She has been a critical component to my son's academic progress and self-confidence. Her knowledge and experience has also helped us to finesse IEP goals to better suit his challenges. I can tell Chloe really cares about my son and goes the extra mile to best serve his needs. Expertise and compassion make Chloe an incredible asset to my son's team. I highly recommend her!

Chloe was always responsive and really pushed for the evaluation to be reviewed in its entirety. During my son's IEP meeting, Chloe stood-up for my son in a way that brought tears to my eyes. It is rare to find people who are as dedicated to their profession, but that also genuinely care about the population that they serve. Because of her dedication and support during the IEP process, I decided to have my son attend speech therapy with Language and Literacy Group--even though we live far away, and our insurance does not cover these services. In the 3.5 months that my son has been attending therapy with Chloe and Molly, he has made noticeable progress in the way he expresses himself and his desire to communicate more with peers and his family. I will forever be grateful for their support and for being a part of my son's development and growth.

In the first lesson, she was quick to identified where I was struggling and created lesson plans to make it improvements. Her lesson are fun, positive and also easy to understand. I totally recommend Lindsey to all who doesn't have enough English speaking skill. Thank you Lindsey for this wonderful opportunity and experience.

Help Me Grow Speech is an INCREDIBLE resource for parents of young kids. When my son was around 18…read moremonths, I was worried that he was a little behind in expressive speech - he understood everything, and could sign to communicate the basics, but he seemed unmotivated to actually speak out loud (at least to the degree that I thought he should). Honestly, I had no idea if he was behind, or if I should be worried, or what I should do about it. Lindsey provided guidance that my pediatrician didn't (not faulting my pediatrician, who is great, and actually provided the same guidance as Lindsey - just months later). First she worked with my son one on one (see attached video) - but the most valuable thing she did was teach ME things, such as useful signs, how to incorporate learning words into songs (really the only songs I know are itsy bitsy spider and some 90s rap/R&B), etc. These are things that no one focuses on in those "how to prepare for your baby" articles! You have to seek it out, and even then, the information out there is not really helpful. In the video I'm including with my review, Lindsey taught my son how to say/sign "I want" within like, 5 minutes. I was so excited. And it was simple, just part of the game she was playing with him! As a parent, especially a first-time parent, I was so caught up in the mechanics of my child's day - always watching the clock, did he eat enough, did he poop his diaper, is he about to touch something dangerous, etc. - that my mindset was so far away from using "play" to teach speech. These are the golden tips, people. And now she has a YouTube channel where she teaches you these tips, for FREE! and a free Facebook group! I actually took my son to speech therapy sessions for about a month or so - it was $80/session (30 minute sessions), twice a week. Are you serious. I can understand the investment if there is an actual developmental issue - but my son just lacked the proper motivation and teaching from me, his parent. Now he's 25 months, and I actually can't get him to stop talking, it's rough sometimes. TLDR: Help Me Grow Speech is a perfect resource for parents who aren't sure whether their young child's speech and language is on track, or need some ideas on how to improve speech development.

During our first appointment with Maureen, our child began using the same signs that we were unsuccessful in teaching. Considering that our child is very reserved around new people, this was quite a feat. He started seeing Akiko twice a week, and over the past year, his language skills have improved exponentially. He's now at the point that he can tell us about his day at pre-school and answer questions about his activities. Everyone has noticed the dramatic improvement in his language skills and his confidence has grown as well. Going to Shoreline was often the highlight of his day and he continues to ask to see Akiko despite graduating recently. We're very happy that we selected Shoreline for this journey, and we recommend them to you as well.
