Marriott's are always my go to hotels. The lobby of this Delta hotel is very nice, with large ceilings and colors. There is a casino that is connected to it, which has a bar and buffet restaurant. On a Monday night, there were a good amount of people there. The hotel has an outdoor hot tub and indoor sauna that closes at 10pm. The gym has dumbbells, 2 treadmills, and some machines. Gym is open 24hrs. Hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. I think I expected the room to be a bit nicer considering the lobby is so nice. Rooms were plain, had a mini fridge, no microwave. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was small, and door barely swifts past the toilet. Location is close to the mall, restaurants, drive into downtown. I do appreciate not having to pay for parking. read more

I'd give this hotel a 3.5/5. It's not a bad location if you're driving as it's just off the #1 Highway, a 5 minute drive to the Amazing Brentwood Mall and there's free overnight parking for hotel guests. Atlas Steak & Fish is a part of the hotel and is a good dining option. The hotel is connected to the Grand Villa Casino. The lobby is nice with high ceilings and a Starbucks. I've stayed here a few times and reception is always friendly and accommodating. Rooms are clean and comfortable but the washroom feels outdated. There was an issue with the AC, but we called front desk and they immediately sent a maintenance person to our room to fix it. There's a small 24-hour fitness centre and a hot tub, but there's no pool or sauna at the hotel. read more

Really nice hotel, can't go wrong with Marriott! Staff was really nice and helpful. Rooms were clean and beds are comfy, though I swear we booked a kind size bed and it looks like a queen? When booking I liked that it was a little outside Vancouver but didn't take into account that if there is any amount of traffic it becomes quite the trek to get out there. Loved that breakfast was included, and parking! Was overall a good hotel choice and we enjoyed our stay! read more

Large digital TV that supports streaming services like Netflix, Prime video, etc. Free parking is a plus. Complimentary breakfast is offered for platinum elite and above. hotel is great , great service and people are very friendly. but the starbucks in the lobby is TERRIBLE. was barley a line and yet my 2 drinks took over 15 minutes to make and still had to wait even longer for food. on top of that my friend couldn't even get a cup of ice water, the starbucks staff refused to give it to her, due to the fact that we were here at a competition that was wanting to save plastic. however the drinks were very good and not watered down at all, for once. read more

We stayed here one night close to Vancouver before our Alaskan cruise. The best thing about this hotel is that it's connected to a casino. We're not gamblers, but I love anything that's open 24 hours. My husband was a little hungry when we checked in after 9 PM so he ordered from one of the bars. He got some tater tots with the cheese on top. On the menu they were called Mexican fries. We have no idea what that's about but it's Canada. The room was upgraded to a suite because of my husband's Marriott status, but it was definitely outdated. It was a great price being so close to Vancouver plus we were just there one night. read more

Although it is a little bit far away from the downtown area, but this hotel provide casino, 3 restaurants inside. Friendly staff and quick check-in. Upscale modern hotel decor and guest rooms. Super comfy bed with Netflix on the TV. Connected to a casino! Heck yeah! Even though we only stayed here for one night after our Alaskan cruise we had a very nice stay. It was worthwhile to get a room here rather than stay in downtown Vancouver as I scored a better rate, and honestly we wanted to party and gamble a bit. The casino on a Saturday night was pumping! The best part was their steak restaurant. The food, service, and love piano music was superb. We had issues on our last night. There were 3 young kids next door that were loud - yelling and stomping past 11pm, like they were having a party. We called the front desk and they said a manager would handle it, but 15 minutes later nothing changed. I called back and they said the manager had already been by...but they didn't say what the outcome was and we hadn't heard a knock next door or any conversation happening. So my husband went next door to talk to the kids. There were two boys and a girl, around middle school age. There were no adults present and the kids said their parents were having dinner downstairs. At 11:30pm?? My husband told them they were being too loud and we could not sleep. They said they would be quiet. We heard adults come into the room about 15-20 minutes later. Then, at 12:26am I heard a woman raise her voice and a door slam. It was difficult to get to sleep. Luckily this was our final night's stay or we would have requested a room change. I was disappointed that the hotel didn't handle this issue And that my husband had to intervene. read more

