We decided to try Delta Sonic after our go to car wash went out of business. The procedure to get a full interior and exterior wax to us leaves a lot to be desired. First you drive thru a booth where they take your order and then you first go thru a pre wash, then you drive through the actual car wash, after the wash you have to drive to yet another building where your car is put on a conveyor belt where they do the interior. This does give them the opportunity to up sell you, and we did decided to purchase the six month "guaranteed" wax. Since my wife's car is the one we use to haul the boxer pups and do road trips, the wax was truly needed. We waited in the comfortable waiting room until her car was ready. We were both surprised to see that not only hadn't the wash removed dead bugs from the front of the car, they decided to wax right over them as well. Talking to the manager on duty was an exercise in futility so I decided to call corporate first thing in the morning. Calling corporate resulted in me being connected with the Naperville location and speaking with Manny and he instructed me to bring the car back and they will correct the problem. I will update the review once I see how they correct the situation. Today I returned and spoke with Manny and showed him the bugs that were still left on the car. He explained that only a full detail would have removed them. I explained that if the employee would have recommended that instead of the wax, I would happily have purchased the detail and was surprised that they would simply wax over the bug remains. The team managed by James Bryan did a glorious job on the following 3 cars of mine right before the first snow storm of the season hit. In Dec of 2017 I had his team detail wash and apply 6-Mo hand wax to prepare for the winter. It was worth the price, it was worth the time... these guys rock! The 2005 Lexus rx330 looks new, the 2009 Jaguar Vanden Plas got pretty, and the hand washing & waxing of the 1966 Mustang 305 got show room ready! A++ boys. This place is kind of a disappointment. It used to be the single best car wash in town. The exterior stuff is fine still, and a reasonable value. The interior service here has gone to pot. I took my car here last week for a wash, interior cleaning, and carpet shampoo. The Super Kiss was a good wash- the car looked as good as it does at the other car wash I frequent. The interior looked like they took a rag and dusted the dashboard for about 3 seconds. Seriously, I can't believe they consider this clean. I hate being "that guy" that acts like a jerk and demands everything be perfect, but this was seriously the most half-assed interior cleaning I've ever seen. There was dust and crap all over the dash and console, and I am kicking myself for not bringing it back. The carpets looked really sharp after the shampoo (I've got 2 young kids so you can imagine the spills) so I was more focused on that when I got the car. I failed to notice how poor the rest of the interior looked. I'd say the shampoo was worth the $25, but it was a waste to throw in another $12 for the interior service. Overall, it's 3 stars for the exterior, 4 for the carpet shampoo, and 1 star for interior. If you know of another wash that offers all three services, I'd suggest going there instead. read more

Most annoying experience ever! My 30 minute interior clean was done in 10 minutes. Nothing was vacuumed, my center console and windows were not cleaned (even though I requested them to be focused on), and they returned my car with several scratches and a large chip of paint missing from a door. I have never been more disappointed in a service ever in my life. If I could give zero stars I would. They did absolutely NOTHING. read more

Delta Sonic Car Wash is great. If your car is in need of a good cleaning this is definitely the place to go. Other car washes I've been to in the area don't clean my car nearly as well. The prices are reasonable, and I've never had any issues with the vacuums, interior cleaning or exterior cleaning. The customer service is also great. It's unfortunate this is a little far from my home, but whenever I'm nearby I make sure to stop in for a wash when needed. read more

Years ago, I would take my car to Delta for a reasonably priced wash and although it seemed to take a long time, it was clean and I was happy. 2018: Delta Sonic has raised their prices and my car doesn't even get clean. I pay a teen in my neighbourhood $25 and he washes the entire car by hand and it's better than the washes I've received at Delta over the past few years - by a long shot. Raised prices and lowered standards. Nice. I recently went to Delta because I had a free wash. I upgraded it to a better exterior wash (the interior prices were ridiculous and the last time I had the interior done, I went home and spent time re-cleaning it) and it came with the two "free" washes within two weeks. I left with a streaky car and something majorly smudged on the windshield. I didn't have the time to go in and complain and the line was long so I left and came back. I had to use one of the "free" washes to have my car rewashed and the smudge was still there. When I asked about it, they said it was from the marker they use on the car before you go through. Great. I was irritated when the location became inconvenient because of the way they reconstructed the road but I was happy to find a way around that for a good car wash, however, it's not worth the time, the effort, or the money to take your car to Delta. read more

I deeply miss the deals offered by Delta Sonic. Not many places offer a full wash and dry for under ten bucks with "rain or shine" policy lasting about a week. If it rains, come back in and get a fresh wash and buff. They also have a popular unlimited washes for a month program beloved by the sports car and luxury sedan set, especially when coupons are factored in. Drive into the large bay after paying for your wash, your car goes in to the care of Delta Sonic's staff, and out you go while watching your baby go down the buff and scrub assembly line. Prices are slowly creeping upwards but it's still a decent deal for a touchless wash performed by humans instead of rotating brushes or squirting columns. The main drawback to this is the general inconsistency, however. I've had great washes where immense attention to detail left not a spot of dust on my dashboard and no drips on my side mirrors. I drive a not terribly large car, so it's not as though they're crawling all over a Cadillac land-yacht to get the work done. Others, the same vehicle doesn't even have the trash taken out. The service I pay for includes cleaning the interior as much as the exterior. I am not especially messy but when I accidentally left a plastic bag on the backseat, shouldn't that be in the bin? They incidentally forgot to take out the rag used to clean part of my dash. When it's good, it's well done. When it's mediocre, you'll certainly notice. read more

