My husband and I went there last Friday night, and I felt so compelled to right this review based on how disgusting the food was and how outrageously expensive it was.... I ordered a French onion soup as an appetizer that was prob the worst I've ever had, and then ordered the Asian chicken salad.... Which was so repulsive it was inedible!! The wontons the pit in the salad had cinnamon sugar on them! It was the grossest combination I've ever witnessed and I'm usually open to trying strange combos, but the entire sale was as if a 6 yr old had put it together. I told the waitress and she was so kind about it (obviously not her fault) and as my husband took his first bite of the penne vodka, it literally had zero taste, and yet had a very strange after taste.... And let me just add that they CHARGE $21.00 for a bowl of penne vodka which should be considered robbery in my opinion for the disgusting and poor quality of their food!!!! Never EVER going back and I highly recommend you choose somewhere else to eat if you want to actually enjoy your food! read more

Bad and slow service. Bar is empty on a Saturday night so you know that's a warning sign. Had to get up and find a waiter to take our drink order. Food is just okay... though my stomach is killing me from something I ate - had the guac app and chicken Milanese. Staff just seems more interested in chit chatting with each other than serving. Great place to hang out with family or friends! There are TVs all around so I usually come when there's a game on. The food is always really good and the menu is extensive. Their avocado BLT and Mediterranean Grilled Chicken Sandwich are very high quality and their wings are always tasty. The service is fast and friendly and they bring the food to you as soon as it's ready. I highly recommend this restaurant: it's definitely the best restaurant around. Went there for lunch and ordered a turkey club sandwich. It came with what looked like Kraft American Cheese singles in the sandwich. Yummy. I had to take the cheese out of the sandwich. Went for lunch for the first time on a recommendation and was impressed with the decor, the service, and even the kitchie light-up menus. HOWEVER was completely DISAPPOINTED with the food, which looked good in writing, but was poorly executed.... I had a steak and avocado salad: a pile of lettuce, an avocado, and a few slices of unmarinated steak??? At least throw some cheese or something on it... Boring, flavorless, and WAY OVERPRICED. Great ambiance for a bar setting. I think it's a great place to meet friends for drinks and apps. I think the food is good, but nothing blows me away. I think restaurants like this (with such large menus) tend to fall in the "jack of all trades, master of none" category. Snooty mcsnootersons!!! Hostesses were terribly uninformative. I understand we didn't have a reservation but a little help with the pregnant lady and baby would have been appreciated. They told us a table of 8 just sat at 6:45 and our wait would be an hour. An hour later they told us they just say the next reservation at that table. They failed to tell us the table was booked all night They eventually sat us at adjacent booths. When a larger booth opened up our request was handled but frowned upon. The waitress told us we could hang our coats in the coat closet rather than leave them in an empty booth. We lugged our coats to the front (sad face) and the hostess told us there is no coat closet, leave them in the empty booth. Now the place is empty but we still don't have food. read more

I have eaten here several times. The food is not consistent. The last time we were there I had a tuna burger and it was VERY fishy, as if the fish was bad. Would love for Delicious Heights to get it together. It has huge potential. But they seem to be failing. First the environment is too dark. It has more of a NYC feel to it then a Bedminster NJ feel. I guessing they are losing a lot of locals that do not like that type of environment. When they first opened the food used to be pretty decent. The wedge salad was my favorite dish. But over the last 8 months the menu has changed, the prices have increased and the food quality has deteriorated. Where I used to get a meal once a week at Delicious Heights, I have only had one meal in 6 months. Stopped there on the way home from skiing on Thursday last week. The bar was packed and loud, the waitress took too long to come over and just didn't seem to care. The chicken parm sandwich I had was about the worst I could hope for. The smallest, driest piece of chicken with too little sauce and cheese on a terribly chewy roll. Dental floss needed. Not even close to being worth the price. Had to flag down the waitress to pay. Left cash with a tip to reflect the lousy service. Of course no thank you from her. Not going back. read more