This hotel is at the Grand Villa Casino in Burnaby. The shared lobby is very nicely lit and decorated in rich purple & gold. It has high ceilings and lots of windows The lobby also features a Starbucks. It's too bad that the rich, warm, welcoming, color sceme didn't extend to the guest rooms. I found them to be stark and boring. They lacked character and reminded me of a business travellers room - not a casino hotel room. They definitely could use some colourful paint and an chaise. This would defiantly be a good start! They do have a good stay & play promotion. This was the room, 2 x 10$ free play at the casino, and breakfast for 2 at the Restaurant which is really good. The fitness centre on level 3 has lots of equipment to use, as well as a sauna, steam room, and outdoor whirlpool. They also have a fridge with cold bottled water, headphones & cool face cloths. The staff & service at the hotel is good and we were grateful for the early check in when I was ill. I'd stay here again on promotion for sure, but for the regular price, there are higher end options Downtown. read more

3.5 stars. Stayed two nights here during the summer for a staycation due to Covid travel restrictions. The hotel is attached to the Grand Villa casino, as well as Atlas steakhouse, and the Grand Dynasty Seafood restaurant. The lobby entrance is ground floor shared with the casino, and was very small and kind of lacklustre for the price charged. I thought it would be nicer, as there's not too much around without driving! The front desk staff were pleasant, and "upgraded" us to a room on a high floor, but not a suite. The rooms have had some renovations done, but we're still a bit old and dated, especially the washrooms. The best thing about the rooms was the bed and the pillows which were super comfortable and we slept so well. It was also around the heat dome time, and their air conditioning is amazing, I was actually cold and it was so nice to hide under the comforter! Unfortunately all amenities like the gym were closed despite restrictions being lifted. There is also no designated hotel guest parking, and it's shared with the casino guests so it was a bit hard to find parking, and didn't feel secure as it was an open shared lot with so many people going in and out. No major complaints about the room, except for that everything could use a renovation considering the prices charged, and designated hotel guest parking would be good. We enjoyed a nice dinner at Atlas (which I highly recommend - check out my separate review) and did a bit of light gambling at the casino. All in all it was a nice treat for ourselves to "get away," have a nice meal, and escape the heat. read more

To start I have to say this is by the best service at a hotel that I have ever gotten. The staff being accommodating doesn't give them justice. They went above and beyond what they really needed to do. I had last minute booking and their staff that helped me book the hotel was very polite and could tell they really enjoyed what they did. Finding those individuals in the customer service/hospitality industry that are beyond amazing are sometimes hard to find. I'm wrong when it comes to the Delta Hotels in Burnaby. Every encounter I had with their staff can be described as genuine and beyond amazing. I have to thank Ricardo, the initial introduction to the hotel and their brand. His positivity was contagious. Thank you to Ricardo for giving the best first impression of the Hotel. The room was super clean and modern. It had everything that your stay could ask for. As well as a pretty amazing view. Don't be alarmed, this place is also next to a casino. We drove up and though, oh no this is the wrong place! It was a nice hotel with polite staff. It's clean and doesn't smell like smoke. You cannot enter the casino if you are under 18 however, and they are very strict about it. There are 2 restaurants in the casino, so you cannot dine with children. There are 2 other restaurants located outside the casino. The rooms were clean and well kept. Parking is free in the 2 parking structures. read more

Could be a 4star if there was shopping nearby, but nothing walkable in the area unless the tourist wants to check out BCIT campus or a few gas stations lol. But convenient off the #1 Highway. Delta's a bit on the higher-end casual chain but this one has the nice, high lofts in the lobby with a balcony overlooking its purple curtains & sofas, kinda royalty-like. Nice to have covered lobby and plenty of taxis waiting. Starbucks inside by lobby too. Has a restaurant there, as well as the Grand dynasty chinese, known for its dim sum, a bit on the higher-end side, naturally. But the main attraction is its casino; should still have A&W there last year i was there. Covered parking, with electronic counters to let you know how many spots available. read more

