The pita bread is just falling apart with how wet and soggy it was.

My husband and I came here and ordered two sharwarmas. The sharwarma's were wet and soggy & not edible wallah. They also added hot sauce in my husband's wrap when he asked for no hot sauce. We are so upset with the food & service. We got wet soggy food & when my husband came to the store to get his money back from the inedible sharwarma's we just got a refund for one. We are so upset because we spent $50 on our lunch for us to not even eat & have good service. This is not how a business should treat there customers especially a Muslim business.

Top 5 chicken shawarma ive ever had!!! Good portion and good food. You can go up to the cashier to order if paying with cash or you can order from the kiosk if paying with a card. The workers there were really kind.

The smells that come out this building!! Wow! I love to eat off their hot bar as I don't make it here often. I've ordered here many times and you can't go wrong. Their spinach paneer is one of my favorites in the city! Their service is quick and they have a well oiled system! They ask offer family sized meals to go which is great for a quick pick up dinner option that can feed everyone. I often like to grab them for holidays.

    Meat Shawarma Meal ($15.99)

Came here for lunch on a Monday. We ordered using the kiosk. I got the meat shawarma meal with the house salad and spinach & paneer ($15.99). My bf got the lamb kabab sandwich ($15.99). The wait was super long for this cafeteria-style spot (it took about 30 minutes for our food to be ready). I was really impressed with the meat shawarma meal! The portion size was huge! It came with a generous amount of meat, salad, and also pita bread! The sauce was yummy. My meal would be 5/5 stars. I tried my bf's lamb kabab, and it was just all right. The lamb had a weird texture. Overall, great portion sizes for the price and solid meal! The wait was too long though.

We are visiting Pittsburgh and we happen to go to this hidden gym in the downtown this place have a grocery store connected to the restaurant. This is a typical Indian Pakistani Afghani Middle Eastern kind of place which caters multiple different cuisines with the touch of fusion their meal options are outstanding they have small, medium and large With one two and three main course and a rise on the side. The qualities are super huge, so be careful in what you're getting must rise. Are there chicken kebabs that juicy tender with a good kick their lamb chops were outstanding please do try them. They have a small sweet bar Where they have options from multiple countries and they make everything in house. The team is really really nice very helpful and they were all trying to make sure we're doing good.

This place is just incredible! Great prices, great food, fast, and friendly. I had a medium combo with chicken tikka masala (among the best I've had), saag paneer, and chicken biryani. Love that you can get a Greek salad instead of rice as well! Will absolutely be back, this place is clearly an institution for good reason.

I've always heard about how great the food is here. I can attest that the rumors are true. Had a great time with friends here right after lunch time and we were able to watch the Steelers game too on the tv. Win win! Customer service was great. We order at the counter and got our food with about a ten minute wait. Definitely check them out

Salem's is always a hit! One of our favorite spots to get takeout for when we want Halal food. Food: We both got the traditional shawarma and it was so tasty! The meat was so sweet and plentiful in the wrap. We also got fries and the portion was insane for the value! Service: The workers were attentive and our food was ready when we arrived. The place was bustling so I'm surprised it was ready so fast. Ambiance: While for this order I got takeout, Salems is always a great spot to eat at. Plenty of seats, it's always clean, and the smells of food are great!

I stopped by around 5:30pm yesterday with a group of 6 people. There's tons of open seating available. It's definitely a place you for food versus vibes. You order and pay at one of their kiosks and they call your number once your food is ready. I got the lamb shawarma and it was a ton of food and inexpensive. It was also delicious! I tried some of a friend's fried and they were breaded and amazing. Salem's has tasty inexpensive food and I heard their catering is very reasonably priced, too.

I've eaten here several times and have always been pleased with the food. I've tried the shawarma and gyro, and both have been great. The portions are huge, I usually wind up taking half home for the next day. The French fries are also very good. Ordering is cool because it's via touch screen, like Sheetz. Sometimes it does take a while for your food to be ready as it seems they are very busy all the time, but a big thumbs up. Also I do prefer the beef shawarma over anything else on the menu, but the gyro is very good as well.

I wouldn't say anything in particular was the best ever, but everything was really good, which in itself is just awesome. The paneer tikka was good. Nice a flavorful. The palak chaat was fine - I'd say it was mostly just palak pakoras and didn't really have much of a flavors of a chaat. Proabably this was the only somewhat disappointing item. The paneer lababdar was really good. Asparagus kofta was probably the even better, and then the dal makhani was also good. We ordered naan in a couple of batches and enjoyed it most when they brought it out really fresh out of the tandoor. The bullet naan was really good. Garlic naan was good too. Really nice people and thoroughly enjoyed this Mother's Day feast.

The space is primarily bench like seating so keep that in mind. Service was a tad slow as we waited a bit to place our order and for the food to come out. The menu was varied, which I appreciated. I had granny's chicken, which had good flavor. The spicy naan was mild in my opinion, though others in my party thought it was too much to pair with a 7 spice level. Parking out front is easy. Okay option.

Service was super good. Once we order the food, it comes really quick... they quickly made eight of us sit and took the order.. overall we were in and out, in about an hour.. For everything we ordered we got the same Sambar and chutney . Sambar taste could have been better . I know it's udipi style but was less salty . Chutney taste was average . Onion Rava was actually good... bisibela bath - was good. Apart from these everything else was just ok . I ordered the special veg thali and except the dhal , most of the items was average . Tasted more like bachelor cooking those days (mess type food ).. Overall the service was good but taste could be better . 3 stars !

Would come here again and again, the older man in the back seems a little sad but his work is excellent. Don't walk, run to this place, don't judge it from the outside as it looks a little suspect. This restaurant changed hands a few years ago & as regular patrons, we have watched the quality of…read morefood go steadily downhill. Those who may not have a reference point as far as Indian cuisine is concerned may not notice this. To give specific examples from our last foray at the restaurant: 1) Punjabi Kadi is a standard, staple dish in the Punjab region of South Asia. In its current iteration, served in the buffet at Taj Mahal, the "pakoris" (fritters) in the kadi were half-cooked. 2) Goat curry--another North Indian staple was had several cubes of goat similarly half cooked. Or maybe the selection of meat was not good. Either way we ended up trying several pieces & then ultimately leaving them uneaten. 3) Lachcha Paratha was similarly half cooked. There were several parts of the paratha which had raw dough. Indian cuisine is not just about "masala" (mixture of different spices). It is about first selection of right ingredients. It is about adding the right spices. And above all it is about ensuring the marriage of those spices to the ingredients and ensuring every part of the food is adequately cooked. It was quite telling that none of the patrons that for that morning lunch hour were South Asian. Perhaps they have learnt to keep away from the restaurant. The service though, was polite, attentive and respectful. The ambiance that of a casual eatery. It will take a lot of time before it attracts its old clientele back, if ever.