The worst rip-off. Absolutely beyond words! I took my Mother here today for lunch. They offered Alaskan King Crab Legs on the menu, for either lunch or dinner entree. I went for the lunch, priced at $23. What they brought was 1/2 of 1 (that's right gang - - one half of only ONE) crab leg, on top of a soupspoon sized dollup of resoto and 4 (four) - count em' scrawny pieces of steamed vegetables, one tiny broccoli top, two thin slices of carrot and a marble size miniature potato (in the singular tense). I complained to the waitress about the portion size, thinking they inadvertently brought out an appetizer instead of the lunch, and she was very nice and apologetic and said she would talk to the manager. She came back a few minutes later and said that was the portion size and there was nothing they would do. A short time later, the manager came and also apologized but said that was the lunch portion size, and then added that the dinner / entre portion was 2 (T W O!!!!!!) of the same 1/2 legs (in other words - two halves equals one whole crab leg), for WELL over $30+ dollars. All this plus of course the cost of drinks, apps, etc. So, the manager offered us deserts on the house in consideration of my consternation, which we ordered. But, you guessed it: when the bill came they charged me for the deserts, too! So basically I had perhaps the most expensive appetizer in my life, and walked out of there easily as hungry as when I walked in. The half-a-crab-leg was good --- not GREAT, but fairly good. Too bad there weren't more of them for the money. Typically I order Alaskan King Crab Legs at a favorite restaurant in Princeton, NJ and now a new hot spot in my hometown Easton, PA. What I pay at both places is comparable to the "entree" portion price at Delicious Heights, but you get a full rack of 6 legs, and they taste just a good as this sole, lonely half a leg. To be completely fair, our waitress was absolutely lovely and admitted the portion was awful, but said that she was not allowed to tip patrons off to the actual size of what you got. I did tip her about 35% and she most definitely deserved it. I am a businessman, and I get it: the restaurant needs to turn a reasonable profit for each item served, but if the cost of the item is so high that you can't present a decent and reasonable portion, then DON'T OFFER IT ON THE MENU! Either that, or don't be so greedy! I'll NEVER be so foolish to go back there. They've truly lost a customer here! read more

My fiancé and I just bought a home in the area and Delicious Heights is only a 5 minute drive so we decided to give it a try one night during the week. The interior is dimly lit with up to date decor. We sat at the bar, employees greeted us and were very friendly. They have what seem to be LED displays for each tap which makes it a lot easier to see than just a brewery tap handle. This is a plus if the bar is ever swamped on a Friday or Saturday night, in our case for a week night you could just look at a menu but it was a cool feature. Good mix of American fare such as seafood, steaks, and burgers just to name a few. My only complaint is that they give you these little 30 ml ketchup bottles. For fries and a burger this little eye dropper is just simply not enough. Overall the atmosphere is nice, food is good, and beer selection is on point. Just don't skimp me on a condiment when I'm dropping at least 60 beans on drinks and food! It's petty! A bottle of ketchup ain't breaking the bank! read more

Ate here last night and the food was acceptable. My father-in-law had the shepherd's pie and said it was flavorless. My husband had the rolled steak (he ordered it because it sounded different ). It was swimming in gravy and had ALOT of mashed potatoes and the meat was just OK. I had a side salad that looked like they couldn't afford lettuce. The balsamic dressing was good. I had Thai chicken wraps as my meal and was surprised that the chicken was breaded and not cubed. The chicken tasted good but was just not what I expected. Mediocre at best. Overall the food is fine, until you take the PRICES into account. $3 for a child's (small plastic cup) soda. That's on top of the $7 kid's meal- that they charged $8 for!! Also, we were told onion rings couldn't be substituted for fries- they charge $8 for the rings- same price for any other side such as rice, a veggie, whatever. Also like I mentioned before, they overcharged 2 items by $3- my kids meal for $1 and my burger for $2. With the amount of time I waited to get the bill I said to myself, "forget trying to change it, just pay the extra couple of bucks and don't go back." read more

