This is a busy place and pastries sold out quickly. I would own a shop like this but not a place to hang for a while. The window seats are nice though to people watch. The price is reasonable actually for the town and locals running into local is very common. I tried my croissant and it's not very crispy as I wanted. I would want it freakier. Coffee is very good though. If you want an afternoon pick me up, definitely go for one. Ambiance isn't my vibe but for a quick stop yes. It's a good place for parents with their ikea like decorating. Chairs and table are basic. Service is very friendly.

I am not local to Montpelier (or even the East Coast) but this bakery makes me wish I was. I am not exaggerating when I say that their thyme and gruyere danish changed my life. I also had the pleasure of chatting with the owner, learning more about what makes their danishes special, and taking a peek into their kitchen; I was impressed by the baking operation as much as the owner's story. The quality of the coffee was also noteworthy. I can't remember who they source their beans from but it was delicious either way. Such a cute space in such a beautiful town! I hope I get a chance to go back :)

Perched overlooking Montpelier's iconic State and Main intersection, Bohemian has one of the best locations in town. Popping in for lunch, however, I was disappointed to find very meager savory offerings. That said, their egg salad on focaccia was incredibly tasty and hit the spot. The maple latte was decent. Not the best I've had, but they nailed the requisite toasted marshmallow taste that I love about this singular Vermont cafe specialty. The decor seems a bit sterile. The aesthetic feels Scandinavian inspired with understated tones and minimal accoutrements, and could use some warming elements to make it feel less like a canteen and more like a cozy nest.

    Servers, line.

Good selection of breakfast food, unlimited coffee refills, good chai. Good service, nice atmosphere. Hard for servers to hear us, only drawback.

Bakery was great, everything we ate was tip top. They were closing, didn't realize that, so our coffee was a bit rushed. Will have to come back as our coffee wasn't anything special.

Great bakery items and sandwiches but they close at 1. Coffee & teas are also served. Cute corner location too.

This is not the best coffee shop in town, staff/owner seems rude and preoccupied. Birchgrove is way better.

It was *packed* and there was a "regulated" frenzy lining up to get thy brew and chew. Counting seconds, minutes, and "hours" (just kidding, it moved fast), chatting up everyone and anyone when you've got absolutely nothing to do until it was your turn to find saving grace from one of the grinders spewing life changing atoms of goodness. Everyone was respectful no matter how groggy they looked. And it all made sense when I got to the pivot in the line. There was a sign that sublimely declared all Karens to keep their best behavior or simply be thrown out. I couldn't for the life of me contain my laughter. I was joined by the few I had already bantered with the last 15 minutes. They, as locals, told me that the establishment protected their employees and would gladly enforce that particular placard any day. GOOD. We don't want them around here anyways. It's already a miracle that someone, or anyone, is willing to wake up more than a few hours earlier to serve anyone barely waking up to their senses. It's a privilege to be here and I can't help but be thankful and appreciate the hardworking folks in the service industry. Thank you. Salute.

Ordered a simple latte with oat and maple flavor. Usually a latte either has too much milk, too sweet, or plain. This one amazed me. Honestly never had the perfect ratio of milk to coffee. The server was observed with another patron explaining his recommendation which made me definitely trust him and his level of expertise ~ they seem to offer tours and tasting but it seems like for the summer months, it's mostly mid week. Maybe a new schedule is pending weekends in fall/winter seasons? great pick me up for the rest of day activities ~ prompt service, quick and kind. There is parking in the back area. We parked and went inside. It's a nice space with some wooden counter and chairs with large window bringing in sunlights. We went to the counter and placed our order. They offer coffee as well as tea and some original drinks as well. I got an iced latte with maple syrup. Ice latte was pretty good. Good coffee flavor with hint of creaminess of milk and maple syrup sweetness. It was a lovely drink. They also sell some coffee beans and blend as well. We were able to but they offer tours and some classes as well if you are interested in coffee and its fabrication and roasting process. Service was good and quick. Bunch of younger people were working and seems like some were being trained. Overall it's a solid coffee shop. It's on the pricier side but they are good coffee and seem to be knowledgeable.
