My experience with Delta Airlines from day one has been horrible. I've always flown southwest but we had credits that we had to use because of the pandemic and they said we had to use them within a year. It took me 3 weeks to change my flight because there was an 8,10, and 12 hours wait times on the telephone phone. Also, on the website, it says luggage fees may apply and when we get to the check-in area they tell us $90.00 for luggage fees, well they should have just said from the beginning luggage wasn't free. For the price, I paid for luggage, long wait times on the phone, and the poor customer service I could have flown Southwest with free luggage and cheaper fees, and good customer service. You think them knowing their wait times on the telephone is horrible, and all the bad reviews people have been leaving they would at least throw in the luggage for all the headache. Well, Delta Airlines you lost me as a customer and I fly frequently. read more

Just arrived at the airport in New Orleans. Personally, Delta has to be my favorite airline to travel with. While I have had hiccups with this travel company, Delta has handled service issues with more grace and style than American Airlines or other airlines I have traveled with. Would I use Delta again, definitely. And I am really excited to see what New Orleans has to offer. read more

I flew from MSY on 3/19/2019 on flight #677. The flight was very full, the airport was busy but Krystal, the gate agent could not have been more helpful and cheerful. I needed a little help sorting out my seat assignment; she was so nice and really went out of her way. Krystal represents Delta in the best possible way. read more

On my flight to Atlanta the Delta Airlines employes were very nice,helpful,and polite. The gate agent was very nice,and made sure everyone boarded the airplane quickly,and on time. The cabin crew was VERY polite,and nice. We were served a nice refreshment,and arrived in Atlanta 10 minutes early. This was a great flight and I would totally fly Delta Airlines again! read more

Took Delta round trip from DTW for a family wedding. Very friendly staff. Was checked in quickly and efficiently. Was upgraded to First class on my way to MSY from DTW. We were diverted to CVG on our way down to MSY due to a malfunction on the plane. We got an apology and on another plane quickly (got an e-mail apology later and extra SkyMiles on my account). The Terminal is well-laid out. Will definitely take Delta on my next air trip. read more

We don't usually use Delta. Very nice experience flying from Minneapolis To New Orleans. The same flight then continues to LAX, and supposedly can return to NOLA within 4 hours in order to take off for Minneapolis. This in itself is ridiculous, but this airline clearly is out to pile on more and more profit without regard to the customer. So far, we are delayed 4 hours and counting. They lie and make excuses, then give a box of packaged foods and a bottle of water in order to apologize for the inconvenience, but that doesn't cut it. I paid money, essentially entered into a contract with the airline to get me to my destination, and the contract is not honored. The issue is not weather, and not mechanical: it's just greed! If I can help it, I will never fly Delta again. read more

The check in process for me was horrible! I checked in via my mobile app. prior to taking my flight which I did ahead of time. I arrived to LAX at about 8:15am I advise one of the airline people where I needed to go check in my bag and had me stand in line for about 25 minutes for at the bag line. I get to the counter and they advise I had to print a boarding pass so had to go back and print it since they said my mobile app. had a glitch! By the time I went back to give the boarding time pass I missed my 9:35 am flight and had to rebook for a later flight with no apologies and got an attitude from the person changing my flight. It was a horrible experience when I heard good things about Delta will not fly Delta again!!! read more

I can't believe the poor customer service and greediness of this airline. I tried switching a flight from one that was fully booked to one that had 10 open seats and their answer was to charge me $175???? Then the day of the flight it went down to $75??? And finally while I was waiting for my flight the flight that was still not filled was asking if anyone on my flight wanted to get on earlier flight but you had to have not have any checked luggage...great example of customer service that will drive your customers to your competitors. Great experience, friendly staff, informative pilot. Flight wasn't full, pilot encouraged us to spread out and even pointed out landmarks and attractions to observe as we made our descent into LAX. Staff on board were conversational and made suggestions for our final destination. Staff was not stingy with onboard amenities. Overall a very pleasant experience read more

Flying with Delta has not been a very pleasant experience. Coming into NOLA, our gate changed 3 times! With no real notification and all alerts notifying the change were recieved later that afternoon after I was already at my destination and off the plane. Leaving NOLA to LAX was also frustrating since we had to wait 30 mins just for a Delta associate to come to the kiosk to check my bag. NEVER AGAIN. read more