I organized a retirement lunch at Delicious Heights (DH) and had an extremely unpleasant experience. we Picked Bedminster location because they claimed to accomodate parties for up to 75 people. I worked with DH Event Planner Jenna to get copy of party packages. We agreed on a buffet style lunch, picked dishes from their party menu for 36$ PP. We agreed for a headcount of 35 people making provisions of late-joiners of 2-4 people. When we arrived at the restaurant, the seating arrangement was made in a room that was clearly cramped. They had not planned for additional seating. Chairs were added to squeeze people in. There was barely any room to walk around. Not sure how 75 attendees would have worked out :-) There were only 2 servers (event planner and one other server) taking drink orders for 40 people - Service was very slow. To top it all, they ran out of food even before everyone had a chance to take the first serving. When asked for more food, they said they could only bring out certain dishes, not everything??? For a place experienced at planning large parties, their estimation skills are woeful. What is the purpose of setting up a buffet if the food is rationed? Rationing is not documented on their party menu. How can a restaurant be not prepared to have food ready when they offered to setup a buffet? The servers would disappear for extended period of time while people were waiting for more food. Clearly they were not prepared to manage a party that size. Dessert for atrocious. Cold brownies/chocolate cake?? Not even room temperature.. The menu does not mention that party room rental is 100$ extra (on top of high-price buffet of 36$ pp). For their poor service they offered to waive the party hall rental. What a joke!. read more

Eeveryone was already finished with their food by the time he brought the correct item back. I assumed this would be taken off the check but it was not. Convenient local restaurant with a lot of potential that consistently has gone downhill in terms of quality and service. Last few times dined here were among the only patrons in our section on a weeknight and service painfully slow and inattentive. Food at first seemed innovative and a step above casual chain fare. My husband decided we should try to go again. The wait was still longer than the hostess said in the first place. Although the atmosphere was fine, we sat at a booth table, that are connected in a way- if you have a feet tapper behind you (bound to happen!) all you here throughout your meal is "thud, thud, thud" not very pleasant! Not a good design! The onion rings were good, and there were a lot of them. For $8 I would hope so. I had a blue cheese burger ($13) with fries. I have had better burgers, for less $. It was "fine" but to me a $13 burger should have a wow factor. My husbands salad (also $13 I think) had about 5 breaded grilled shrimp, 1 cherry tomato, 3 slices of avocado and romaine lettuce, that really looked like ice burg. It was very dull. They say it came with a light dressing. This is only accurate is by "light" you mean "almost none." Our food took almost 30 minutes to arrive (Salad and Burger!). So I can not say I would give any more stars, nor any inclination to return. At the end of dinner, with tip we paid $63 for diet coke, iced tea, burger, onion rings and a plain salad. No Thanks. As you can see from my other reviews- there are plenty of places in the area I have given excellent reviews to, and I would encourage you to give them your business over this establishment. read more

