I have always been a big fan of Dellaria and have been going for years. Unfortunately, when the Natick salon moved from the Natick Mall to the Christmas Tree mall, the rent must have skyrocketed. (Not sure why, since the new location is in a much smaller, outdoor mall.) In the past they charged me $80 for a perm. Today I was billed $139. Yes, in their new location the perm now costs $59 MORE, or an increase of about 40%. For that type of increase we should be getting champagne in gold goblets. Sad. read more

I have a big family which includes a crazy schedule day to day but every time I call they find a spot for me. If something gets canceled or moved they call with other options too! I also have a teenage son who is now super picky about his hair so I started bringing him here too. He leaves with a smile on his face every time. As an African American woman whose recently moved to the MetroWest area I've found it difficult to find a salon that can properly style and care for my hair. This, I did not find in Salon Dellaria. I randomly decided to walk into this salon which is located inside the Natick Collection and was assigned to Maria, the stylist. I was attended to rather quickly, but the rest was downhill from there. From the beginning I explained to her that I wanted my hair washed, blow dried, and styled and that I had a picture of what I wanted. She said that she would try her best, yet she did not once even ask to see the picture that I had in hand... While washing my hair I requested that I sit under the dryer for a few minutes before she started blow drying my hair (this is something that I routinely get done-to minimize the amount of time spent blow drying my hair). She scoffed at this request and actually managed to convince me that she didn't need to do this. So started the round brush/blow drying process which took alot longer than it normally should. She did a decent job with the blow dryer--but it was way more heat on my hair than I anticipated. When finished she proceeded to compliment herself and my hair and let me know that she did not like my hair in its natural, curly state-as if I'd even asked her..... But there's more. I'd asked for a curls with a ceramic iron. She then admitted that she did not know how to do these and so I consented to her using a regular curling iron. She begins curling and the spray can hisses away. I ask her to use the hair spray on my hair sparingly and she gets a mini-attitude telling me that its not hair spray and that my hair doesn't need hair spray and that this is a heat protectant used to "seal the cuticle". Specifically, "if you don't want me to use a heat protectant than I won't". Whatever it was... I could smell the alcohol in the product. Overall, I'm not pleased. My hair feels extremely dry, unhealthy, and 'crispy'. Maria was over confident and really failed to connect with me as a customer. As a hair stylist I found that she wasn't extremely knowledgeable or really even open to hearing what I wanted and she was actually really rough when handling my hair. For all you curly headed people out there looking for a salon that's about hair CARE and not just a cutesy, spritz and go style for a day....go at your own risk......... read more

After having a horrible experience and horrible haircut at a different Dellaria Salon in Newton Centre, I was recommended by a co-worker to go see Courtney at the Dellaria salon near JCPenny in Natick Mall. Courtney and I sat down and talked about my bad experience just yesterday at the other location in Newton and she was so very understanding and reassured me that she will do everything she can to fix it. Courtney explained each step and what she had to do in order to fix my hair. She did an amazing job! not only did she fix my hair but the salon assured me I would not pay for this appointment. I have been going to Dellaria Hair Salon in Natick for over 2 years. My stylist is Wayne and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE my haircut and color that he consistenly performs every time I am in. He has been with Dellaria forever and the two days that he is in Natick, I am always seen by him, even if I have to change my original date to another date. He will make the time. He is extremely knowledgeable in his craft and I assume that he is one of their Lead/Premiere stylists, but what is one of the qualities that I adore about him is he does not give off that air of arrogance that so often goes with having that status. He is always honest with me if I show him an idea of color or hairstyle if it will be a good thing or not. He is upfront and truthful, regardless of whether it will cost more for me or not. He does what is best for my kind of hair and also he knows that cost is a concern of mine and informs me that if I do such and such, it will be more and may not be your best option. I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone because he knows his art and skill set, but is the nicest and sweetest gentleman too. I can also applaud the front desk staff and the assistants to Wayne. Everyone is SO friendly and so accommodating. I work in the industry as well and customer service is critical and the staff at Dellaria are wonderful! From the time you walk in to when you leave after making your next appointments, there is zero attitude. Many salons I have been to, as soon as you walk in, there is attitude and it just leaves a bad taste in your mouth. You will not find that at all at Dellaria! read more

