Food is amazing, been coming here since 2016. It's affordable compare to other deli places in town.

I even asked Andie, whom I consider as my Yelp Goddess for down-to-earth great food and I loyally follow. This place came up in my comfortable radar. Moreover, Evan C . Whom I feel always has honestest reviews, also wrote a review on it. I decided to give a "vaccine" for my growing craving here today. I am so happy on my instinct decision. I walked in the shop and there were about 5 ppl scattered inside already. My eyes were lit up seeing hot food bar right in front. There were no menu so I walked up to the cashier asking how I could order. The owner lady was very patient and nice explained to me even when she was busy. I felt embarrassed because I knew nothing about Mexican/Latin good nor spoke Spanish. I ordered two chicken tamales simple and easy because I did not want to take too much time of hers. I could not believe the tamale only $1.75/each! The owner lady even unwrapped them for my convenience. Thank you! Honestly, the chicken tamales were alright, somewhat savory and fresh! But too little chicken meat! Also the meat was too lean! Some fat and veggies or other ingredients would be much tastier, like those I had in Southern California!

He requested a surprise birthday candle in the cake and they also put it on a plate that says happy birthday. Really nice presentation! He unfortunately didn't love their version of fra diavolo because it has a ton of peppers. Otherwise it was tasty, he just picked out most of the peppers. The seafood in it was cooked well and he said the shrimp was his favorite part. We also added extra tapas - -brussels sprouts (VERY good) -baked clams (these have stuffing with shrimp and a slice of bacon on top. We actually didn't like these, would prefer clams without a pile of stuffing).

The staff here is very friendly and patient as we spent a good time catching up with our friends and took our time looking through the menus. The decor was very home like. That was the icing of our evening! Thanks Sangria 71!!

I could understand if this was one of those "one off" situations but it wasn't. I've been to this place multiple times within a short amount of time due to visiting them when they were ill - because it was highly recommended by some friends of mine who are from the area - buying us some tasty meals - buuut no... and it's funny because they are ALL well aware of what they were doing each and every time they were doing this as well I thought that kind of thing only happened in movies but apparently that simply isn't the case so it's really good to know that's the kind of business they like to operate - it definitely doesn't seem like they're struggling. Either way, noted.

The food tastes homemade, but some of them can be salty...like the empanadas. Too salty!!! My sister ordered once, and it wasn't very good. I always order the chicharon with rice and beans. They make it really well there. They also have homemade quesadilla salvadoreña. It's one of my faves. They have ones that they sell, but it isn't their homemade one. The commercial brand one sucks so bad. Stale, too! I don't really go there to buy packaged stuff...just for the buffet they got. Everyone's really nice there. You can eat inside since there's a place to sit and eat. But i always take it to go. The service is quick, the prices are reasonable. I recommend coming through if you're ever in the mood for spanish food

We arrived late in the evening and sat at the bar. We were greeted by one of the owners who was the bartender for the evening. Once we chose our food, he helped with the wine selection. His knowledge was extensive and impressive. We had a variety of foods. I enjoyed some tapas. Warm olives, some delicious cheese and delectable grilled shrimp. My husband enjoyed the grilled shrimp over polenta. While at the bar we watched how most of the food was prepared on the plancha. The food was paired with wines to balance and elevate the flavors. Looking forward to returning to try one of the delicious looking boards and paella.
