This is a delicious pupusa spot. We were in the mood for pupusas and I found this spot on Yelp. We were super excited to come check it out and fortunately found a parking spot outside on a Sunday at lunchtime. It was pretty packed inside so a server had us wait outside on the porch until a table opened up. Soon after, we were seated and looked through the menu. We decided on two pupusas with a tamale to share. We got one revuelta and one chicharron & queso pupusa. The revuelta was hands down our favorite - the meat was so tender and it was amazingly flavorful. The chicharron & queso was good too but we would probably just get 2 revuelta orders next time. I was not too impressed by the tamale and next time would probably just order a third revuelta instead! Our server was kind and attentive throughout the meal. We mostly spoke in Spanish so would just be aware of that if you visit - would help to be able to place your order in Spanish! The room was moderately sized and good for either bigger or smaller groups. They had some really cute Salvadoran decor. I would certainly come back here when I'm next in Austin! read more

I live in a city that has many great pupuserias, but never have I had so many delicious flavor options. Garlic? Spinach? Jalapeño? I couldn't not try all three, and they were each delicious in their own way. The curtido and salsa were the perfect accompaniment to cut the cheesiness of each pupusa, and to top it all off, they had passion fruit agua! I can't forget the chips and salsa... normally, I don't have any reason to write about either, but the chips were fresh and the salsa was really unique, chunky, mildly spicy, and extremely flavorful. I had to add some on top of my pupusas as well! The service was fantastic - the food and drink came out in a very timely manner, and the server was super friendly, making sure that everything was delicious. The interior was very comfortable with booths, tables, and high tops. I really enjoyed Delmy's, and as it was my last stop before leaving Austin, I arrived home in Florida still full and with good memories of a final meal! read more

Casual restaurant, we went with about 10 friends after a brewery get together. Our server was so patient while taking orders and delivering our food, with the large group of people too. I enjoyed the food tremendously! They have great pupusas. I personally loved the garlic pupusa. They also have great chips and salsa. We also got a Michelada, which was delicious. Holy pupusa!! I called in an order and arrived to a fully packed place I knew it was going to be good. I ordered 3 pupusas and they were phenomenal! The mixed one is my favorite. It's the Perfect blend of cheese, beans, and pork. The crudito they give is fantastic and the salsa is delicious as well. They were served piping hot and ready to devour and I did just that. I ordered Delmy's Pupuseria for the first time and let me tell you, the plantains were A-mazing. So delicious. The Pupusas are also very good. I got the Chicharrón and cheese pupusa which is pork (with cheese) and they were soft, cheesy and delightful. I got the lunch special that comes with two pupusas, steak, some sort of cabbage slaw and an egg for a discounted price. The egg was cooked just how I like it- over easy. The steak I could do without, it was a bit rubbery. So definitely go for the pupusas and plantains. The empanadas were also very good. It was Chicken and potato empanadas and very yum. So if you go, just skip the steak and go for the pupusas, empanadas and plantains. I got this all for a discounted price which was fantastic and so much food for such a bargain price. We ordered a Revueltos (mix of pork, beans & cheese), a bean & cheese, and a loroco & cheese. The cheese is like a oaxacan-style white melty queso, the pupusas well browned but not crisp, and the fillings were well mixed and tasty, especially dipped in the salsa... which was fresh and mild (kiddo appreciated that). We were excited to try this place due to the glowing reviews and a Pupusa craving we had. The restaurant is really cute and looks to have good ambiance but the service for us was lacking. The place wasn't busy as when we arrived there was only two tables occupied. When we arrived, we were told to sit anywhere we wanted, so we chose a booth. After that no one bothered to look our way. We waited patiently for about 5 minutes and still nothing. Some people went in and they were attended immediately. We continued to wait patiently. Another group got there for a table and also was attended immediately. At this point we're about 7 minutes in, and starting to get a little annoyed as to why they keep ignoring us. My husband got up and grabbed some menus in hopes we'd get noticed and we were still planning to order. A little after another group got there, they were attended immediately and still no one bothered to look our way. At this point we were waiting for at least 10 minutes and figured it just wasn't going to happen so politely left. This is really a bummer because we were looking forward to trying these Pupusas. It seems like they have pretty good service for others but still puzzled as to why we were never attended. I really hope they can address this issue. read more

We order from Delmys pretty often. We typically order the pupusa box which comes with 15 pupusas for $40 which we find is very reasonable. We have also had their platanos con crema, and yuca fritas con chicharron. Everything we have tried has been super tasty and FRESH! So I really like the food and cleanliness of this restaurant. My first Dine in experience with coworkers was great! 5 Stars. Today I went and made an order to-go and the lady that took my order not only didn't bother to welcome me to their restaurant but she remained seated and was eating while taking my order. I still didn't let that bother me because I was looking forward to getting an order of their empanadas de pollo. I repeated my order to her and stressed that I wanted empanadas de pollo. Well i guess i'm partly to blame because I didn't check the order to go before I left. I got home and when I open the food-tray the order was wrong. She gave me empanadas de plátano, which is a dessert and did not go for dessert. I did order 2 pupusas which I got. So half the order was correct. She didn't bother to go over the order once she handed over to me either. I was pretty bummed that I didn't get the food I went there in first place to get. It made me lose interest in going back. 3 Stars for food I got. 0 for customer service. read more