It was my first time in Natick Dellaria, as I didn't want to drive all the way to Boston. I wanted a hair cut ASAP. So I called in on an early Saturday morning and same day I got an appointment in the afternoon [which was great!!] The receptionist was very nice and asked me all kind of questions regarding my hair texture and stuff like that. She also told me the price range that they offer and if I had a preference [I thought it was good that she asked, coz I didn't want to walk out paying $100 for just a hair cut]. She booked my appointment with "Kellyn". She is abslutely adorable and did a great job. I love my hair cut. She listened to what I wanted and then gave her input. Most importantly, she didn't try to sell me any product...yay!! Infact she said its good if you don't use much products on your hair!! Never going back. I have been to Dellaria in the past and have generally had okay experiences. I wanted to like the dye job, because the hairdresser was nice, but I'm rating her hair coloring skills, not personality. Process: I am on the way to going a lighter ash/platinum blonde color. I came in with light blond full foil highlights. 1.) It took 3 hours to highlight my hair. I had the exact same done to my hair at another salon, and it took significantly less time to achieve a superior look.... 2.) Essentially, my hair looks exactly the same as when I went into the salon. The hairdresser even commented at one point that it looked like she hadn't done anything. I had asked for her to make my hair "white" blond and showed her numerous pictures. She didn't comment on them really. At the end of the cut, she kept mentioning how it would not be healthy to go much lighter right away. Why hadn't she mentioned how far off her results would be initially? 3.) She asked me if I wanted her to blow dry my hair all the way or just to see the color. I said the second, assuming that some sort of fee for blow drying my hair would be taken off. Nope. 4.) Instead of a hair cap, a trash-bag was used on me. Really? They were also out of some conditioner. I didn't complain much at the salon hoping that my hair would look better in the lighting at my home, but there wasn't any difference. I am extremely disappointed. I'll be honest, I'm not a frequent customer and only occasionally visit Dellaria's other locations in Boston. However, I still expect decent service, considering (I've been told) I have extremely easy hair to cut and style. I handed the stylist a picture of a simple, shoulder length hair cut with side bangs and asked for the exact cut or as close as possible. I walked out with a bob that comes above my CHIN. I don't normally make a fuss about a less than perfect haircut, but this is just embarrassingly bad. It's nothing close to what I asked for, and when I questioned how much hair was being cut off mid-cut, I was completely dismissed. I have continuously heard horror stories of other peoples' experiences at Dellarias in Natick, but I cannot say I have had the same experiences. I have always requested Jackie and I have typically always been there for highlights (partial, full, color correct, haircuts, etc.). I have actually also had to go to her for the 1 or 2 times I tried going else where just to save a little and got my hair completely botched. She has given me advice on how to care for my hair (she introduced me to MoroccanOil which has done wonders for me!), she was never judgmental of me or my requests and I just feel like she is so humble in comparison to some of the other hairdressers there. Granted I have not been there in about a year maybe less, but I had to give credit where it is due. Ask for Jackie, regardless of the price and you won't regret it. read more