Hmmm.... that's where the GPS is taking us. (We drive right in front of the hotel) But it says Grand Villa Casino... (We see the Delta Burnaby Hotel sign beside it) Oh DAMN, no freakin way! Jackpot!!!! Thank you again Priceline!!! So apparently, this is our hotel for the next two nights! YESSS!!! This place is off the hook! So first off just the overall appearance of the hotel/casino looks very lavish. We were greeted with an attendant opening the door and able to check-in in a couple of minutes. As we were waiting, I was curious to check out the casino. I am not a big time gambler or anything but just wanted to see how they do it in Canada. We get to our room and notice a huge king size bed... nice... The only problem was that we checked in hella late and was not able to book a double queen room. At least we were able to acquire a cot. So the room was hella nice 32" lcd tv... pretty spacious area, a comfortable bed, decent sized bathroom with all the amenities. Good stuff. So we get back downstairs and check out the casino. I can hear all the bells from the slot machines going off already. But as I entered the casino, I noticed something different. My nose is not irritated... I can smell just fine... what's going on? Oh DAMN, there is NO SMOKING inside the casino! YESSSSS!!!! That is a first for me! Apparently the casino has designated areas outside for you to smoke so that makes it great! We walk around a bit while I try to look for my favorite type of slot machine... The Wheel of Fortune! Awww... no luck. Oh well. We go to one of their many cool looking bars and order a round of their local choice of beer.... can't remember the name but it was pretty good. Walked around some more and my friend wanted to play Blackjack. He ended up winning about $100... cool. We all had a blast staying at this hotel. It's just like Vegas. If you wake up in the middle of the night and feeling lucky, you can just go downstairs and test your luck. The only thing bad I can say is there was a $12 parking charge every night we were there. Man, I thought parking would be free. Oh well... still an awesome place! read more

I got food poisoning here once. I came here for a business ethics course on a Wednesday. By Friday, things were not too good. I think it was the pasta salad that did me in. That was the only thing that wasn't cooked. Needless to say, I had a terrible weekend. I was not a happy camper. Facilities are OK, but not as nice as others that I have been to. Just stayed here for the Vancouver marathon that the boyfriend was running in. We priceline'd and got a room for $140 and for that amount of money, we were pleasantly surprised. Good-sized room, excellent heating/cooling system, free wifi/hardwire interwebs. Bathroom: water pressure and the giant shower head was so refreshing, although if you're sharing a room, you'll need some extra towels. Tip for the ladies: bathroom light sucks for makeup application, so I'd recommend opening the curtains and sitting besides the window for best light. View blows, but the king bed and linens more than made up for that. LCD TV, mini-fridge, comfy accent chair, and an expansive work desk. Customer service was shockingly good, the only issue was dealing with a down wifi connection, but as soon as we got connected to an actual helpdesk, all was well. Yeah, it's not in downtown Vancouver, but the Skytrain is maybe a half mile away tops. If you take a cab to Skytrain to downtown, it's about $20 r/t. Considering the average hotel downtown of this quality runs you....$300/night, I'd say you're still saving yourself a pretty penny even with add'l transpo. Took a risk even amid the bad food warnings and ordered late night chicken strips at the connected casino. Definitely edible. Also ordered the steak and eggs off the brunch menu. It's big enough for two and actually, it's better than the food I've had at Hotel 1000 in Seattle (overrated hotel in Seattle). read more

This is a very nice hotel! I stayed here for 4 nights in June 2015, and it was a pleasure. We had a great big room on the 4th floor with a kingsize bed, The room had a tv, a fridge, a iron, a blowdryer, free wifi and free parking. The hotel has an okay gym, a hot tub, a casino and a restaurant (it is also possible to get roomservice, and even snacks for a rented movie - pretty cool). The only is, that there is no safe in the room, which I really want when I travel. You can probably store your valuables in the front desk, but I didn't ask. I had a very pleasant stay here, and I would definately stay here again. read more

Thank goodness! After a horrible experience with an Air BNB in Seattle, my friend & I decided to go to Vancouver sooner than later. Fortunately, we found a last minute good deal with Delta Burnaby Hotel. Delta is located in a small city outside of Vancouver. It's a short 10 minute drive to downtown Vancouver. The hotel itself has a casino, some small eateries, and a Starbucks on the first floor. What I found specially convenient was that I was able to exchange my US money to Canadian there. Luckily the currency was in my favor. It wasn't by much, but hey, I'll take what I can get. At the same counter to change currency, they also sell a limited amount of snacks, about ten that ranged from chips to cookies. The room itself was pretty comfy. They provide you with robes, a soft comfy bed, TV, mirrors, etc. The average and typical toiletries are available for you. Parking is also free, which is expected as this hotel has a casino. If I decide to stay outside of Vancouver again, I wouldn't mind it being here. read more

