Love going to Den Den on a cold day! The noodles are amazing, love the ramen, and all the veggie options! The servers are always so nice and accommodating.

This thing about traveling is discovering new places. While visiting my son in Rhode Island, he took us to this amazing Korean fried chicken restaurant. Den Den offer is amazing Korean food at a very reasonable price. They are fried chicken wings are simply delicious. And their Kim Bap brings you right back to Seoul. Den Den is now on my list as places to eat while in Rhode Island.

Tasty chicken, good ramen, and amazingly more food that goes well with beer or wine! Yes, they have soju! Fast service, good place for a quick bite or a date. Or even a large group, just be patient as the place gets busy.

I came here on a weeknight and it was super busy, but I luckily got seated right away. I ordered the half/half korean fried chicken, the half/half cheesy boneless chicken, and the tteokbokki. The soy garlic korean fried chicken and tteokbokki were absolutely delicious!! I highly recommend the bone in chicken because of how juicy and moist it is! I wasn't the biggest fan of the spicy flavor, but I usually prefer soy garlic so it really is just preference. The spicy flavor was still super yummy and it has a really nice kick if you're into pretty spicy food! I probably wouldn't get the cheesy boneless chicken again, just because I wasn't the biggest fan of the cheese they used, but the chicken itself was really good! The overall restaurant environment is super vibrant and comfy, which made the meal even more enjoyable! Highly recommend!!

Quick dinner with a friend before catching a late viewing of Marty Supreme last week. I was so hungry this specific evening and Den Den was a great choice by my friend. PLEASE NOTE: WAITSTAFF IS PAID A LIVING WAGE! For this reason, the menu prices MIGHT seem a little expensive to some, but, gosh, the food is great. Chicken is TENDER & CRISPY & SAUCY. $19 for 8pc boneless fried chicken comes with pickled radish. I wanted to add some carbs to my meal so I ordered the spiral potato halfway through the meal and it was good, but I would not order it again, because it was $10. The spiral potato was really just a fried potato garnished with parsley as it rests on spicy mayonnaise. Not necessarily a complaint, just my honest preference. Efficient service, really friendly young people who check-in with the tables methodically.

This is a popular spot right off Thayer Street that my mom and I like to frequent . Our usual order is the Spicy Bone-In Wings, Sweet Potato Fries (extra dipping sauce, always), and the Beef Kimbap. The wings are crispy, juicy, and have just the right kick. The sweet potato fries are usually crispy and the pineapple wasabi dipping sauce is such a good match. The kimbap is savory with just a hint of sweetness. I'd also recommend the gyozas and the spicy rice cakes. The restaurant has two dining areas--one by the front windows and another just a few steps up. It's an open layout, so it can get a little loud with all the chatter and echoes. The staff is always friendly, and the ordering system is straightforward with handheld tablets. Great spot for comfort food with a bit of a kick

Some yummy food! The spicy dumplings were my favorite part! Very light and crispy. The salad in the middle was a little too spicy for my taste, but my husband got to enjoy it. The curry chicken was also delicious! I wish there was a bigger salad part because the dressing was delicious. A little on the pricier side for what it was, but it was more in line with what I was expecting when I realized they're a no tipping establishment. We had to wait for service a few times (getting water, ordering, paying), but the overall experience and ease of a quick sit down place was great.

Came here on a Sunday night and we were seated immediately as a group of three. The portion sizes were pretty generous for the prices and everything was insanely fresh. My favorite was probably the cheesy boneless wings! We also ordered a small regular order of wings and they let us do half spicy and half dark soy, which was really nice because not all of us like spicy. I hope to be back to try other things on the menu!

Came here for lunch. My group and I got their fried chicken, half soy garlic and half spicy. The chicken was crispy and flavorful. The spicy chicken wasn't too spicy. The kimchi pancake didn't really taste of kimchi. The yaki ramen noodles were pretty good with an assortment of veggies. The tteokbokki was a bit too sweet for my liking and wish there were more fish cakes. Service was lacking ... our server was missing for most of the time we ate so couldn't get drinks refills or anything. There is plenty of space inside and it is clean.

I had heard great things about Korean fried chicken and wanted to try it for myself! All I ordered was a 15-piece platter of the soy/garlic (regular) Korean fried chicken wings, boneless. The "boneless" was my friend's suggestion, but I think I would've liked the bone-in wings more. I really liked the texture of the Korean fried chicken, it was soft with a light crinkly crunch. I feel like the sauce was lacking something, however, like maybe it was made with low sodium soy sauce instead of the real deal. Service-wise, there's no tipping! I was so surprised! Perhaps that's why the wait staff weren't overly friendly. They were just there to take your order and give you your food. Recently, I've been reflecting on how Americans expect a sort of banter with their waiter, and I must say, I do enjoy that! But if the opposite is the MO of Den Den, that's cool too. Variety is the spice of life after all. In terms of ambiance, the place is right off Thayer Street and there are lots of large, street-facing windows. I liked the simple black and white tile decor. What I did not like was that my seat was downwind from the door! Every time someone came in or out I was blasted with freezing-cold nighttime February air. We weren't even the table closest to the door-we were in the raised area in the back- but this is not surprising given that it's a smaller restaurant. You're also really close to the tables next to you. It was a Thursday night when we went and very busy, not any empty tables around. But I could very clearly hear the guy a foot away from me tell his date "you can just Venmo me." Eek! So, definitely give this place a try for the Korean take on an American classic. Maybe in the summertime. If you like modern concepts like no tipping or a clientele that goes Dutch, you'll be fine.