I came to get a balayage/ombre look since I found a hairdresser from here on Instagram and her work seemed really awesome. I had faith that my hair would come out the way I had hoped, but it was so poorly done- dye spots were on my forehead & the back of my neck, my hair BARELY lifted (when I was promised it would be the color that I had shown her), and the blow-dry job was rushed. As she began blow-drying my hair, another client of hers came in, meaning she overbooked and had to rush through my hair... It was a mess. I complained later in the day and was offered a re-do session with Vanessa. When I came back, she and who I'm assuming was the manager listened to me and tried to work something out with me. Vanessa ended up fixing my hair to my liking and I love the color now. The blow-dry job was better, but still not that great. I ended up having to pay for the blow-dry but not the re-do coloring, which I found unfair. I'm honestly grateful and glad that they fixed the color and wanted to make sure I was happy, but the customer service here seems insincere at times. It felt like everyone thought I was unsatisfied because I'm picky, rather than being unsatisfied because I was actually unappreciated as a client. I was staying at the Crown Plaza across the street from the mall and I needed a haircut. I chose Dellaria's because they offered Master Stylists so I figured a master stylist would be able to TRIM my hair. Well - she chopped my hair - horribly. She took about 3 inches off and gave me the worst layers ever. I can't even get my hair re-cut right now because they layers are so bad. I paid $60 for a TRIM and it was the worst TRIM EVER. Very dirty, poor service & great difficulty communicating with the receptionist. Took my daughter for a trim once & was very pleased with the outcome. Rescheduled & had to bump up the appointment due to a time constraint & asked for anyone that was available. After great difficulty we were able make the appointment earlier. I would've been just as pleased if she said it wasn't possible today however it was quite the runaround with a lack of answers to any of my questions. Due to being pressed for time we elected to skip the wash & just do a quick trim. The gentleman was very nice but didn't shape her hair at all, just cut it straight across. At this point I just wanted to be done. I check out & was charged $10 more (significant for a child's cut) than her previous visit that was a better cut, included layers and angling & a wash. Evidently this gentleman was a senior stylist but with sub par work? We won't be going back. A shame as the location has great potential. I have been going to this salon for almost two years. Started going their just for a cut and tried color and now hair extensions. I have always received the best cut and for color we try different shades (my choice). My cut and color always look perfect. I have always wanted longer thicker hair (mine is very fine and shoulder length. It was recommended to try the extensions. They have the best prices (everywhere else wanted $1,000 or more and a monthly maintenance fee). They were guaranteed to last for 3 months. They actually lasted for over 4 months. Their extension prices are very reasonable and the quality is superb. Real human hair and you take care of it just like your own hair. Easy to do it just takes longer to dry but that is because my hair is almost to my waist. The extensions improved the quality of my hair and my own hair grew more than 3 inches in 2 months. That has NEVER happened beofre. If you are looking for hair extensions and want to give it a try - call Courtney she is the best! read more

I am SO UPSET. I cried in the car after coming from Dellaria in Natick Mall. They kept me waiting there for oh my lord 3 WHOLE HOURS. and they did not do a SINGLE THING. they lied about prices too. I wanted my hair done before a HUGE business trip of mine. This appointment today is the day before my flight. I cried because they wasted my actual time to get ready for my huge international business flight and cheated me about the price. They reeled me in saying my long hair would only cost $200 AND THEY ENDED AT $380 3 hours later and STILL nobody had even touched my hair. I am still crying now. This review is for the stylist Ana. Holy moly, I haven't been to someone with such "bad hands" in a while... I was a new client and I am never going back to her. I haven't had my hair done in a while, so I showed her photos of myself from before, when I liked my cut and color. Well, she did a good job on the resulting style... but stabbed my head more than once with the scissors. Seriously. Then, I have short hair, and as she is about to buzz my nape, I pointed out that I have a raised birthmark she needs to be careful about there... and she cut it and made me bleed. I wanted partial foil red highlights, and she turned my entire head the color of a fire truck. I asked her to fix it, and she did tone it down to "mahogany" -- still a bright purple-ish red -- and NOT highlights, still my whole head, but I didn't want to ask her to fix it a THIRD time and fry my hair. So now I am walking around with fuschia hair, and I work in a professional environment, where it REALLY stands out. All I'm left with is vigorous daily shampooing, and waiting a little bit before I can find someone to fix this calamity. read more

