I've been here and the Basking Ridge location several times, always good. NOT this time. Server was nice but slow & hard to find. Was with my wife & aunt for lunch.They both got the grilled veggie platter, their favorite. The portion was smaller than before, most notably the goat cheese. It was less than half the size it was on previous visits, also at lunch. Veggies were good though. I had the fish & chips for the 2nd time. Fish & seasoned fries were very good LAST time. This time the fries weren't seasoned other than the salt I put on them and were somewhat mushy like they spent time under a heat lamp. Fish was mostly breading and flavorless. Like they went straight from the freezer to the deep fryer. We'll go back to the Basking Ridge location but will skip this place. read more

Poorest service I've had in a long time. Went on St Pat's Day and our party of 8 was seated with other large groups in a back room. Ordered appetizers and drinks, and a burger. 2 1/2 hours later we had gotten our drinks and entrees, told them to forget the appetizers that had gotten lost somewhere, and asked for the bill. They offered free dessert, which we requested 'to go'. Another 30 minutes went by while they packed the desserts so we just left them behind. The apparent manager wasn't helping anyone--just sort of standing and observing. I feel sorry for the wait staff--something was very poorly run there. read more

The ALWAYS make a mistake with delivery and take o ut items- they simply don't care whether they get the order correct - always wrong food or wrong salad dressing. They nearly always claim to be "out of bread" in the take out area. Can't imagine paying to dine with this central jersey mediocrity. Berkeley Hts location is ever so slightly less pathetic. But the Bedminster restaurant is just wasted retail space with an extremely poorly managed staff. Just hoping this business fails and they sell to someone who actually cares a tiny bit about good food and reasonable service. The problem in NJ is lack of liquor licenses (1 per 4000 residents or something like that) and these buffoons have somehow got a hold of this one. Went on a Tuesday night before a meeting. Sat at the bar, ordered a glass of iced tea, the mushroom soup and the house salad. The bartender kept my iced tea filled the soup was fresh and tasty. The salad was much bigger then I expected and had a variety of veggies. Overall, good experience. read more

Waiting over 1-1/2hours for a table for four(4) is completely unreasonable. They don't take reservations at ALL? Was told that it will inconvenience the wait staff if reserved tables don't show up. Who pays the bills - the wait staff or the patrons??? The food was good but there were many unhappy people waiting. This was unfair to the staff at the front desk having to weather the angry people waiting. You need to reconsider reservations. Allow a 15 minute window on reservations and everyone will be happy. Saturday lunch-The food was ok and didn't seem overly priced for the area. Although I didn't spend time at the bar I did notice a very good selection of beers. I thought the very dark atmosphere was odd for mid day dining especially since it was so beautiful out. We had a party of about 10 just before noon and we were basically the only ones there. To the agreement of everyone at my end of the table, I opened two shades to allow some sunlight in. Within minutes the manager was at our table and politely informed me that the owners like to keep the place dark and to please close the shades. That was weird. read more

We live down the street so Delicious Heights is where we go for Date Night and night when we are just to tired to cook. Usually we have a real nice time however tonight was a complete disaster. We took the kids and ourselves out for dinner. Our server, Mr. Joe D. started out the evening by making me feel that there was something wrong with me because I do not consume animal products. I've been there before and I have enjoyed myself so the fact that this guy would say something like "this is a carnivores place" was news to me. My husband could instantaneously read that I was unhappy with the way that Mr. D was speaking to me. We usually have cocktails however my husband had to drive his daughter back home so we all opted for waters with lemon. Mr. D didn't seem happy about that and asked us if we were ready to order or if we needed another minute at which time I told him we were however he heard otherwise because he left without taking it. Five minutes goes by and he comes back to take the order. The rice balls for an appetizer, the Asian Tacos, as a entree, for my husband, the Portabella Mushroom Sandwich (minus the cheese) for me, mashed potatoes for my daughter and the kids grilled cheese for my stepdaughter. Our appetizer came out about 5 minutes later however we waited 35 minutes for our food to come out. The server never once came to ask us if we needed anything else. Did not offer us bread and nor did he come by to apologize for the wait. Ahhhh, finally the food gets out and the runner does not know to whom which dish belongs. I had thoughts of Applebee's or TGIFridays! And low and behold the Tacos are ice cold and so is the rice that they are served on. My sandwich is also cold (later on the girl that they have made a manager, tells me that it is supposed to be cold however it is topped with onion rings and I know that they are gross when they are cold. Also my husband has had the sandwich before at Delicious Heights and he tells me that he had it hot.) The Grilled Cheese is lukewarm however the mashed potatoes are hot. Our server never comes by to see how the meal is so we got the attention of a runner and he took our entrees back to the kitchen. Five minutes later our server, Mr. Joe D., with someone else's bread basket in hand stops by to tell us that our food will be back to us in just a "minute". Another five minutes goes by and the girl that they have managing comes by to tell us that she apologizes for the issue and offers us free dessert. I explain that we don't want dessert, we just want our food. Another 5 minutes goes by and our server casually stops by to say that he is sorry that the "kitchen" messed up and that they are remaking our entrees. He asks us if he can get us anything else and my husband tell him that we need more water. He never comes back with the water! I am so mad at this time all I want to do is find the one owner that I know (Dominic) and have had a nice conversation with and tell him that this one waiter has ruined his restaurant for us. Now we are 50 plus minutes into our meal and we have not eaten it. The entrees are brought back by the manager and at this juncture is when she tells me that the sandwich is served cold. We ask her to get us some more water and it is brought to us immediately. I am so angry that I inhale my sandwich, my husband does the same. Our kids ate their food while we waited for ours to be made properly so nothing is stopping us from getting the check but the server who again never comes to see how we are doing. I stop another server and ask him to get us a check. My husband asks me what I want to leave Mr. Joe D as a TIP and I say "NOTHING!" The server is responsible for making us feel welcome, for taking our order in a timely manner, for making sure that the food that we have ordered gets to the right people, that the food is the correct temperature and for checking on our all around eating experience. That is why he makes gratuity. Why would I pay someone for doing a lousy job and for ruining my night! I wouldn't and so I didn't. All I can say is that it will be a while before we go back, if we go at all. The owners really need to crack down on their staff because their employees will ruin the good thing that these guys have put together in a town that has 1 or 2 good restaurants. Service here was good and I attended this place with my grandmother who can't have gluten and are Waiter was kind enough to double check that her meal was safe to eat. I will say that it was a little loud with TV's, music, people talking, a bar, and all kinds of stuff. One thing that I just loved was they made their own homemade ketchup which was AMAZING! This place is dark, noisy and uncomfortable. The dinning room is surrounded with TVs with volume on; additionally, music is playing. Booth seating is positioned so close that you cannot lift your hands up from your lap without moving sideways to clear the table. Menus are oversized, lighted and heavy; the table is not large enough to accommodate 4 menus, consequently glasses get knocked over. The waiter insisted on referring to patrons as "you guys" even after I reminded him I was a lady and expected to be address as such. The food was not bad, but I had a raging headache at the end of the meal and did not care for the atmosphere at all. Never again. read more

