Very cute hidden gem located on McKnight Road. I loved the decor and art in the restaurant and my baby nephew was obsessed with the ceiling flowers. I had the chicken kabob which came with rice and salad as well as some naan. It was absolutely delicious and I would return again. The service was good as well. My only issue with this spot is the parking. Verryyyyyy small and tight parking lot so be prepared for that.

Awesome!! We had the Turkish breakfast for 2. To be adventurous. It came with a lovely pot of tea in a fancy tea pot. With menemen ( which looks like scrambled eggs and tomato's and peppers). With cheese (salty and good) olives, fresh tomatoes and fresh cucumbers, honey, pita. We also got the extra sausage and the baklava. Well seasoned. Great contrast in flavors-- salty cheese, acidic olives, sweet honey, umami from The menemen. Crisp cucumbers fresh tomatoes . The sausage was pan fried and added more umami and texture. 5/5 Kind, polite service. We were the only customers. So they let us linger and catch up. And did not rush us out. Food came quickly. 5/5 service. Lovely, cute very welcoming space! Good value. This was different. Loved it!!!!! 5/5. Highly recommend. Will be back and bring more friends!!

Came upon Deniz during our Memorial day travel day and it was such a good find. Came with a party of 4 around lunch. They have a very extensive menu, with even American breakfast options like crepes, waffles, omelettes and pancakes. I opted for one of the Turkish breakfast options - scorched egg/kavurmali yumurta. Our table again got the Nutella nirvana crepes, cheese and egg pide, chicken kebab and falafel. Also got two Turkish coffees which came in a really cute coffee set. Everything was delicious. It was my first time having the Kavurmali and pide. I thought the dough for the pide was perfect. It was still soft but crispy after a light toast the next day. The pide was a big portion so we had some leftovers. The falafel was pretty good too - seasoned well with a right amount of crunch. Came with a refreshing salad and lots of pita. The chicken kebab was also very juicy. Service was great. It's a small restaurant but felt cozy with cute decorations. I would definitely come back if I lived in Pittsburgh.

Pretty good little place for some turkish food, lahmacun and menmen etc. the tea is decent as well. Would not recommend the hummus

This part of town has more than enough dining places to choose from, so it's often hard to reach a decision. A recently published coupon and favorable reviews of this place helped to make our lunch choice. They recently changed their name from Ross Cafe to its current name in order to help the community gain better insight into the type of foods they serve. Their menu is very extensive and filled with authentic Mediterranean dishes. Our server, as well as most of the restaurant staff, are Turkish. Wise decision to tout who they are and what they serve, but I must add they feature a fairly sizeable breakfast menu that is available all day! Our meal was good, portions were large, and the atmosphere was relaxing. BYOB.

I stopped by here two Saturdays ago for dinner. My wife and I had been eyeing up Deniz Meditteranean since it had opened and this just happened to be a night that we could eat there. After going to their website, we placed an order through there which ended up being slice life. We had chosen 5:15 PM for when the food would be ready and it was ready at 5:20 whenever we arrived. The inside was somewhat small with tables that seated about 30 people. Its decor was fun though with lots of flowers hanging down from the ceiling in the colors of pink, purple and white. I quickly had my food and was on my way when tragedy struck. Since it was icy outside, I reached for the railing and the bag that was given to me broke. Food went all over. Upon showing the broken bag to the hostess/server, he asked if I had time to wait for fresh. They gave me a time of ten minutes and I opted for it. While it wasn't my fault, I still felt bad and likely would have kept a hand under the bag except for step with the snow/ice. For dinner on this evening I ended up ordering the yougurt lamb shish while my wife ordered the Turkish manti dumplings. My meal was described as yougurt lamb shish served over crispy buttered bread and garlic yogurt and served with rice while my wife's was described as Manti dumplings topped with garlic, yogurt sauce, and oil sauce with mint and paprika. Both my wife and I enjoyed our dinners here but we were on the same page that there was just too much yogurt. My lamb was deliciously seasoned and tender and I sort of wish that I could have tasted it more over the sauce. Then the sauce itself was good as I enjoyed the mix of the red sauce and the garlic yogurt, but as mentioned earlier, I think it was a bit heavy on the yogurt. Last but not least I enjoyed the cut flatbread underneath as it added some body to the meal but I would have been hard pressed to tell you if it was buttered or not. My wife also enjoyed her meal here, especially the filling of her dumplings and only wished she could have tasted it more without the yogurt. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Both my wife and I really saw a bunch of potential in the flavors, now if there just wasn't as much yogurt.