My haircut experience was awful!!!! I walked in to get a $35.00 dollar haircut and ended up paying $55.00 dollars plus a $10.00 tip which added up to $65.00!!!! I attended Dellaria Salons for the first time this past weekend. I made an appointment for my friend and me for a wash, cut, and blow dry well ahead of time. My friend was originally supposed to go first but the appointments got switched because of "timing issues." My friend has significantly longer hair than mine so I went to the available stylist so that she would have time to make her next appointment. My stylist continued to make comments about how she had only 30 minutes until her next appointment. She sped through my haircut and did not ask me if it was the length or style that I wanted until she was in the middle of drying it. I was fine with the cut at the time but had my appointment been longer, I might have realized that it was not as short as I would have liked it. (I realize that this was partially my fault but I was also pressured not to say anything by my stylist's repeated comments about not having a lot of time.) In total, my appointment took about 20 minutes. I have a deceptively large amount of hair and have never had a hair appointment of similar nature that took less than 45 minutes. I am fairly happy with the way that my hair came out but I could have gotten the same job done at any other salon. The online price for a wash, cut, and blow dry is $40+. I assumed that I would be paying $40 because I only got a trim and do not have especially long hair to begin with. This was a steep price for a college student but I assumed the work done would be worth the money. When I went to the counter they charged me $65 not including tip. With a 20% tip this made my 20 minute appointment $80. I was already disgruntled but became even more frustrated when my friend told me she was charged only $40. We had the same job done but when I asked the receptionist about the difference in price, she explained that my stylist was a "master stylist" and my friend's was a "creative stylist." We were not informed of the status of our stylist or the price difference when we made our appointments online nor were we informed when we walked in. We were not told until after we had gotten our hair done. I hate writing bad reviews but I truly feel that I've been taken advantage of for being young and ignorant of reasonable prices. I also believe the salon should not schedule appointments so close together if the stylist will not have the time to put a proper amount of effort into each client's hair. I learned a valuable lesson but I hope in the future, this salon will be more aware of scheduling conflicts and better inform their clients about prices. read more

Terrible. I went for my wedding hair and makeup trial and they charged me full price after I specifically asked the manager what the charge for a trial was. While she couldn't tell me an exact price she told me that it would be less than the actual price-I was then charged full price. I asked the receptionist and she said she couldn't do anything because the manager wasn't there and there isn't a cost difference in their systems so thats what she had to charge me. I called to complain the next day and even though I was specifically told that I was charged full price the manager then lied to me and said they were going to charge me $25 more for my hair on the actual day but wouldn't due to my complaint (after having to call me back). On top of this all the manager was consistently rude every time I spoke with her. I ended up getting my makeup done elsewhere due to the fact that the makeup artist didn't listen to what i wanted and the makeup they used was junk (even the makeup artist there said it was terrible). If I didn't have the trial done 48 hours before my wedding (my fault!) I would have gone elsewhere but I had my bridesmaids to worry about as well. Also, I had a good idea of what I wanted for my hair and the girl told me she couldn't do it because my hair is to thin/fine (I have incredibly thick long hair-too much work?). My hair luckily came out decent, after having it fixed 3 times but it wasn't what I really wanted. I never write thess reviews but I feel strongly enough that they did such a poor job and the customer service was beyond horrific that I had to put it out there! DON'T GO HERE! read more

Wouldn't bring my dog here to be groomed, and that was just how my daughter was treated at her appointment at Dellaria at the Natick Mall outside Sears. After waiting for a half an hour past her appointment time in a crummy, smelly "waiting area", a stylist called her over and asked me if she needed to wash her hair. Ummm, yes, please. ?? So she sits my daughter in the seat without a booster and just looks at her for a minute completely annoyed. Then she gets a booster that slipped right off the chair when my daughter sat on it. Luckily I was there to catch her. I had to literally hold her up with her neck on the sink so that the "stylist" could drown her with the water. No towel behind her neck, no cape, just water drenching her until I made her stop. She then informed me that was why she didn't want to wash her hair. Fine lady, no worries, I picked up my soaking wet, eyes welling with tears little girl and got the hell out of there. Lesson learned. Never again. I wouldn't have given any stars if that was a choice. read more
