Went with a group of 5. Was very impressed with the bar area. They have appox. 15 - 25 different beers on tap. There is a portion of the bar that is made of a frosty ice so your beer or drink stays iced cold while you drink. Got to the restraunt before our party, we stopped at the bar while we waited, found the bar area to be very clean and inviting. The nicest thing was the "service only" bar you pass when you walk in - which is genius - now you don't have to wait while your bartender is pouring drinks for the whole restraunt. We then were seated at a booth, the menu was pretty cool how it lit up. We orded a few apps nachos and fried calamari - which if I can remember came out in a resonable amount of time and were pretty tastey. (this review is coming 2 months after I was there) I orded the Burger, and the thing was more then enough food -plus very juicy (cooked medium). I gave this place a 4 start because the whole group walked out and we all agreed we had a great dinner and at a decent price. We all agreed we will be going back. The bar area was really nice and offered a lot of diverse drafts. My group sat in a booth big enough for 5 but wasn't the most comfortable. Great place, very cool scene, tons of great beers, great food!!!! I have been there about 5 times now. Last night we had about 12 people. The service sucked!! I waited 15min once to order another beer, they never cleared the table of finished or dirty plates and they had no clue who's food was who's. As I walked out I was carrying my 2 month old, bags and walking my 2 year old. The host, a manager and two waitresses stood bullshitting by the door and did not offer to open it. Love most of the food and the beer selection is great. Only Downside is that it feels like it's going to snow inside the bar area. There seems to be no heat and when you look around you can see the waitstaff is cold as well. There is an unbearable draft at the corner of the bar. I've been to Delicious Heights on three occasions (to this location, only twice) and I've enjoyed my food every time. Please note, my review is solely on the food and atmosphere, not on the service (not that I personally had an issue with this). Delicious Heights meets all the standards of a good sports bar--a variety of beers on tap, several TVs, and great appetizers. During my most recent visit (12/6/14) I tried the wings and was ecstatic to finally find GOOD wings in New Jersey. Each wing had a substantial amount of meat, the breading wasn't too thick or greasy, and the buffalo flavor had a hint of spicy-ness but not overwhelming. My only disappointment was that they don't offer the wings in any other flavors. It's also worth noting that they also use their own homemade blue cheese and, although it is not exactly a traditional blue cheese, it is above-average. During my last visit I also tried the butternut squash soup with crabmeat (a seasonal special). I would give the soup a B+. They gave a generous portion (rightfully so for $12) and it was warm and filling, but could have used a little more seasoning to complement the butternut squash. Other dishes I've tried from Delicious Heights include the sushi appetizer, their wraps, veggie platter, and burgers. I had no complaints! My personal recommendation would be to sub the sweet potato fries for the regular fries. They seem to have a light brown-sugar/cinnamon coating that definitely ups the flavor. I hate when I forget to check in. Anyway went the other night after Christmas shopping. A little bit of a wait. It was late 9 pm. Bar area packed. I had a drink at their service station which was cool, tons of beer on tap. 4 of us where seated. The booths to me where too tight. I had on a long over coat they did not have a coat room or even a coat rack or hook. So picture 4 large guys in a booth with all our coats and jackets. Too tight. I ordered a Jack and ginger ale. Was 8.50 but I couldn't taste the jack, so I went to Jack on the rocks. Ohhh Yeah. Still 8.50. A much better value. Menus were cool. They were a back lit tablet. I had their steak which was cooked to perfection. My one friend came from his office party. He ordered Mac and Cheese. Don't ask! He ate already. But the Mac and Cheese was Kraft out of a box. I thought it would be a bit fancier for this place. I know he gets if at Char as a side and u can see its special. I know we had another steak which they enjoyed. Can't remember the other meal but I know all were Happy with meals. A bit pricey but we expected it. My suggestion here leave your coat in the car. Tell them to invest in a coat hook please. New restaurant in the old Willie's. However if someone blindfolded you and brought you here and asked you what restaurant this used to be (once you were inside) and where you are, you would have no clue. Delicious Heights is quite the modern restaurant. It is on the darker side and has modern interior decorating and even modern amenities (USB at each table). Once you sit down you are probably going to wonder how you will read the menus, but voila! the menu lights up! The bar area is also really modern with countless taps at multiple bars with really neat logos on each tap to show you the beer. In one word, the atmosphere is amazing. The food here is also really great. It is not cheap, but not expensive either. There is a good variety of what I would call "new American" food. I had the cheesesteak when I went and it was really great. The others in my party all stated that their meals were excellent as well. Serving size is also very good. This restaurant is a must go to if you are in the area! read more

The fried calamari, potato skins, and fried ravioli were delicious but the seafood pasta entree was overcooked and the balsamic chicken was swimming in sauce. Nice ambience and a great selection of beers. My husband loved his Ahi tuna burger. I ordered the turkey burger and was disappointed. It's rare to get a truly tasty turkey burger, but judging from how conscientiously the whole restaurant seemed to be planned and executed, I thought it might be an exception. Unfortunately it was dry, dense, and flavorless. I ended up commandeering the sriracha aioli that came with the Ahi. Service was friendly and professional in the bar where we ate. The illuminated menu is very cool, and necessary as this place is dark; very dark. Staff is uninviting & have yet to see a smile in the 4 or 5 times I've been there. I never review a place from 1 visit, but now feel I've given the place enough chances. Food is a basic "good", but well overpriced for basic. A couple of drinks & some apps will set you back the same as a full multi-course meal. Service is pretty terrible (slow and unattentive), and the food ranges from mediocre to lousy. And it's all very overpriced (drinks also). Every time I've been here I've felt a bit screwed when I left, like I just lost a bunch of money and had little to show for it. Someone I was with raved about the nachos here. I ordered them. There was ice forming around the taps, I have no idea if that made any impact but the beer was delicious. After a drink or 2 (ok 3) we decided to order dinner at the bar. I ordered off the specials menu and had Fettuccine and Lobster. It was good maybe even very good as it was consumed at the bar. To be classified as great I would be looking for a little more depth to the flavor. The bartenders were very attentive. For a Thursday / Friday stop after work it is perfect. Was our 2nd time having lunch at this location. Lunch was uneventful, shared the french onion soup and then my wife got a sandwich and I the nachos. Got home and 90 minutes later we both got sick. Thank g-d for multiple bathrooms in our home. Felt we should call the restaurant and tell them. Manager told my wife "Thanks for calling, I will check with the kitchen regarding temperature and prep and call you back. Your health is our number 1 concern. I'm sure it's not food poisoning since that takes 24-48 hours to show up." Couple hours later he called back, "checked with the kitchen, everything is fine." When my wife inquired about getting our money back for lunch, a whole $30 his answer was "if I do that it would be an admission of guilt that we were responsible for you and your husband getting ill." I will call back tomorrow to see how you are doing. 4 days later NO CALL!! I guess the manager works for the FDA in his spare time. Needless to say his customer service skills need some work. We called right after we both got sick having eaten separate breakfast earlier in the day. Oh by the way does he have a medical degree posted at the hostess stand that I did not see. Our waitress was absolutely terrible and never there. Our food was even worse. The quality of the food since when we first started coming in isn't even comparable and it is noticeable.
