Dunbar Pest Control did a fabulous cleaning up the damage caused by my General Contractor who left crawl space access screens open for 10 weeks and whose workers repeatedly ate and left food debris in my yard and under my house thereby attracting rodents. Dennis AND Devin are amazing. We had a big problem w/ rats in the attic/outside/under the house...no longer! It wasn't a quick/simple fix - we had dead rats in the walls that stunk up the house - terrible. BUT - both Dennis & Devin went above and beyond to ensure we're rid of the rats forever. OK, so I'm generally a generous reviewer and give people the benefit of the doubt. Dunbar Pest Control? RUN, don't walk from this company. We have evidence that these folks scammed us. We have yet another rat infestation, and decided to use another company. They showed us evidence that our previous exterminators, DUNBAR, had not only failed but had not even set the proper traps. DISGUSTING! Now, thanks to video recording technology, our new rat control people took videos of the mess that DUNBAR left for us. Now, in fairness, it could be the worker who is scamming both the employer and us. He'd come here, crawl up in the attic and then come back down. Were we going to crawl up there and check on his work? No, of course not. I have very rarely felt this completely ripped off. read more

I hope you never have the pleasure of finding a rat in your kitchen "junk" drawer on the Saturday night before New Year's Eve, 'cause let me tell you, there is NOBODY who is going to come take care of it for you before January 2nd. BUT...of all (and I mean, I contact ALL of the local pest control companies)....of all the ones I contacted, Devon was the only one who responded with some information that put me at ease until he could get over to me first thing Tuesday morning. He explained what he would be able to do and what I could do if I wanted to take proactive measures. He helped me realize that the population couldn't grow that much in a few days. And then he showed up Tuesday morning and immediately complimented my cats. Obviously not for their rat-seeking prowess, but for their good looks. I mean, I don't know why, but knowing that he liked my cats made me feel better. I knew that whatever traps he set, he would make sure they wouldn't get caught in them. He also identified how the rat got in, and confirmed that it looked like a small one who hadn't been there long. Next morning, one of his electronic traps had zapped the rat. He was there within the hour to take it away. He also blocked off the entry point and left the traps in place for another couple days just to make sure. Thankfully there were no others. But I would definitely recommend this company to anybody facing a pest problem. read more

I needed to have my mice/rat issue taken care before having insulation blown into my attic. I called and said I wasn't in a hurry but needed to get it done. Devon left me a message that he was exceptionally busy that week but that since I wasn't in a hurry, he'd catch up with me the following week. He also told me I could text him. The following week comes and I haven't heard from Devon by Tuesday night. I texted him, "I hope you haven't forgotten me" and he replied, "I did." No excuses, no lies, just admitted it, apologized and came by the next day during lunchtime. He fixed all the places mice/rats could get in and set the traps. He did a great job with the house and even patched a bin of mine for dog food that mice had chewed through. He was fun to work with, did his job and was on his way. I had an emergency rat control issue in my apartment last week. My landlord was non-responsive to calling in pest control right away. The front lawn had been torn up and rats' nets were obviously disturbed. I live in an old apartment and one window was stuck open. I watched two rats thump into my living room through the living room window. These were the 3rd and 4th rats to invade my apartment in a week (maybe 5th and 6th). It was the most terrifying moment of my life. My landlords were cool with me living with rats and I was frustrated by their inaction. This was one week after catching the first rat in my kitchen and my landlord had scheduled pest control for a week and a half later. I took it upon myself to google and found Dunbar Pest Control. It was around 8-9pm on a Wednesday night and there were two cell phone numbers on the voice mail. I called the first one and reached Devon. He responded right away and and gave me instructions one what traps to get and said he could come the next day. He was a calming and peaceful presence after dealing with my awful landlord and building manager. I set the traps and two rats were dead in them the next day.
