Because of all the moves which led to owning a lot of different bikes, I also worked with numerous motorcycle mechanics. (New York, Chicago, Denver, San Francisco, and back to the Denver area.....Boulder, then Aspen (where I should have bought property and stayed), back to NY, Chicago again, Las Vegas, Florida, back to Las Vegas, and now back in Florida (no plans on moving anytime soon) - but all those moves led to owning quite a few motorcycles. Which meant working with a lot of different MC mechanics. Of all the mechanics I've had work on all those bikes, Marco was far and away the best MC guy of them all! I'm sorry we had a disagreement (not concerning anything to do with a motorcycle repair...or our business relationship in any way). -- Moving back to Florida this last time and having had some unpleasant words between Marco and myself right before I left the last time, has become a problem (at least for me) - I just bought a "new to me" (old by the calendar) Harley. Too bad that from what I've read, there's a motorcycle shop nearby that only works on Harleys - and, again, from what I've read, is quite expensive. A big issue for me since I'm now retired and living isn't getting any cheaper - especially in this area. I hope that I can make amends with Marco. He's not only the best motorcycle mechanic I've worked with but is a good guy in general. Guess I'll have to try going back to see him - hat in hand - and hope that we can reconnect. I've found that the longer I've been riding, and the more bikes I've owned, having a MORE THAN COMPETENT bike mechanic is as important - maybe more important, than the kind of bike you own..... great work, fair prices, works quickly, and does exactly what he says he will do at the price he'll give you in advance. Despite our (upsetting - at least to me) "difference of opinion" I couldn't possibly give Marco anything less than the 5 stars he deserves! (I just hope this review doesn't contribute TOO much more business for Marco... I think the downside of that is too much business may lead to longer waits for service. I paid Cody $130.00 to come to my house and let me know what was wrong with my bike. He came with a helper and they showed me what needed to be fixed and what the cost would be. I agreed and they were to come back in a few days when they had the parts. I never heard from anyone again. I finally found another mechanic to take care of the bike. I'm sorry to say this, but don't bother with this one. They aren't reputable and they don't care about their customers.

Dropped 883 Sportster at Underground Garage .for oil change …read more Ray said hand break light not working.Brought back Picked up February 12 th ,,paid for oil change hand break lights not working..Didn't charge me then.Ray ,owner was going to Daytona bike week .Had to wait.February 22 dropped off again ,still not fixed.Picked up ,had to ride without rear break light working . Dropped off again March 29 .He kept bike till April 23 .Friday . When I picked up bike ,,,.No Hand break lights .No Foot break lights .No Turn signals and battery dead .He said just ride bike for 45 minutes to charge battery . I said ,Ray ,I can't take bike like this with far more broken than when originally dropped off February . He said come back tomorrow.Saturday.Will have it ready. Came back .No hand break lights,no foot break lights ,no turn signals and speedometer wasn't working .Lastly bike had loss of compression.Missing really bad .I asked him why all these things weren't working .He said everything worked great when I picked up Saturday . Took it to other Harley mechanic first thing Monday morning .then went to Ray ,thinking he'd give me my money back .Again. he said everything worked great . Waiting for repair bill of new mechanic business to correct damage done to my bike.will post diagnostic results . May 28,,Peterson's Harley Davidson charged me $350 to correct electrical system where wires were crossed,ie blew all fuses .Carburetor missing part and had to be rebuilt.$650,all started with oil change at Underground Garage.My bike has always been in top performance. The handlebars were rusting under the grips and the cone spike filter was sun faded. These guys aren't fast talking salesmen . They tell you what you need, and get it done quickly as soon as the parts get in, so you can get back on the road.