All the food was delicious starting from the bread down to the most am axing dessert I have ever eaten. Who'd think Rice Krispie French Toast would be the most amazing food ever eaten? Came here for lunch with my significant other. We have instituted Wednesday Lunch days. Frees me up from having to cook dinner if we eat late enough. From the outside it looks pretty nice. The inside was dark with a pub like atmosphere. We were seated immediately and passed through the bar area which looked very interesting. There seemed to be 2 bars but one (according to my sig other) was meant for the dining room orders. Not sure about this. Anyhow he ordered the filet mignon sandwich wit goat cheese and grilled onions. He loved it. I order onion soup and the appetizer version of a half rack of ribs and sweet potato fries. This was plenty and I had leftovers. I am pretty picky about onion soup and found that this one was really good. Normally they make it too salty but this one was perfect (for me at least). We both agreed that this place is a keeper. And yes it is wonderful that the menus light up when they are opened. You can read the menu without problems. read more

Do NOT come here for drinks! The 'Sandy Relief' tasted like a cheap mixed drink with a splash of pepto bismol and although our waiter was very accommodating to help get it fixed, we had it sent back twice and then gave up altogether. My friend and I shared the calamari (tasty but nothing to rave about) and each got burgers (again, nothing special) so overall it was a disappointing meal. My girlfriend and I stopped here for dinner after a day off shopping in Flemington Outlets. LIndsay C was our server and very knowledgable on the menu and bar offerings. One of the cool things about the drink menu it's backlit. We started out with soup (seasonal and french onion). Being from Berkeley Heights, I knew that Delicious Heights food is nothing special. I've had various dishes over the years and nothing about them were impressive. With this in mind I was in the Bedminster area and asked to join some friends at this Delicious Heights. Great ambiance, pretty much the only reason why I rated with two stars. It was late, around 915pm and the restaurant part was pretty empty. Not only did the food take a long time to come out, the hamburger buns were stale and my blackened chicken wrap had one skinny piece of chicken in it. Two people got burgers and I know they lightly toast the buns, but these were straight up stale. Delicious Heights seriously needs to step up their food game for the bullsh*t prices they have. Go for the bar scene, not the food. read more

When this restaurant first opened they had great chefs and an amazing menu. Unfortunately the main menu has not changed in two years, every time we have take out the order is wrong, and the quality of the food is no where close to the extremely high price they charge for it. For a salmon dinner with pasta, guacamole and a Guinness the tab was $80. Wish the owner would be more involved as they were in the beginning. It's the only restaurant in the area that delivers so we're forced to order but thank god we are moving soon! read more