Delta Hotel did a beautiful renovation and upgraded their Grand Villa Casino with the latest decor trends. I came here for an event in the main ballroom. We used a few other smaller ballrooms for set up and the staff was superb. They were quick in getting things we needed and did their best to accommodate any requests. I was greeted by the valet, then greeted again by guest services and kindly explained the way to the ballroom. The ballroom had a high ceiling, natural light in the foyer that flowed into the ballroom with the doors opened, curved floor to ceiling windows. clean dark carpet, and good lighting. Great space for any event. The new casino had a nice purple theme with new slot machines and game tables. The layout was something like a movie, a nice water feature along the staircases, bar on the second floor, two storey high ceiling, nice open layout on the second floor where you can see down. The bar was a nice place to just sit down and have a drink without having to gamble. Go check it out even if you're not a big gamer :) read more

I stayed at the Delta Burnaby Hotel and Conference Centre for 4 nights and overall I enjoyed my stay. My feedback goes as follow : Pros : - The lobby staff was very friendly and helpful. This is important to me and my needs were met. - There's a Starbucks located in the lobby and I found it quite convenient since I could grab a coffee/breakfast as needed during my stay. - A very quiet stay, I rarely heard anyone else on my floor and my sleep wasn't interrupted by anything outside my room. - Room value was high. The room provided was spacious and I was provided with free coffee (2 sachets of both normal and decaf). The bed was huge and more important super comfortable! Getting quality sleep away from home is always a problem for those who travel and there was none to be found with the bed I was provided. - Room service was top notch. My room was efficiently taken care of. - Attached to the Hotel you'll find a casino and conference center. While I cannot speak of my experience of the conference center since I didn't attend it, I did visit the casino on several occasions! It was nice to spend an hour in the casino every night and enjoy a little bit of entertainment before heading up to my room. Felt like a mini-Vegas with the resto/casino/hotel experience. - Many restaurant options like Edo (avoid the buffet in the Casino though! YUCK!) - Quality Wi-Fi without issue. This is an asset to any company. - Pricing is decent for what you get. Cons : - If there's one major negative here it would be the AC. There was another review that reflected this. The room AC is quite loud. Particularly the "turning on and off" sounds that jarred me away from my pillow every few minutes. Fortunately I found putting a pillow on top of the vent to minimize the air flow and leaving the AC on constantly on somewhat made it much more bearable with only the constantly low droning of a bad quality AC instead of having it start up and turn off every few minutes to keep temperature levels.. The AC needs improvement here. - Slummy neighbourhood outside the hotel, I don't recommend long walks in this neighbourhood. - The hotel elevator uses your room key and it doesn't work very good. Sometimes it won't acknowledge your card or you get it to read fast enough causing you to pulled away as another guest called the elevator. Annoying. Overall, a good stay. read more

The place is a casino and conference center although the Priceline ad did not show that it is a casino. A purple and glitering lobby tells it all. They also got tons of velvet around the lobby. The coffee stand is a single starbucks in the lobby. The service is sub par. The staff did not look at me except for my credit card while chatting non. Stop with her co worker. I went down for coffee three days I a row and she was chatting every time. Maybe a decent place for conferences. But not for a relaxing vacation stay. read more

We stayed here for 2 nights for our anniversary, and it was ok. I feel like i could've get more with what I'm paying. I didn't know if there's a Casino inside the hotel either. + nice staff, friendly. + quick service - I couldn't sleep well on my first night. Kinda noisy in the morning because my room was right in front of the elevator. I could hear people walking and talking. - the a.c is too noisy for me. - I feel like their bathroom lacks of many things, we have to call them and ask for things; such as towels, shower cap, and a toothbrush. I thought their toothbrush is funny, and uncomfortable but it's better than nothing. The shower curtain is not that clean either. So with all that I don't think I'll come back to stay in this hotel. read more

