in the area, they have a good variety of fillings, they're polite and fast, and I can browse the HMart while I'm waiting. read more

How disappointing. They gave us left over from prior day. It was ice cold when we bit in to it. If you do pick up items be sure to ask them if it's fresh. We will not return. read more

The best taiyaki I've had inside the food court of HMART! The fresh, bigger sized ones take awhile to make, maybe like 10 ish mins. But they give a pager. Loved the chocolate and meat and cheese flavors that come out warm!! So good! And the mini taiyaki are 6 for $5. Also very tasty but I'd probably skip the custard ones. I wanna try the walnut red bean ones! read more
This is located inside the H Mart's food court. You can order small taiyaki or large taiyaki. The small ones are prepackaged and easy to grab and go. The large ones take about 10 minutes to make and they give you a pager that will notify you once your order is ready. There's one person who runs the store so prepare to wait a little to order since she's doing everything. I ordered the custard, sweet potato, apple mango, blueberry cream cheese, and cheese & meat taiyaki. My favorite was the custard. The taiyaki was chewy, almost mochi like, and the custard filling was not too sweet. It's best to eat everything as soon as you get them, otherwise it gets soggy. You can also order gift boxes of the small taiyaki. They charge an extra 50 cents on credit card payment under $15. Highly recommend trying this place! read more

Checked out the Super H Mart in Diamond Bar after finding out that they sold fresh taiyaki and manjoo there at Deli Manjoo. I highly recommend trying the large taiyaki and it was one of the best taiyaki I have had. It had generous amounts of red bean filling and the outside had a nice mochi like chew to it. They have a variety of flavours to choose from. read more

Honestly, this is what sets this H-Mart location aside from all the other ones that I have gone to. The inclusion of a taiyaki and other custard filled pastries is what is so hard to find, unless you go to a Korean dessert place, Somi Somi, or out to Little Tokyo or something. Glad that I have the option of getting this here and that it's affordable, though prices have definitely gone up since the first time that I have been here (many, many years ago). There's lots of options here. There's the large fresh taiyaki with your choice of filling and then there are the smaller pastries with different fillings, like the smaller taiyaki, corn, and walnut. Some filling that I have seen before are the standard custard and others such as red bean, chocolate, cream cheese, peanut butter, etc. I believe the walnut ones have real walnut bits inside them as well. I love the chewy mochi texture inside the taiyaki and I also enjoy the soft pound cake fluffiness of the corn (manjooya). They have drinks here too, but I have never tried. The smaller pastries are individually wrapped, so you can get them in a baggie or in a gift box. My only issue here is that for some of the smaller pastries, I've had really variable quality with them. Sometimes super delicious, other times mega spongy and unpleasant to eat (maybe microwaving these would be better). You can never go wrong with their fresh big taiyaki though! read more
Deli Manjoo sells taiyaki. This place calls them lucky fish. They're in a food court located inside H-Mart Market in Diamond Hills Plaza Shopping Center. I ordered a set of 6 taiyakis with custard feeling which were served immediately. I also ordered a chocolate taiyaki. For the chocolate taiyaki, they gave me a pager that will beep when ready. I waited at least 10 minutes for the chocolate taiyaki. The custard filling was pretty good. The texture of the small taiyaki was soft and chewy. The chocolate filling wasn't that sweet, almost like rich dark chocolate. The chocolate was piping hot with the pastry having flaky and chewy texture. I enjoyed the custard taiyaki a bit more than the chocolate taiyaki. Will be back to try more of their taiyaki. read more

記得疫情剛剛開始在美國蔓延，餐館都只能外帶的時期， 不用上班，每個禮拜待在家裡，買菜,煮飯變成最重要的事情， 口罩手套帶好帶滿之外，還要選擇人少的時候去超市，見到面的就同樣的那幾個人，天天都在關注感染的人數，相信那時很多媽咪也是練的ㄧ手烹飪的好手藝呀，除了要想辦法煮出不同的餐點之外，偶爾買回去的甜點，就是生活裡的小確幸，而這家在 Diamond Bar HMart 的雕魚燒就是其中一樣常常會讓我帶回家的小點心 以前我都擔心疫情會讓他們撐不下去，看來是我多慮了， 這家應該住附近的無人不知吧， 跟車輪餅一樣有紅豆奶油的內餡，但是他們的皮就是有特殊配方， 吃起來就是比較Q,就是不一樣，每次我拿到熱呼呼的雕魚燒，真的都會忍不住在車上就偷吃起來，很多愛吃鬼都會這樣吧，美食當前，永遠投降，偶爾也會再加買已經做好的一盒有內餡的小小魚甜點，讓兩個孩子吃完雕魚燒，可以當零嘴吃，現在我很少去超市買菜了，但偶爾嘴饞時，還是會來這買這我心目中最好吃的雕魚燒， 還是一樣的好滋味！ read more
Located inside H Mart as part of the food court, this taiyaki stand makes some of the better ones I've tried outside of Asian countries. I didn't post any photos of the taiyaki as there are already hundreds on their page. I ordered two: one custard filled and the other blueberry-cream cheese. They make them to order which took about 7 minutes. They had several other flavor options including the traditional red bean, sweet potato, chocolate, or just plain. The fish imprint was well defined on both taiyaki. The "waffle" was thick with a crisp exterior that got more doughy toward the inside. The custard one was very good with just the right amount of filling; not so much that it splurted out everywhere as you ate it but enough to be satisfying with each bite. The blueberry cream cheese was equally wonderful and had plenty of filling too. Service was stoic yet friendly and the price was reasonable. If you like taiyaki this is a good place to get some and if you've never had one this is a great spot for your first experience. read more
Deli Manjoo makes the best Taiyaki! Their Taiyakis are made fresh and it is definitely worth the wait! My advice is to try and eat it while it's still hot and fresh because you will get that crispy exterior, chewy (mochi-like) interior, and that piping hot gooey filling. My favorite filling is the blueberry cream cheese and I highly suggest this one! Personally, I'm not a fan of red bean paste so I would not order that one, but if you like red bean then I would imagine that one will be just as good! If you really need to save some taiyakis to enjoy after it gets cold, I highly recommend toasting it in the toaster oven for a few minutes until it crisps back up. I did this the next day and it tasted just the same as when it came out fresh! read more