We asked the hostess, the waiter and the manager to lower the volume. All stated that the music was pre-set and could not be changed or lowered. We screamed our way through lunch. The two star description fits it perfectly, "Meh. I've experienced better." It is not the first restaurant in the Bedminster area that I would recommend, but it has it's ups and downs. I'll start with the positives. The bar and service bar are phenomenal. The bartenders are efficient and friendly and really are the most elite staff members in the entire restaurant. There is a wide variety of beers on tap and a nice wine selection as well. Great place to get some friends together to go watch a big sporting event, and an equally great place for ladies night. 4 out of 5 stars for the bar. Now for the restaurant, unfortunately the negatives outweigh the positives although there are a few. The atmosphere is very trendy and cool, and yes; the light-up menu is a very entertaining surprise the first time you go. Unfortunately for Delicious Heights, atmosphere and perks are not what constitutes a restaurant's overall quality. The service is average. Some waiters are obviously experienced and know how to cater to a customer, while others simply go through the motions. That is the case of many restaurants though, and is not what makes Delicious Heights particularly sub-par. Their downfall is their food, and more importantly; the prices. The food is hit or miss. Some dishes (particularly burgers, steaks, pastas, and desserts) may in fact be "delicious," but other dishes (sandwiches, salads, meatloaf, seafood) are below average and frankly disappointing. Regardless of whether or not the food is good though, your wallet is going to be significantly lighter when you leave. You will pay $12 for a (large) strawberry arugula salad that has a total of 2 strawberries in it, or $16 for a panko crusted shrimp salad that has only 4 small shrimp. And whatever you do, avoid the Parmesan Risotto Ball appetizer. You will be paying $9 for several uncomfortable trips to the bathroom in the days following (a problem that several friends of mine have also encountered from other items on the menu). I could give more details on other items, but the overall picture is you will be paying too much money for food that's quality is not worth its price. Yes, you may find that some items on the menu are worth the price you pay for it, but there are far too many dishes that could easily be found at a diner or roadside beach shack for half of Delicious Heights's price. The range of the cuisines on their menu shows that they do not lack creativity, but their burgers and steaks are really the only reliable items on the extensive menu. 2 out of 5 stars for being a great sports bar and having a few good dishes, but they lack the quality of other similarly priced restaurants. read more

We recently had dinner at Delicious Heights and were unhappy and disappointed with all the changes to the menu. Our two favorite entries were eliminated, Shephards pie and Chicken Francaise. We couldn't decide on the new menu so we played it safe with a burger. Our servor Joe S seemed annoyed that we did not appreciate the new menu. Terrible meal Saturday night. Haven't been there in a year and was disappointed to find the menu missing my favorite dish - the ground tuna burger. Server said it was discontinued because "no one likes fish sandwiches". Light up menus are gone, service was shoddy & the lobster mac n cheese side ($14.00) (my meal) SUCKED. It was dry as a bone and bland. Sent it back for more "cheese" sauce and looks like they dumped milk on it & zapped it in the micro. Chintzy on the lobster, of course. Some random guy redelivers the lobster mac & our server never came back to check. My husband's med rare burger was rare, but he ate it anyway since no one was around. I had two small bites of the lobster mac & just could not. Server cleared away our dishes, and knowing the problem with mine did not make one comment on the fact that my plate was untouched, i.e. food was still crappy. Bar is pretty nice, but will NEVER eat there again. I used to work next door and was there for lunch at least once a week. Seriously declined. read more

I like DH...I have a gone a few times. The first couple of times, I wasnt that impressed, however, I definitely like it now and would recommend it. It has a great bar area and atmosphere very energetic...my husband likes all of the beer options they have. We just went last night and had the special french fry starter with cheese/bacon, etc, and it was really good. I also got their broccoli cheddar soup which I really liked. My husband got the french dip sandwich which was also a special and he really liked it. I got the balsamic chicken salad which was awesome - the chicken is in this balsmic reduction and its SO tasty and the salad has mozzarella, walnuts, cranberries and roasted red peppers. I get this salad all the time for takeout and its really good. Even though I wasnt that impressed with DH my first couple of trips, I really do like it now and will go often since I live very close! read more

What happened to this place? I went to the Bedminster location December 21 for dinner along with three friends. This is the first time that I had been to DH in a couple of months. One friend warned me that based on his last experience the food and quality had decreased substantially, but I thought maybe he and his Wife went on a bad night. We arrived and sat in the bar area where we ordered drinks. One drink came out immediately and the remaining drinks took a few minutes. Two salads were ordered with hardly any dressing. We were going to request additional dressing, but could not locate our server. I ordered ribs which came out burned and cold. I ordered mashed potatoes and coleslaw as the two sides. The potatoes were served in a round container. Not sure how long they had been in the container, because there was a crust around the edges, on the top and were cold. The coleslaw was fine, since it should have been served cold. One person in the party ordered a pasta dish which was served cold. He only ate half the dish and stated that he could not tolerate anymore. Another person ordered pasta with chicken. Cold again and only finished half the meal. The remaining person ordered a chicken sandwich, which was also cold and she could not finish. One desert was ordered. The menu explained it as a warm brownie with vanilla ice cream. Again, the brownie was cold and this time sent back. The server returned a couple of minutes later, with it slightly warmer, but not enough to melt the ice cream. Not sure of the Manager's responsibility, but during our time in the restaurant he only moved between the main bar and the greeter's station, while only speaking with employees at those stations. read more