I joined their unlimited $5 brush car wash service when they were open in Downers a couple of years ago. I liked the service good price and good wash and a decent wipe down afterwards. Well, the downers location has been closed for about seven months and the nearest location is Naperville on 59. What a disaster. They try to funnel 4 lanes into one all the while trying to upsell you. The after wash wipe down at this location ranges from generally poor to today's abominable (yes, abominable ). The two guys literally made a single wipe across the windshield, mirrors and hood. Yea, one wipe. It would have been better to leave the water spots than to add a smear to it. I continue to pay for the Super Kiss wash, however the people drying after the wash never apply the secondary coating that has already been paid for. It's been 3 or 4 times in a row now. I've been coming here for awhile. I have one of those monthly passes. So I love being able to get in and out. Although with all the construction on 59 it makes it hard now. There is just as much to like here as there is to not like, so I had to go with 3 stars. What I like: Better then your average car wash. Lots of little stations that give you more They towel off your car at the end Free Vacuums Monthly Membership (unlimited washes) What I don't like: Some of the Vacuums are broken Workers are always pressuring you to hurry up There may be lines They spray your windshield and then ask you to move forward when you can't see Cars are super close together They do more then just wash your car if you want. They have detailing too(Often times you'll find a nice deal on Groupon for this.) Oil changes. Even a Dunkin' Donuts inside. Right around Christmas time they have a light show that is kinda cool going into to the car wash. But, what bothers me is during this time they give free car washes and ask for a donation to charity. I have the monthly pass, so when they ask me for my donation... I can't do it, because it doesn't make sense to me that I pay for a month that they give away what I pay for, for free and then ask me to give more money. I don't mind giving money to charity but I feel like this is anti-monthly membership then. Delta sonic has this weird subculture among employees it's like a blue dickie plad revolution of "I'm far too hip to work at a car wash" so I'll just act like I can't see you or worse the other half look like a herd of Zombie mechanics. It's almost as if they'd rather hold each other's hands or BS or whatever the hell is taking so long than work. Like my old man told me it's fine to talk at work but work and talk at the same time. I'm an unlimited car wash member, have used their interior cleaning services, and always take my car here for oil changes and other services. However, this past Saturday, I set out to get my car washed and drove to the next town over to get it done at delta sonic. Now lets jump right in. I was initially shocked at how much the prices have gone up since my last visit here, more than 2 years ago. Then I was presented with the choice to buy 3 additional washes at a discounted price, I figured since they went up so much, i may as well buy the 3 and save a little money. However, when they handed me the 3 wash card that I just purchased, there was an expiration on it..... WHAT THE HECK!!!!!!!!!!!! Why on earth would there be an expiration on something that I am VOLUNTARILY paying in advance for!!!!!!!!!!! BAD BAD BAD move, I immediately asked for my money back and handed the card back over - wow, what brain surgeon came up with that little caveat. Now, my car comes out, and I am not a nit picker, I am not the guy that goes over the car in tremendous detail having the detail-er wipe every smudge off. I tipped the kid, jumped in the car and drove off. As I was driving I noticed that the dash still had dust on it and there was still garbage in my car. REALLY, DUST ON MY DASH??!!!! That means they didn't even so much as hit it with a rag, BUT TOOK MY MONEY TO DO SO!!!!! I spun the car around and went back and now i BECAME THAT GUY, that walked around the car and pointed out everything. They offered no explanation, or incentive to make me happy with them again. Again, I left and the car wash NOT to my liking, so I drove a couple miles to Brighton Car wash, paid less money and my car came back to me beautiful, after all, I ONLY WANTED MY CAR CLEANED AND SHINED. I have only used the exterior car wash and I have never had a complaint. The attendants are usually helpful and the car is hand dried. During the holidays they had a great light show during the car wash which was nice. I also LOVED that during December light shows they gave the proceeds to local animal shelters. read more

Great fast service! The folks here go out of their way to help. My fiancee and I showed up with a flat tire, they took the car in and switched on the spare tire FOR FREE just to help us out! They didn't ask for anything in return. I don't know if they'd help anyone out, but they showed they actually cared about our problem. Later I took my car in for a quick oil change and they did it in a reasonable amount of time and had a reasonable rate. They even have this awesome waiting room with couches and a big screen that most people don't even know exist. I've also had the lowest price interior car wash and they did it in a reasonable amount of time and did more than they said they would. I've had nothing but excellent experiences at this place for gas, oil changes, car washes, vaccuums, air pump, and Dunkin Donuts inside. Great place to live so close to! read more