Stayed here for a Friday to Monday visit to Vancouver, and loved it. Everyone working at the hotel was really nice, and they all went out of our way to make sure we were enjoying our visit. We stayed on the top floor in a Suite, and had access to the lounge with complimentary hors d'oeuvres and drinks (alcoholic drinks were not free, but they did send some complimentary beer and nuts up to our room). The casino is on the opposite end from the Hotel tower, you really don't hear any noise from it, and it was a fun night out for us with blackjack and drinks. Free parking, Free WiFi, and an amazing staff will make this our go to when we return to Vancouver. It is within driving distance of downtown without all of the noise and traffic that goes with actually being downtown. Great view of the Skyline from our room. There is a Skytrain station within walking distance if you have not driven. The thing that really stands out the most was the quality of the people working there, all genuinely friendly and helpful. The room was nice, comfortable, great view, nothing to complain about. Housekeeping left chocolates on our pillows and water bottles on our night stands. We will definitely be back! read more

I was very worried when I got there. I didn't look closely at the reservation and when I pulled up to the place, I noticed it was attached to a casino. Living in Las Vegas, I tend to avoid casinos like the plague. They are noisy, smoky, and full of drunks. However, I was very pleased that things were different with this place. It looked like a normal Marriott. The staff was very friendly. I was very pleased that they were able to check me early, as I had worked all night, the night before and didn't get much sleep. I really needed a nap. They put me in a room on the far side from the casino and it was very quiet. The room was spectacular. It was one of the coldest rooms I've ever been in, and to me, that's a HUGE selling point! I would sleep in a walk-in cooler if I could afford it. The TV was Marriott's new Interactive TV with Netflix, HULU, and You Tube TV capabilities. The bed was very comfortable. I had a nice mini fridge. And despite the place not being in Vancouver proper, you can catch a very inexpensive SkyTrain to where ever you need to go from Brentwood Mall Centre about a mile away. Also, there are always Taxis around if you wish to pay a little more to go into Vancouver. There is also complementary self parking in the garage across the street. Needless to say, I would definitely stay here again and I would recommend it anyone staying in this area. read more

Checked in here for just one night for our anniversary (on a whim) because we are in the midst of renovations and really needed a break from it all. What a great getaway, and so close to home. I was really impressed with the service at this location, and loved the room we stayed in. We checked in, and the front desk clerk (Courtney) asked us what brought us to this particular hotel, and we said, "Well, it's our anniversary..." We get situated in our room, and then go downstairs to check out the casino etc. Come back to our room to get ready for dinner, and there's this nice note from the front desk clerk (Courtney), referencing an inside joke about "The Commonwealth", and congratulating us on our anniversary, and there is also another note from the in-room dining steward - also congratulating us on our anniversary which said, "Please enjoy the treat we left in the fridge." We look in the fridge, and it's a bottle of BC wine. Colour me impressed! Next morning we went to EBO for breakfast - and our server was an absolute doll! I didn't catch her name, but she was very good, and the food was excellent. We both had the smoked salmon omelet (with roasted asparagus, Boursin cheese) - delicious. Also - have to mention that the room we stayed in included access to the Signature Lounge, a floor above the floor we were staying on. We did go up there, and enjoyed fabulous appetizers and drinks before heading off to dinner. The server there was also wonderful (alas, I didn't get her name). Great getaway - and we'll be back! If you need some R&R ...this is a good choice. I have already recommended it to friends and family. read more

This hotel is overpriced, no pool, no shops, not worth the money. The restaurants in the hotel are very overpriced and not great quality. The service is good. ( only treason it is not 2 star review) The cost is not warranted. The a/c is loud , very loud. The traffic is loud. Even on the 12th floor. No dressers, no microwave in the rooms. Oh and no on room safes. Found that very odd. Ps Starbucks in the lobby is worse Starbucks I've ever been to. read more

Great venue for holding small meetings/conference. Our organization has had our annual general meeting here twice and both times were a success. We had an open bar, and a light dinner. The first year, they had another meeting going on in another room which ended early and they sent all the left over food to us, at no charge. It was great because I think that first year we hadn't ordered enough food. This year we had sandwiches and crudite and a cheese platter, along with some h'ors d'oeurves of gyoza, samosa, and sushi. Everything was prepared really well. No complaints. And the guy who did the open bar was quite friendly, but I couldn't find a tip jar. read more
