Went in with a rainbow pride jacket after going to a Montpelier's Pride event, I'm a 43 year old, I picked up a bag of candy to look at and was told I'm not allowed to touch anything. She said, "I tell all the kids that too." Ma'am, clearly you don't like queer folks. She tried to tell me it was because of Covid, which I said was 4 years ago. (I'm also a nurse and we don't even wear masks in the hospital anymore). I was ready to spend money for their overpriced candy from China but I set down what I had in my hand because she was rude and then I left, I won't be back. Bought some Easter packages for curbside pickup and they are ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. I love that they used paper Easter grass in the baskets, too. I can't wait to tax the children in the morning. read more

My boyfriend and I stopped in here recently for the first time and we weren't overly impressed. This store is painfully tiny. I felt awkward with my boyfriend and two other customers in the space, like we were uncomfortably sharing an elevator. I did like their self-serve selection of Jelly Belly's, though. Lots of chocolate and choices. I thought it'd be better quality for the price. It was good but not wow good and I felt like it was way overpriced. The woman behind the counter was very helpful. The selection looked awesome but honestly, out of the 6 or 7 pieces we bought, we only liked one of them and the rest were pretty mediocre. read more

This is a great little old school candy store. Penny candy type setup. Especially good for variety and if you want to bring in a group of kids (or adults!) for a fun little adventure. read more

A newbie to the state street storefronts. I'm reserving some judgement for a later date when the store has matured. Currently their biggest asset is the Lake Champlain truffle counter. Other than that the chocolate and candy selection is a bit rote and could use a better eye for the exotic. Costly bulk items and a pretty standard selection don't really make this a place I would go out of my way to go to yet... and there are only so many times a year I pony up the cash for a Lake Champlain truffle. Like "gummy bears"??? Odor auf Deutsch - gummi Bärchin??? You'll this place! Stopped in today to see if they had them. Sure enough - and in bulk! Purchased just a little, just in case they were those hard, tasteless things - and oh, my! Will be back for a much larger bag - on regular occasions. So fresh! So delightful! The pineapple - my favorite of the bunch - was fruity. They are soft.. Ich liebe gummi Bärchin! Who cares about the store size, which gives it that "quaint" true candy shop ambiance. This is a must-stop for tourists and locals alike. Don't be put off by the size, Delish is packed with goodies, plenty of it local. The owners and employees are eternally helpful and cheerful. The chocolate covered coffee beans are an addiction unto themselves. read more

I really like the concept of the store, but the clerk charged me for a gummy that accidentally fell onto the floor (by placing it on the scale with my bag) due to the cheap plastic tongs provided. I think this is the cost of doing business and a little gross. read more

This is a very small place near State and Main. Kind of near the angular red dog of the next door small store, The Quirky Pet (which is also a cool place). Stores like this need to exist to show young people what really candy is like... and what a real family owned candy store is like. read more