I love dumplings and I have been trying to find a great to indulge in them. What a great spot! The chicken is mouthwatering and will you have craving them through the week! I really appreciate that the gratuities are included in your bill, and the ambiance is really amazing. Love the service as well, very attentive and kind! I'll be back!

Good fried chicken, chill college vibe, and fast service. I would go back to try more on their menu.

Here once again going out of my comfort zone, I ordered the curry katust. Rice, curry sauce and fried chicken breast, the flavor was a little bland for my taste but the chicken was pretty good nice and crispy. My daughter ordered small sized chicken wing fyi the prize for adding cheese to the wing when up to an extra four dollars instead only two.. the service was great as usual but I will not be ordering this dish again it just did not have enough flavor. I'll keep you guys posted when I try a different dish, because presentation of all the dishes, ambience is friendly

I walked into a space that is small and moody, the kind of room that feels lived in rather than designed for a particular aesthetic, and it suited the casual neighborhood feel of the surrounding area. The hot stone bibimbap is the dish that comes up most consistently and with the most enthusiasm. I ordered it and the stone bowl arrived sizzling. The rice along the bottom edges got crispy against the heat in a way that changed the texture and flavor of the whole dish as I ate through it. The beef and mushroom tofu versions are both well executed, and the egg on top finished the bowl correctly. The katsu is a solid option for anyone coming in looking for something more straightforward. I tried it and the breading was crispy while the cutlet inside stayed tender, and the sauce ratio was handled well rather than drowning what was underneath. The gyoza, japchae, seafood pancakes, and yaki soba fill out a menu that covers enough ground to satisfy a table with different preferences. Side dishes are served in modest portions, which was the main point of friction for me since I am used to more generous banchan. Food came out at a good pace and arrived hot. For Korean and Japanese comfort food in Providence, Den Den is a reliable and genuinely satisfying stop.

First of all, Sun & Moon feels like a home-y Korean restaurant. The owners are Korean and I'd come here when I crave Korean food. I will caveat that it's not necessarily the best Korean food I've ever had, but it's probably the most authentic you'd be able to get in Providence. The vegetable pancake was surprisingly really good - crispy around the edges, right amount of veggie to it. This one I would recommend - it's legit. I've also had the knife cut noodles which is pretty good, but different than the kind I normally get at other Korean restaurants -this one is more seafood forward which is usually not the case at other Korean restaurants. The spicy rice cakes were a bit mid - I would skip out on them next time. The rice cakes didn't have a good chewy texture and they were quite pricy too. The tonkatsu was actually pretty good, so when I got the tonkatsu udon, I was expecting that too be good as well, but the udon was way too salty and had too much MSG flavor, so I couldn't finish it. Overall, cute little place to come when craving Korean food. Menu is huge and not everything is a hit on the menu, but if you know what to order, you'll hit your craving. Parking is street only!

We also got an order of Ddeok-Bokki ($16.95) and Veggie Soft Tofu Stew ($14) for the table, as well as soju and beers all around (there's a large variety of Korean sojus in the fridge!). The wings were great on a cold night, especially when paired with the soju and beer (ever heard of chimaek? It's a combination of chicken and maekju, which is Korean for beer). The Golden Original flavor wings are simple dry wings with a perfect ratio of crispy breading to juicy chicken, with a good amount of meat on the bone. Their Hot Spicy Wings (3/3 hot chili peppers on the menu!) live up to their name, but aren't unbearably hot - they're the same chicken but tossed in a delightfully hot yet tangy and sweet sauce. They're fairly expensive for wings, but since they're both meaty and expertly fried, I won't complain. The ddeok-bokki wasn't bad, with chewy rice cakes in a sweet and spicy chili reduction sauce, although it was a small portion for the price. We enjoyed that it came with fish cakes and a boiled egg, which is an unexpected bonus of protein in a usually carb-heavy dish. The veggie soft tofu stew was pretty disappointing - it just seemed like they dumped chili powder, random vegetables, and some soft tofu in a pot and then called it a day. This was a great stop for some good Korean junk food on a late night, with friendly service and reliably good chicken. The owner was incredibly kind and let us stay until midnight, even though the restaurant's hours say that it closes at 11pm. I'm sure this is a popular spot for college students, and it's easy to see why!
