I noticed not that many times to choose from going to Davis from Sacramento. We missed the 2 pm. We had to wait almost an hour and half until the next one. We bought our tickets then realized no one told us where we actually get onto the train. Our friend went back in..at the ticket booth the man that helped us was very nice and very helpful. He gave the kids coloring books and pins. Finally on the train it was bumper then I remembered, moved around a lot reminded me being on boat. Can not have bags or luggage out on tables or seats. I think we got called out, but we weren't sure since it was over the load speaker. We had a small bag it had food and snacks in it. We put into the over head. We went to check out the food car. So the kids could feel what it was like to walk from car to car..the food car was mostly over priced snacks. Canned, bottled drinks and packs of chips or nuts. When we arrived in Davis. They said over the loud speaker they do not stop for to long you need to get off so get ready. We couldn't open the over head to get our bag back out. It was stuck. Other passengers helped us open it, they said you really need to pull it hard. Once off the train the Davis train station and building looked so old and run down..so sad looking compared to Sacramento station. We didn't know no one would be there to buy return tickets. But they do offer more times leaving back to Sacramento. We purchased online. We had many people asking if they were in the right place while we were waiting. Davis such a cute town seems like they would clean up the station areas.

Restored since the early 2000s, this station has old world charm (beautiful ceiling, chandeliers, etc) and modern day infrastructure and serves the Capital Corridor train lines as well as the California Zephyr and the Coast Starlight. It also connects to SacRT light rail which connects to 53 other stations. This station is a short walk from Old Sacramento, the Golden 1 Center and DOCO. Although it's a short walk, it's best to be dropped off by car as the weather here can be unpredictable, hot/cold depending on time of year you are visiting. If this is your first time at this station, this can be a tad confusing on where to go as it's a bigger station, so make sure you allow time to go to restroom, navigate to the correct platform, etc. Platforms can also change, so check your app and the screens. However the Westside route can be a challenging depending on your work hours. They have 3 routes in the morning and 3 in the evening to and from North Natomas to downtown. The first route is fine if you're scheduled to start work before 7:00a and end your day before 4:00p. The second route will get you to work before 8:00a and the 3rd route before 9:00a. HOWEVER, for the 2nd route, if you're not on one of the first stops, you will be standing for the whole ride. A few passengers have tried to email TMA about the situation and did receive a response that they were in the process of renegotiation of the contract. It seems the considerate solution in the interim would be to send a "shadow" bus until contacts are done. With this route only having 3 chances to get home, not everyone can get off work to catch the first route home and then last route is not until 6p, causing the second route home, standing room only by the time it still has 3 more pick ups before getting on the freeway to head back to North Natomas, unlike the Eastside routes which have 4. I'm starting to feel like it's unsafe for the amount of passengers that are standing. And today didn't make it any better with the AC not working and then the bus overheats halfway home. With so much traffic on the freeway, we knew it would take longer to wait for the back up bus, than to walk home. I walked 3 miles in heels, so definitely got my steps in. I'm just not sure if TMA is taking heed to our emails or ignoring them, but I'm going to take a break from riding and re-evaluate at a later time.

Dialysis is a life-saving treatment that must be done on schedule, and Issac really let us down by not showing up for this commitment.
