Wife and I want to give a 5-star rating to the Service and to the Parts departments because of the way they treated us and helped us over the years. Chris, the service manager, and his fix-it crew did their absolute best to do the scheduled maintenance procedures as required to keep the respective warranties in force. When there were tire hiccups involving our then 2006.5 Kia Optima (our first new car from DEK), Chris offered a solution that was very acceptable -- we upgraded the tires and paid the difference, made for a better, smoother ride. Later, we got Firestone Turanza tires. The 2013 (our first used car from DEK) Hyundai Sonata was an OK car, however, it had an engine noise, documented by several non-KIA sources, the noise that could not be duplicated in the KIA or Hyundai shops, that led us to finally trade it in. We now own a pre-certified pre-owned 2017 Kia Optima that we are quite happy with! There is a disclosure: Firestone/Bridgestone of Round Rock and Pflugerville TX took care of our previous Turanza tires and alignments, now takes care of our Ecopia Plus tires and alignments; and they stay out of the engine bay :) DEK took care of everything else, and they pretty much leave the tires and alignments alone :) I just now found out I cannot post a separate 5-star for the Financial department and our friend - Debbie! With all three of our cars, Debbie did a wonderful job explaining everything we needed to know, everything about the extended warranties, and so on. We paid for all three cars in full -- within days. Killeen is the city of mountebanks, and Dennis Eakin Kia is no different. It's been a long time since I tested the flyer con-game; but, I said, 'let's see if anything's changed since 1984.' Upon entering the dealership, I approached the front desk and was met by a nice-enough, tattooed girl who immediately hooked me up with one of their charlatans - a short man with a cheesy, slimy smile. He gave me a weak handshake and directed me to a table adjacent to another populated table. He immediately began to ask if a certain team was my favorite (a college football team) and I pointedly told him that I was a fan of no team. He asked my name, but I had him give me the form and told him that I came to collect the so-called prize and not to buy a car. He replied, with that cheesy, slimy smile of his, that he was a salesman. At that point, I got up and left him at the table before he could begin his third degree deception. The flyer said "Honoring Veterans..." but what they really do is deceive veterans. Most of the Killeen mountebanks annoy and pester you at your front door; but, this dealership lures veterans and many other unsuspecting people in with lies. Instead of honoring the so-called prize people win (the deception) they instead browbeat the winners with base tactics against their wishes. My wife purchased a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado on May 14 2020. Almost immediately multiple issues started to appear. The check engine light illuminated, showing three separate codes, A pronounced "knock" in the engine, and my personal favorite; A positive battery cable (still live) under the back seat. My wife found that one when she reached under the seat to get something and it shocked her. Multiple emails l were sent to James Mills, the salesman, all the way up to the general manager. None of them have replied or tried to contact us. I am positive that no one at that dealership inspected this truck before putting it on the lot for sale. If they had, I would have been very happy coming all the way from Brownwood Texas to buy this truck in Killeen; however, that is far from the truth. When they send you an email telling you that it was a pleasure assisting you in purchasing a vehicle, that is code for " thank you for be a fool". As a first time buyer I was very anxious about several things going into purchasing my first car. Am I getting a good deal? Is the salesman trying to get over on me? Can this place be trusted? After shopping at Automax, this was a WONDERFUL diffference!!!!!! The sales person (Joe Payan) was great not only in dealing with us for a new car, but supporting us after the sale. After talking with him on the phone, he had everything waiting for me, and was able to work a deal that we both were comfortable with. No pressure, but lots of support. After the sale, he took care of setting up bluetooth and everything, and showed my wife all the things needed. If you're looking for an honest, no "BS"car dealership, then this is it. They are willing to work with you wothout going through the games. Refreshing! All the other areas (service, finance, etc) were great to work with as well. My fiancée bought me a brand new Kia Rio. John surprises me in many ways but, what really surprised me was the staff there. I can't remember the salesman's name that sold us the car but he was very nice and he surprised me as well. It helped I guess that my fiancée used to work there as a technician years ago so he knew the car I wanted and needed had to be with great gas miles and black to show off my love for my Steelers.
