I waited for over an hour (no exaggeration) with my car running, told I'd be next but they keep pulling a bunch of cars that were parked in front of me. When I asked and said I may need to leave but I couldn't because I was blocked in (really couldn't go anywhere). Even though I was told I was next and was next in line, they began washing cars parked next to me! I was so frustrated but because I waited over an hour, I didn't want to leave without getting my car cleaned. Terrible communication but they really do a fantastic job on the car. read more

A 2900 dollar pinstriping completely ruined due to his employee using a high-powered pressure washer. This review is long overdue but still a huge shout out to Sal and his team at Sudsational after they rejuvenated my car in early November 2021. I have a 2013 Highlander and not long after I bought it, I noticed the floors were completely soaked with water and the vehicle started to smell NASTY! The cause of the water was likely a clog in the sunroof rain gutter or the AC condensation tube or both. After I had it fixed (shout out to the service team at OB Toyota), the odor got worse. At that time I took it to another detailer who operates out of the garage in an office building. I explained the problem and they just shampooed the carpet but the odor still lingered for months. Fast forward to summer of 2021 and the water problem repeated itself...apparently this issue is common with Highlanders. After having Toyota address the issue again, I took it up to to Sudsational for remedy and talked to Sal. He immediately knew the problem and explained that the bad odor was caused by mold growing in the underlying padding...MOLD!!! (Thinking back to the first occurrence; I came down with a mysterious rash on my ankles during a road trip to Virginia.) This time I dropped my car off at Sudsational on a Friday morning. Sal personally worked to thoroughly de-funk the entire vehicle and went above and beyond completing a 3 day job in one day! This was a huge undertaking which entailed removing all of the seating, carpeting & padding, cleaning the carpet and then reinstalling the shampooed carpet and seats plus adding new fresh padding!! Additionally the car was masterfully & meticulously detailed, including under the hood, to the point of being show-room ready! This job did come at a cost which was ~3x higher than the last time but OMG SO WORTH EVERY PENNY! I am truly grateful to Sal for his honest, diligent approach. He was 100% accurate in what it took to do the job right! A quality which is hard to find these days. And I am now safe in my car because MOLD is nothing to sneeze at! read more

I was extremely happy with my experience with Sal and Sudsational. I made an appointment for detailing after a sandy, sunscreen slathered trip to the beach. Very disappointed that no CDC guidelines are being followed. I appreciate the work that was done on my vehicle, but I do not respect an owner that does not protect his customers and employees. I asked if he reenforces mask wear or social distance. His response was that "it was common sense," although some customers were walking around the waiting room with no mask and not keeping their distance. I believe the owner said he "does not turn people away for not wearing a mask." I will not be returning due to the fact that I have to keep my family and myself safe. Employees and customers should not have to compromise their health in order to get a car wash, bacause the owner clearly does not acknowledge the safety of people. Pursuant to Executive Order, your employer must comply to the greatest extent feasible with social distancing requirements. This means that your employer should: Make sure you can maintain at least 6-feet physical separation between yourself and others around you, including your co-workers and customers. Mark with signage or tape 6-foot spacing for employees and customers to maintain appropriate distance from one another. Provide face coverings to employees, especially when it is not possible to maintain at least 6 feet of space between you and another person. Provide handwashing stations with soap, clean water, and single use paper towels and encourage frequent handwashing for 20 seconds or longer. Provide hand sanitizer (with at least 60% alcohol) and sanitizing products for employees and customers read more

These guys are miracle workers. My car was in rough shape, I have two dogs, I go to the beach all summer, I go camping, etc, etc, etc. My car had gotten to the point my girlfriend woudln't ride in it and said I was disgusting. I took it into Sudsational and told them to do the interior detail, shampoo the floormats, seats, etc. They charge $95 for this where as most other places are well over $150 up to $300 or so, so before I even saw the results the price was great. I just went and picked up my car and was wowed, my gf was shocked. The car looks brand new, and I can't stress again how rough shape it was in. The first thing I did when I walked in the door was sit down to write this review. These guys are miracle workers. They were friendly, called me when my car was done and I was wowed by the job they did. My girlfriend is going to take her car in there next chance we get. They did fantastic work on my car, it was scrubbed inside out, the only issue I had was getting in the car, my gas tank was on E, and I mean to a point that I just had enough gas to just get to a gas station. I thought that was strange because I was certain I dropped the car off with a half tank, so I reviewed my dashcam video and found that the car was left idle for almost two hours. I called and was told, it is their normal process to run a car after it had been detailed to help dry the interior. I asked if it was always run for 2 hours, and was told that there was no way the car was run that long, will be posting the video later on Youtube as proof! I brought my car in when it seemed like there wouldn't be anymore snow and selected the $20 wash and vacuum option. I waited about 35 minutes which was great (especially considering that the shop was very busy). The staff were so meticulous in cleaning the outside and inside of my car. It was vacuumed to perfection and the dash and windows were beautiful. My only complaint is that the did not vacuum the trunk. I'll ask next time to see if that is included in the package I selected. read more

Avoid the place if you care about your car's finish! They use acid on wheels (it etched my brake calipers and left stains which would not come off). Cars always end up either being dirty in many places or not properly dried. I've also noticed that they don't follow a procedure of washing the car from top to bottom and without circular motion. I dropped off my 2015 Kia Optima SXL Turbo at Sudsational in Downers Grove because I had a serious problem with swirls all over my car. Initially when I purchase my car it was so clean and smooth especially since it's a black car. After a couple years and a ton of car washes it started to notice swirl marks all over my car. This is hands down the best place in the Chicagoland area I have ever had a car washed. I only wish there were as high quality a car wash in the city proper. I found this place purely by coincidence in a suburb I only happened to be in for some car customization research I was conducting. Is this place more expensive than most car washes, yes. That price however is well earned since the service and quality of the wash was superior in every way. They also do take appointments if you want to have your car super detailed. Took my car here today since I did not want to wash it myself (it's a convertible) - for $20 they did a nice job hand washing exterior and wiping down and vacuuming the inside. It went pretty fast and they seem to have done a good job - only deduction I give them is that they did not suds the cloth convertible top - they only rinsed it. That left some of those annoying white things on it. Watched them do an interior detail on a nice Jagwhile I was waiting - seems liek they were truly detailing it. YMMV. read more

I was looking for a place to go and get my Saab interior detailed and I can tell you that the guys did an excellent job cleaning my seats, carpet, console , dash, etc... I live right next to this handwash car wash, yet I've only taken my car there once. They do very good work for a reasonable price, but I only gave them 3 stars because it took forever to get the car through. If you don't have an appointment, you have to sit in your car, in line, even for a simple car wash. I do see fairly high end cars there like Porsches, Audis, and Corvettes, but I've rarely seen Lamborghinis or Ferraris. Many dealerships around seem to trust sudsational for their washes, though. I'd say unless you really want a nice hand wash or a thorough interior cleaning, (They offer all levels of clean) save your time and money and go east just down the street to Delta Sonic for a $3.99 basic wash. read more
