I'm from Houston so I'm used to quality tea houses. The service is always really good here but the drinks and the flavors are really inadequate. I've tried many of their teas and smoothies and the only reason I ever go here is because it's the ONLY place in Huntsville. Just got the taro smoothie and it's so chalky and unflavored. The owner was super rude to me when I asked a simple question, possibly because of a language barrier, but a simple yes or no reply would have been enough. He started yelling at us and it was really embarrassing. The drink was great, but I wouldn't go back because of that experience. read more

I believe it was the owner but the person I was with asked a simple question, "will my drink have the big tapioca?" He proceeded to say things like "we only have big balls" and "I don't know what you mean." Things like that, maybe 4 times and with contempt. Before that she mentioned that Yogurt balls were new. Maybe she hadn't seen them before, but he chimed in immediately with, "those are everywhere." I mentioned to him that he seemed a little rude. This set him off. He told me that in 3 years he had never been called rude, that everyone loved him, and that if I didn't like him I could leave. Like with my friend, he just kept talking while I sat in awe at the audacity of this man. It was incredible. Eventually I had to tell him, "that enough," and then he said something else and I was forced to say stop in an assertive manner. The whole scene was embarrassing. The drink was amazing. The owner was less so. I can see where it may be a cultural thing and I like to think I give allowances for that, but his need to keep talking, taking stabs at me and her both shows he is not concerned. He did this all with 4 other customers in the store. Again, drinks are great and I'm sure the food is too, but this guy is incorrigible to say the least. Good luck! read more

Love this place! It's like an oasis in the middle of a desert of restaurant variety. Finally, a place exists that is unique and offers a cultural distinction of taste and explosion of flavor! You need to keep your eyes peeled for this place that is in a small strip close to the Sam Houston University campus. You had me at mango boba smoothie!!! But, then you really got me with something that can't be found for miles---Banh Mi. True, Huntsville is too small (for now) for cultural diversity, but I see a change for the good. The owner is very nice and very willing to make his customers happy. I think it is refreshing to see this type of honest sense to serve the community and willing to make a difference! Love!!! Stopped for boba tea (unusual in this area) ended up getting spring rolls too. Place is kinda small & hidden but functional inside and private booths were cute. Owner was very nice, patient with my mother who's new to boba teas, let us try some samples (lots of boba options besides tapioca pearls), very knowledgeable & passionate about using quality ingredients (i.e. real fruits instead of flavored syrups), and suggested flavor combinations. The taro smoothie uses real taro (rare, trust me) but I asked for more cuz I like a stronger flavor. He happily fixed it for me, no problem. Mom's honeydew one was PHENOMENAL! The Vietnamese coffee sample we tried was great but too strong this late at night, for me. Drinks are pricey but understandable for the higher quality. Had the pork vermicelli with a coconut milk tea with black tea. The bowl was good, except for some chewy pieces of meat but overall a solid bowl. My tea was excellent, so I would definitely go back for the tea alone. My sister got the same bowl but got a taro smoothie. The taro smoothie was really grainy. Normally, taro drinks tend to be a tad grainy because most places use powder, but this was grainier than most. She didn't finish it because the texture was pretty bad. However, other than the smoothie, the food was pretty good! The ambience was cool, and the food came out relatively quickly. The only thing is the cashier seemed a bit impatient when we asked what the difference was between the smoothies and the milk tea, so my sister was too scared to complain about the smoothie. read more

This place was amazing and I'm so excited to have Bubble Tea shop with simple Vietnamese food. I got the avocado smoothie with tapioca and it was so delicate and just yum. I will add extra tapioca next time. I ordered spring rolls and a BBQ rice dish. Plenty for left overs. My mom ordered the BBQ sandwich and spring rolls without shrimp. Everything was fresh and perfect. The meals came with a sweet vinegar fish sauce with shredded carrots. I will definitely go back! And thank God they're located so close to campus!!! read more

This place is a hidden gem! I had a honeydew melon smoothie with lychee bubbles. So dang good I hated to see it end! Also had the pork spring rolls. Delish and the peanut sauce was really good. He gave us a sample of the fresh squeezed sugar cane and fresh orange juice. Everything they use is fresh and the highest quality ingredients. Manager was super nice and patient as that was my first visit. I cant wait to go back and try their vermicelli bbq pork! The service here is great, can be a little slow if there's a crowd but usually not too bad. The boba and food are very good and filling. This review is based on the pho only. If you like your pho moderately heavy on the spices (start anise, cinnamon, and sugar) this is the pho for you. I've tasted pho much more heavily spiced (which I am not a fan of). And, I like my pho broth more subtle with it's flavors than this place makes it. So, view all reviews of the pho (including this one) in this light: they don't completely over-power with the spices, but said spices aren't the background umph for a stellar the beef broth either. My aunts loved the meat in the pho, and I was happy with my seafood as well (generally I stick to fried tofu in the beef broth). The gentleman who served us was happy to provide more fresh ingredients when asked (offered such when he delivered the plate, and who am I to decline more bean sprouts?), and I loved that he really seemed to want our feedback.
