I had the car tires aligned and rotated. There was a noise I heard from the undercarriage and the mechanic fixed it as well. This business is a very fine and reputable one. Gordon and Steele were so welcoming. I had an 8 am appt and was out in less than 2 hours. I wish I could give this amazing business more than 5 stars. Went here a couple of months ago on recommendations from a couple of co-workers because I had a dead battery. They are literally down the street from the office which is very convenient. But they were great all around. Very pleasant and helpful and so fast. I also decided to get an oil change since it was due and even with that my car was ready before lunch! This is EXACTLY the place you want for a mechanic's shop. It's family run. The owner and his wife and son "mind the store". It's got certified master technicians who are trained and certified. They are customer focused. Everything about the place is great. They even have a friendly but protective dog named Buddy. Carl and Andrew are great to work with. They are practical and know that many customers aren't made of money. Their shop is clean, well-lit, and accessible to onlookers from the driveway. I only spoke to one of the other mechanics, Luis, but he was friendly and knowledgeable too, so I am pretty sure these three men know what they can hand off to their other workers. I have confidence that these people know how to manage and repair whatever I bring, and if they can't, they will tell me why -- or why I shouldn't. The office manager "Seely" is very nice. She isn't just a receptionist, either. She proves that this business is full of conscientious and professional people who want to give you a reason to keep using their services. I brought my 2012 VW in for repairs, water pump issues and valve cover gaskets problems. I was quoted a price of over $2,000... I agreed and paid for my repairs. I was told by the owner Andrew, that VW parts were ordered and being used for my car and that I would have a warranty. Throughout the next few months I repeatedly called the shop or brought my car back in for the same problem (my car keeps running hot.) At least once or twice a month the thermostat in my car lights up and I have to stop and wait for the car to cool to put more water in the car to get to my destination. Now I have my fiancée bring the car in for about the 3rd or 4th time and Andrew tells him that, there must be something else wrong with the car and he refuses to fix on it anymore... WHAT. 1.) It's only been a few months that you put the water pump on... 2.) your mechanics have worked on the car multiple times.... 3.) you put the car on the diagnostic machine (and charge me for it to tell me what's wrong 4.) you never mentioned to me that my car had any other problems...5.) you tell me I have a warranty on the parts and your work and NOW you no longer want to fix the problem that I originally came in with. Andrew starts yelling and being rude and disrespectful, because we are asking him to fix the car, he wasn't screaming and upset when it was time for me to come in and pay my bill. (he was nice and pleasant) After you take my money, BUT didn't fix my car properly, now you don't want to go back in to correct the problem because it would cost you to much in labor cost. How is that my problem that you didn't repair the water pump correctly the first time. If your shop wasn't skilled at repairing Volkswagen vehicles AUTOWORKS should have said that and not taken my money. Please keep in mind no one else is working on my car except AUTOWORKS mechanics. I've brought my car in for brake repairs and my oil changes and tune ups and any maintenance that Andrew suggest my car needs. I did this because I like supporting family owned or small businesses, instead of the big companies that already earn plenty of money. My fiancée told him that we were going to take him to court because this is not right for him to just rip me off like this... his reply was "GO AHEAD, YOU WILL BE WAISTING YOUR TIME & MONEY" read more

Had my 1967 Sunbeam Alpine serviced here. The alignment was quickly and well done. My manual transmission had a leak. The mechanics disassembled the transmission and expertly replaced the seal and a leak in the speedometer cable access. The rear suspension was also improved at a good price. I would use them again for any of my cars. read more

When I moved to Delray Beach a year ago and was looking for a reputable mechanic in the area. I read the reviews on a few and decided to take my car to Autoworks. The reviews were so impressive that I was a little skeptical. When I took my car there I met the owner and mentioned to him that I did not have a ride and that I would wait for my vehicle to be ready. I was prepared to wait hours, I really didn't have a choice. Fortunately, the owner offered to give me a ride to my home, which he did. He called me back after a couple of hours and gave me a detailed estimate on the cost. I was pleasantly surprised by how honest he was. I was expecting to pay way more than what he quoted me. He explained what was necessary and what was not. He told me that my car would be ready in an hour. I was so impressed that I've since taken my wife's car and referred my sister in law, and another relative to them. I can not say enough about this place, only that I'm so glad I found them. Autoworks exceeded my expectations. read more

RECKLESS NEGLIGENCE endangered my life when I experienced brake failure the day after these people worked on my truck. They worked on my brakes and claimed they could not fix the problem that I brought it in to them for. Carl and Andrew suggested a specialist in Pompano Beach to look at my 1995 Chevy that I have been restoring. They caused further damage when they reinstalled the front axle incorrectly, front differential had to have some parts replaced. They have been sent photos and a description of problems by my bank, contesting workmanship. Andrew asked why I did not bring my vehicle back to them, reminded him he could not fix brakes and that he advised me to go to another mechanic. And that's what I did. They discount the fact that I am restoring my 4wheel drive Chevy, referring to it as that old truck. I now have a very good mechanic, Deb's Automotive. Although I love Andrew who is honest and caring and his father who is professional, The experience I had today was horrific with Andrew's mother. They have a wonderful benefit in that they drive you to where ever you need and pick u up when car is ready, however, because their master mechanic only works during the week, they offered to drive me to work and then pick me up. Well the experience was just terrible. The mother did not like that she was in traffic, she locked her son Andrew out of the business and was frantic all while she was driving me to my job. She kept dialing her husband who was obviously not answering over and over. She huffed and puffed all the way there and here I was stuck with this crazy woman with no way out. Then she said she would not pick me up just like that. She needs some training in good business practice and that when you promise something to a client you need to follow through. Thank God I have a great employer who took one of his men off the job to pick up my car. It was just a HORRIBLE way to start my day with all that negativity. Be very cautious when dealing with her. she snaps at a moments notice. Sorry will not be going back. read more