I love Deli Manjoo! It's located inside H-Mart Diamond Bar. Large taiyaki: They make these large taiyaki fresh to order and have an assortment of flavors (custard, red bean, chocolate, sweet potato, blueberry cream cheese, apple mango). The outside is super crispy, but also has a v nice chewy texture. They also really pack in the fillings, so every bite is perfect. 4 for $12 feels pretty reasonable for the size they are - just be careful not to bite into it too fast because the inside can be piping hot. Mini taiyaki: They make these mini versions of taiyaki that are also bomb. My favorite is the cream cheese filling, but they're all pretty good. Other flavors include custard, red bean, chocolate, and sweet potato. I love to take them home and put them in the toaster oven until the outside is crispy for a super satisfying snack. Other: the corn shaped and ball shaped mini snacks have a more spongy/cake-like texture if you're into that (the fish are made with tapioca). Overall, a great place for a treat that's not too sweet and v satisfying. $15 minimum charge for credit (or 50 cent extra charge for under $15). Or you can just pay cash. These also make for a great gift! (They have gift boxes available). read more
Located inside the HMart food court, Deli Manjoo is serving up piping hot, fresh taiyaki and I'm here for it! I called in for an order of Large Taiyaki ($3 each or 4 for $10) and asked for four custard and four red bean. The taiyaki was made fresh to order and I loved the crispy exterior and chewy, mochi-like interior. The filling was piping hot and so delicious too! I loved both the red bean and custard fillings and would definitely get both again. Although, I will say the custard is a bit on the sweeter side so I'd recommend this only if you have a big sweet tooth. Make sure to eat your taiyaki while it's still piping hot as it tastes best when fresh! Deli Manjoo also offers a smaller bite size portion of their taiyakis, but those are already pre-packaged and don't taste as good in my opinion as it loses its crispy exterior. While I really enjoyed the fresh taiyaki, I will say their customer service could be improved upon. This may be due to a language barrier as English is not their first language, but the gentleman who took my phone order was not friendly, and made it very clear to me he was frustrated when I asked what flavors were available. Also note there will be a wait as the taiyaki is made to order. There was a 40 minute wait my first time here as a walk-in (even though the cashier told me 10 minutes), and there was a 15 minute wait during my second time calling in as a phone order. Super tastey made to order pastries shaped like fish and stuffed with ooooey gooey yumminess. Kind of reminds me of a pancake/waffle marriage that's filled with chocolate, custard, redbean or blueberry cream cheese. The chocolate one was very good. The fish was not too sweet. They are a perfect size and not for sharing. Located in the Super H Mart and they don't open until 9:00am and they only take cash. Mostly everything is made to order and takes 5-7 minutes read more
My experience here was amazing! I am probably biased because sweet potatoes are my favorite thing in the world and they have a sweet potato taiyaki. The service was really good though, and the selection is unique! Order: Sweet potato taiyaki: this flavor was so amazing honestly. I love sweet potatoes so my favorite I have had by far Blueberry cream: this flavor was super yum as well. It tasted like a blueberry pancake! Custard: Classic, can't go wrong with this flavor. Located in the H Market. We love these baked goods. There used to be one in a nearby city, but closed down because of the pandemic. We ordered 4 flavors: Chocolate Red bean Blueberry with cream cheese Apple mango I loved the apple mango and blueberry ones! Then we bought minis as well but I forgot all the flavors we bought. All of these were tasty and I love it when it's freshly made. Employee was friendly. We just waited a few minutes while they were being prepared. Support your local businesses. read more

I came here before closing on a Sunday night and the cashier/worker was this sweet asian girl with blonde hair and glasses. Ive visited before and she has been the nicest worker so far. I got the 6 pieces for $5 and you can mix and match with the fish/corn shaped taiyakis and with the walnut shaped pastry with walnut and red bean. I prefer the batter with the corn starch which is cake like than the mochi like batter. The walnut pastries were pretty good! read more

I came here just to try out their custard fish after being recommended by many people. I couldn't find it at first until I realized it was inside the H mart and on the right side. I ordered one large taiyaki, which they began making once I ordered. This is by far the best custard fish I've ever had in the US. The outside is crisp and crunchy while the inside is very chewy. The custard filling was a bit too sweet for my taste but the dough was just amazing. It was exactly what I was looking for in a taiyaki. Overall, I was genuinely surprised.