We love Ross Cafe! Everything we have tried here over the last few months has always been amazing. Matt tried the scorched eggs today and I found my new menu favorite in that! Totally getting it next time. The service is always incredible and they just redecorated and it's so cute inside. Happy Eating!

I have driven by here a couple of times and was not sure what exactly it was. But, I was invited to have brunch. I am so glad I tried it. It is a small place several tables. There were 9 in our party, and they did a great job accommodating us. The food was very tasty and the staff was very friendly. I can't wait to go back and try it for dinner. Please give it a try!

Met a fried here. She got their first and got us a table as it started getting busy. She was instructed to let me know to just park behind here as the parking is very limited. Inside is colorful and full of character. They had a really cool mural painted on one of the walls. Our server was very nice and helped me in deciding what I wanted. I got their manti dumplings as I wanted more of a lunch item. It's a dumpling filled with meat and spices then topped with garlic, yogurt sauce, and oil sauce with mint and paprika. This was phenomenal!! Lived the flavor and it was such a large portion that it filled me up. My friend ended up getting a crepe and really enjoyed it. Will totally have to be back to try some other things!!

Food was tasty and they accommodated our party of 7 which included adults and children. I had the lamb shish kabob which was well seasoned. My boyfriend had the ground lamb side and home fries. He said he really liked the pide, but thought the potatoes weren't that good.

So nice! So cute! Delicious food! We went on a Thursday afternoon to celebrate 8th grade graduation and had a great experience. My son wanted everything on the menu. I got Nutella Nirvana, he got pancakes. Others ordered various breakfast choices and everyone loved their meal. The Turkish coffee was delicious too. Oh the hash potatoes were a big hit as well.

I enjoyed a meal at Ross Cafe by myself on a Sunday morning. Service was quick & noticed it seemed consistent around the restaurant. There was only one server and she had assistance running food and bussing tables. They had a great flow! I waited probably 10-15 minutes or less for my meal and every table was sat. The establishment is small. Maybe 12-15 tables. Nothing over the top or flashy about the place. The mural on the back wall is a great touch to the decor! I ordered a Turkish dish as the restaurant advertised to be Mediterranean. However they had plenty of American breakfast dishes. I noticed their pancake tacos seemed to be popular at other tables. My dish was full of flavor and everything I expected. It was served with a side of bread that was fresh and complimented the egg scramble well. On the menu it shows the Turkish dishes served in traditional dishes rather than the plate shown. Can't wait to return with my husband!

Sigara Boregi (friend tortilla with cheese) we're unbelievable. I loved them.

The space is tiny and unassuming, and the restaurant seems to be a family run operation. The interior is much more nicely kept than you might guess based on the outside of the building. The staff were very friendly, and all of our food was well packaged. I strongly suggest taking a look at the "Persian Cuisine" section of the menu; in many cases, that section is more interesting than the Turkish grill. In terms of food, things ranged from excellent to pretty good. The hummus was good and nicely textured, but not exceptional. The kashke ve bademjan was excellent, particularly when paired with the nicely toasted flatbread it arrived with. The Mediterranean salad and Tabouli salad were both nicely done, with a nice level of lemon acidity and some shredded cheese on the side. The veggie kebap was fine, but generally flat in flavor: it really needed some of the sides and some hot sauce to fill things out. The red lentil soup was simple with a subtle spicing but ultimately deeply flavorful. The ash reshteh (noodle soup with beans and spinach) was generally good but would have benefited from toppings that would have probably been provided in a dine-in environment. All told, this was a nice little establishment with some excellent Mediterranean and Persian style cuisine. They seem to churn out some high quality food from what seems like a very small kitchen. I could imagine eating in or ordering takeout, but note that the interior space is fairly small with a limited capacity.