My complaint is actually not something that happened to me but the young lady behind me. They basically yanked her off the plane bc her flight was the next flight. Odd that her friend and her booked together so they assumed they were flying together. More odd that they scanned her pass and it cleared her to board. There is also an empty seat right next to me. They yelled at her, grabbed her stuff and pulled her off the plane. "let's roll" was the only response to asking the simple question of how their (the staff) mistake could have happened. Before my experience on this trip, I liked Delta. Now, I love Delta! They are so accommodating and they keep you informed. Everyone I encountered was very pleasant. I've never had a problem with flights being delayed. The seats are very comfortable, leg room is plentiful, and the flight attendants were very courteous. Although I didn't have the energy at 7am, the ladies at the desk were very energetic and seemed to love their jobs. I highly recommend. read more

Flight delayed with no announcement or explanation. We're going to miss our connecting flight and probably won't get home tonight. No one at the counter really seems to care. We're stand by on a flight that gets in about midnight--6 hours late. Or else stuck in the airport over night. A little compassion and apology would be helpful. read more

I will never fly Delta again. I paid for 2 first class tickets for a special vacation. Upon arriving at New Orleans airport we were refused entry to the Delta club because our flight was Domestic and my wife did not have an platinum Amex card. After I get off this expensive flight, Delta will never receive another penny for me or my employees. read more

On my flight to Atlanta I was suprised to be flying on one of Delta's new boeing 737-900's. This aircraft is equipped with tons of legroom,and one of the best personal entertainment systems in the airline industry. My crew I flew with was also very nice,and helpful and represented thier airline very well. I've flown on other airlines to Atlanta like Southwest, and spirit and trust me spend the extra $50 bucks "or maybe even less" its worth it. Delta has more on-time arrivals,and departures than Southwest,and Spirit when flying into thier shared destinations not to mention the extra legroom,and reserved seating. Delta made the differnce in my buisness trip, and I can't wait to fly on them again soon! read more

I arrived to the airport early and when my ticket was printed I saw I didn't have an assigned seat. They had overbooked their flight by 10%!!! They had to pay 7 people $400 each to take another flight. I was one of 3 people that had to wait for the entire plane to board to see if I had a seat. Why??? I don't get it. I was a paying customer just like everyone else on the plane. So why did we get chosen as the "lucky ones" who didn't have a seat. The delta desk person would not explain or even talk to us. She just kept her head down and ignored our questions. She waited last minute to see if the missing passengers were showing up. Thank god they didn't so we got a seat on the plane. I will never fly with delta again and I will make sure I tell every single person I know at the horrible way they do business. I have never had a problem with other airlines such as united so I shall stick with them. read more

Horrible airline, I've never been separated from my daughter on a flight. I got to the airport and checked in which at first I had a seat next to my daughter then I was told that delta has changed our seats. When I asked why at the ticket agent they said because I have an economy ticket. So apparently paying high for a airplane ticket isn't enough to have a seat next to your child. read more

I would give negative stars if I could. We are delayed in New Orleans for six hours due to weather. I asked if I can have a beer since they weren't letting us off the plane and they said it was not allowed since we were on the ground. Meanwhile, two rows in front of me in first class the drinks were flowing like the Mississippi. I was flying standby and my flight was originally supposed to be at 1154am. I was bumped off of 6 flights because of availability. It was time for the last flight out and I was very nervous! They called my name to board the plane and I was very relieved. I thanked god immediately! I got settled on the plane and started reading my book. All of a sudden the flight attendant called my name and another African American, gentleman's name. Right before the plane was getting ready to take off they told both of us that we had to give up our seats. This was one of the most degrading experiences of my life! The supervisor made us get off the plane and give up our seats. The other person working for the airline told me she wasn't supposed to do that because the people didn't arrive until the plane was about to leave. This was the same supervisor that told me to board the plane. The supervisor showed no remorse whatsoever. Id been at the airport since 930 am and now I'm going to miss work and not be able to get home to my pets! One of the delta employees that was working one of the flights I was bumped off earlier told me that the airport had an agreement with the local hotels for discounted rates for people that were displaced because of issues with flights. The supervisor told me that she was the only person I could speak with about my issue. She also didn't mention the discounted hotel rates until I brought it up and the rates she told me were twice the amount of what the previous employee said. I understand that you aren't guaranteed a seat flying standby but they shouldn't treat people like they're inferior. I also understand that people make mistakes but good companies do their best to rectify them. The supervisor I dealt with did the least she could to help me with this situation. On the runway...and now told the plane is returning to the gate due to an unforeseen mechanical difficulty. 'If u wish to deplane, please see our agents.' R u kidding me????? Never again Delta!!! No heat no water for more than an hour. Delta is the absolute worst airline ever!!! They were also very clear the 'offer' to deplane did not include a room covered by Delta since there r no more flights tonight. Poor customer service Delta. Trust me, I will pay more to avoid flying Delta in the future! read more