Wow - I must say that I was pretty impressed by this place. A group of us decided to go here for some dinner and drinks the other night. Some basics - DH occupies the same space that Willie's Taverne used to. I was never a fan of Willie's. When we got there, the entire parking lot was almost full - the place was absolutely packed. Upon entering, I was shocked to see how nice the place was. They must have come pretty close to gutting the place, but it looks great. Great woodwork everywhere - I was very impressed. We decide to grab a booth by the bar - it was seat yourself, I am not sure how long it would have taken to get a table. The menu is pretty impressive - literally and figuratively. When you open it up, it literally lights up which I thought was pretty cool. And, they have a ton of different items to choose from. Personally, I was torn between the burger and the ahi tuna sandwich. Since I had never been here before, I went with what I thought would be the safer option and ordered the bacon cheddar burger. For apps, we got an order of the pierogies and they were pretty good. I am not the biggest pierogie fan but they were decent. I was asked how I would like my burger cooked and I asked for medium rare (fully expecting it to come more on the medium well side). However, when I received my burger it was cooked perfectly medium rare. You could also tell that the patty was hand formed with some fresh ground chuck. I was incredibly impressed by the burger - it tasted great. Definitely one of the better burgers I have had in a while. Also, the fries that came with the burger were awesome. They were like a seasoned fry and they gave you a ton. Overall, I was very impressed by my meal. After dinner, we moved it over to the bar to have some drinks. It is a pretty nice, large bar area and the place was packed. I was kind of surprised to see how happening this place was. As an FYI, they have no light beers on tap - pretty much all imports, micros and craft brews. The bartenders were also pretty good and fast. Overall, this place is great and is definitely a great addition to the area. I can definitely say that I will be returning. Aside from the prices being slightly high for the fare they serve, I really have nothing negative at all to say about this place. I am looking forward to trying some other menu items. Give this place a shot - I don't think you will be disappointed. read more

Visited Delicious Heights in Bedminster for the 2nd time this year. Both times we sat at the bar and both times were served by Carrie. This girl knows more about beer than anyone I have ever met - she is very smart and articulate and overall just amazing. The draft beer selection was amazing and coupled with Carrie's knowledge and personality, made it a great experience. The food we had (wagyu beef sliders and Thai BBQ chicken wings) was very very good. Whenever I pass through the area I will definitely stop in. Hopefully, Carrie will be there again. read more

The restaurant looked beautiful but the food was a joke. No one at my table liked it. A couple of s felt almost sick after eating. The beef sauce tasted burnt. The "caramelized onions" weren't. They were just cooked onions. The burger was not seasoned/not well seasoned. It also tasted very old almost like it sat for a few days before being cooked. My review is mainly for the service and beer selection at the bar, not for my experience with the guy who made it to the final cut for "Jersey Shore." I was visiting family in central NJ during the week. My brother and I had gone to dinner earlier but we stopped by to get a drink before calling it a night. OK, I had more than one because I wasn't working the next day. We sat at the bar. The atmosphere was laid back. The bar has a great selection of both drafts (probably 25 or more) and bottles. I decided to go for a flight of 4 beers, a couple of ounces each. I got an Allagash White, Delirium Tremens, Breckenridge Vanilla Porter, and Paulaner. They were all very different and excellent choices. After that, I had a bottle of the Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald Porter (full size). It's one of my favorites. Because there was a Thursday Night Football game on, there was a bar menu available. Some people near us really enjoyed their Buffalo wings. My brother ordered a 3-slider platter, and the one slider I had was very good. He also got a small salad with it, which looked fine and he liked. I wasn't in the mood to spoil my beer with salad that night. The bartender was very nice, smart, and friendly. She was also apologetic about the guy who wanted to start a fight... A short version of the Mr. New Jersey stereotype was a couple of seats away, hanging out with his friends, one guy and one girl. They seemed to have been there a while and not in great shape at that point. I didn't pay much attention to them until I heard him commenting disparagingly about my little glasses of beer. He kept blabbing loudly enough for me to hear him, so after he couldn't stop obsessing about a guy ordering little glasses of beer, I turned and looked at him without saying anything. I thought he might just turn away and keep talking to himself instead of acting like an a-hull. Instead, he imediately raised his voice and started ranting, "What are you looking at?! Stop Looking at me?!" Then my brother, who was as surprised as I was, said, "Are you talking to us?" The guy continued ranting. My brother and I turned away. This guy then starts muttering about how he wants to hit someone. His friends essentially dragged him out then and they all left, but not before he slammed the bar loudly. My brother, the bartender, and I joked tongue-in-cheek about the type of crowd this place attracts. I'm guessing this sort of incident was pretty unusual. I actually had a great time and would definitely go back next time I'm in central NJ. read more