Car washes can be expensive! So when I got my new car I decided to treat her right and get an unlimited wash package at Delta. I pay somewhere around $16 a month which is equivalent to 2-3 washes. I try to go at least once a week to get my money's worth. They do a nice job on a busy day to keep the line moving. Of course I wish they would dry the car a little better but they don't want to spend 10 minutes drying each car so I usually pull to the side and finish off the job. You can also get interior cleaning for $12 which has a 30 day guarantee. On my most recent visit every spot that I asked them to focus on was still there so the poor kid had to do it when he asked me to look over the car. The wash under the plan is their super kiss one which does the under carriage. The 10 minute interior cleaning isn't bad for 12.99 but I dislike when they say what would you like us to focus on and you tell them and they still don't clean it anyways. It's like why even ask if your not going to do it. The quality of the service they so I feel has gone down over the years. I have been meaning to Yelp this place for a while. Mostly consistent on the cheap gas. The car wash isn't too bad. They give a 3 cent discount on gas when you purchase a car wash. They have 3 levels of washing regular for I think $6, some intermediate for $10 and then the Super Kiss which is all the bells and whistles for $12.99. With the Super Kiss car wash you can bring back anytime in a week and re-wash it for whatever the reason. I went into today and they have this new thing, get the Super Kiss car wash for $15 and come back and get you car washed 3 times in the next 2 weeks. I am a sucker so I took it. Over the Christmas holidays they have this coupon program where you can buy 3 car washes for $25. You can use the coupons through out the year and they don't expire. OH and they clean the inside of the car for $7. Just make sure they use dry clothes to dry you car. The guy this morning dried one car and came over and dried mine. What was the point? Took my brand new car to Delta Sonic. Afterwards I noticed some spots on my window. Either way I agree with the other reviews that when the guy was drying my car and I asked him to wipe the obviously dirty area again he was extremely rude. He didn't even care that the spots did not come off. Then he took my tip money without a thank you or smile. I drove off frustrated, went home and realized the spots would not come off of my car. I went in the next night to politely have my car looked at again and express my concerns. The Senior Manager Jay was AWESOME. He earned every one of the stars above (couldn't give a 5 due to the rude car dryer). Jay offered exceptional customer service, was extremely nice and very patient. He used a few different things to try to clean my window, power washed it twice, and sent my car through for a Super Kiss Wash. He even followed my car the whole time and met me at the drying area. He would not even accept a tip for his time. Even offered for me to come back again if I noticed something else in the sunlight the next day. Who knows if the spots were from the car wash or if was that once it was cleaned the spots were noticeable to me and possibly were picked up from tree sap or something (Jay's thought). Not what it used to be. This place used to be excellent. I worked here about 10 years ago so I know how great it was. The basic interior has over doubled in price but in terms of quality has gone down by half. The increase in price used to be justified because you got a 30 day guarantee with the interior. Half the employees are rude and not helpful at all. One even told me he didn't know what the hell was on my car and that it wasn't coming off. I have been a Delta Sonic Customer for a long time. I even have a monthly service that I rarely use just because I actually just prefer using them. This trip however, was absolutely the worst experience that I have ever had. Like I said, I pay for the unlimited monthly service, but usually get the interior done as well that I think used to be less than $20. On this trip, I'm now informed that not only is that option no longer available...but the new cheapest option is like $35 that you can only get if you also purchase a steam clean as well. NOT COOL... THEN...to add insult to injury, after I pay to have my car cleaned and sanitized, the porter that brought my car out wasn't even wearing a mask. I just need to know how this model makes any sense at all?? Not a happy camper...most likely will be canceling my membership. read more

Probably one of the nicest Delta Sonic's in the Chicago Land Area. I have the monthly unlimited car wash pass & think it is a definite bargain. The only problem with Delta Sonic is that they focus on doing volume instead of making sure every car is wiped down right. You could leave the car wash & have water spots all over your car because it was not wiped down properly. I have noticed this at most of the Delta Sonics. If you wash you car at Delta Sonic they they offer good prices on gas. Overall the staff is friendly & the inside facilities are pretty clean & I will continue to go here because of the unlimited monthly wash package that they offer but this is not the best car wash there is. read more

Wash, basic interior with my little new car scents to make my 2002 feel like a 2015 ;) I love the foam and the bubbles and the lights, like a little kid, during all seasons of the year. I came to Delta Sonic after a long time. I learned that they increased the price for the interior cleaning to almost $40. They said that they steam the car inside which makes it cleaner. I was very happy to pay for that, but when I got my car back I discovered that their services have gone from good to merely mediocre. The vacuuming was not good, very bad cleaning of dash in windows inside and the worst part is that they don't really steam the car inside they do the same thing they used to do for way less money. I think they have just become complacent and they're not interested in quality anymore. Too bad, I've been bringing my cars for years to this location. I think it's time to Give my business to somebody who is more thorough in give more quality.
