My family has been going to Dr. Wong since I was in elementary school and I had been going to his office for over 10 years. They're nice, until they're NOT. His wife was super rude to me over the phone after I missed an appointment accidentally and she never apologized for it. Mind you I had been going to their office for years and even got my braces done there. You would think they would show some grace to someone who has been going for so long and keeps bringing them $$$ for all the treatments and cleanings being done. Dr. Wong was always nice to me up until the very last time I saw him, where he got frustrated with me "waiting until the last minute" to book fillings before my insurance expired. HE and his team are the ones who told me I needed to get them done asap and penciled me in. I would've been fine getting them done later myself BUT since he said my insurance ending was such a big deal he penciled me in. The last time I saw him, I cried in the chair because I was scared and in pain from the procedure he was doing on me (where he couldnt numb me up) he got really upset with me because I naturally jerked away at the pain. You would think a dentist would know how to empathize more with a patient who is afraid and hurting??? It was really embarassing for me and I just walked out the door as soon as it was over. He didn't say anything to me. I cried in my car in their parking lot. He made me push out my remaining treatments after my insurance expired, and I was under the impression that he was going to bill me for everything on a date before my insurance expired, so that way I'd be covered. Today I got a bill in the mail almost ONE YEAR LATER and half of it isnt even covered because he billed me for the exact dates. Thanks a lot for making me go thru all those procedures that I DEFINITELY could have waited to do and gone somwhere else where I was covered for them. Although I still have family who goes here and has never had a problem with him, I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE. read more

If you're ever looking for a professional staff of wonderful dentists then please come here! I cannot recommend Dennis K Wong's offices enough. I'd always heard glowing reviews about Dr. Wong from my parents, and after coming to this office for the last 6 years at least, I can confidently say that he has lived up to everything my parents told me. Each time I've come in, I've had a wonderful experience. During my visits, Dr. Wong and his staff are wonderful to talk to, and they are always willing to give thorough advice on how to best care for your teeth and mouth. An example of this was when I was given a useful brochure on how best to care for my TMJ symptoms. Dr. Wong showed me the best way I should massage my jaw and also briefly explained the main points the brochure would go over in more detail. After that, he also explained the primary causes and what steps I can take to make sure I don't aggravate the symptoms. While I did take away a new understanding of how best to care for myself, I was also impressed by just how professional and concise the explanations were. Speaking of being impressed, I'm also impressed by the system they use to verify when you're coming in for an appointment. I was able to reschedule an appointment entirely through text when the office texted me to confirm that I would be coming in on a specific date. The responses were immediate, and the entire process was extremely convenient. If this was an automated process, then it's a very convenient one. If this was a person, then I'm doubly impressed. The office itself is also neat and tidy, plus, the parking is wonderful! To be fair, I usually schedule my appointments early in the morning, so the lot tends to be on the empty side. Again, I can't recommend Dr. Wong enough and I hope to be back soon! read more

This has been my family dentist for years! Even before Dr. Wong became my family's dentist, my uncle's family's has been going and i didnt even know! And we found out that the guy my sister went to a Winter Ball with is friends with the Mr. Wong's daughter... SMALL WORLD! Anyways. Love their little office... even if it smells funky (and clean?) like a dentist's office should. The workers there are nice, especially Chi, whose super cheerful and helpful. They call you when a time slot better for you has opened up and remind you on your appointments! Dr. Wong is very patient with helping you and getting your teeth to top notch... I would know since he has never really gotten irritated at me for not flossing ... oops (which i kinda still dont... sorry !!!) The waiting room is nice and has magazines (not always updated with the newest ones, so if you ask nicely, they might let you bring one home) and a few comfy couches and chairs. If your appnt is after work or school and dont have time to brush your teeth, they provide toothbrushes for you so you can brush them when you come. And when you come in for the check up and they polish your teeth, ask for different flavors... because i really hate cherry...... But.... i still hate going to the dentist. read more

Dr. Wong is an amazing and skilled dentist. I had issues with my teeth hitting and chipped my front teeth. Dr. Wong helped with clear correct and then went beyond what clear correct would do on my insurance and made sure my teeth were fully in the right position with no additional charge. My previous dentist kept patching my teeth, while Dr. Wong made sure he fixed the underlying problem without any more loss of good healthy teeth. I've been a patient of Dr. Wong for 20-plus years. I just had a tooth break off at the gum line (no disease process...just a funny tooth structure plus age!!) and thought I was in for a root canal and a tooth implant -- best case. Dr. Wong repositioned the tooth fragment on its stub and bonded it to itself and the adjacent teeth for an invisible repair. He expects it be very durable. I know for sure that it looks great, feels great, and was a painless (literally and figuratively) procedure. Dr. Wong is always up-to-date on the latest procedures and a highly skilled practitioner of them. He is a wizard! As a bonus, he is a delight to deal with and has an efficient and pleasant office staff...all in all a peaceful and reassuring process, something you really appreciate when you have dental needs. (And his prices are more than fair.) I am over the moon with the dental magic he conjured for me today!! read more

Dr. Wong is an excellent dentist. Not only is he very knowledgeable (up to date with the latest medical advancements) but he is also meticulous and his dental work is top-notch. I have been Dr. Wong's patient for over a decade and he has performed dozens of procedures on me: treating cavities, gingivitis, root canal, etc. I have never felt pain during any of these procedures and I have never had any problems with his work: in fact my crowns are so perfect that they are exactly the same as my other teeth that haven't had work done. Dr. Wong' s work speak for itself as other dentists (I moved away) always ask about the doctor who performed my dental work and comment on my amazing crowns. I have seen my share of dentists since I moved away from SJ and unfortunately none of them measure up to Dr. Wong. I miss having a dentist whom I can rely on 100%. read more

Many years ago I had moved from Gilroy to San Jose and I had been going to Dr. Palmerlee who subsequently retired but when still going to him he recommended Dr. Buchanan, a periodontist in San Jose, to have my teeth cleaned. Since I was living in San Jose and Dr. Palmerlee retired Dr. Buchanan recommended Dr. Wong to be my new dentist which was an outstanding recommendation! Subsequently Dr. Buchanan retired and Dr. Gifford took over her office and he has continued to work very closely with Dr. Wong. From the very first appointment I had with Dr. Wong I was thoroughly impressed first with his ability to explain what the condition was before treatment and what the results were through the use of a monitor taking before and after pictures and also the thoroughness and easily understood explanation he gave about what was wrong and what he had done to correct the condition. Over the years I have had many visits to Dr Wong and in numerous circumstances I have come to him with my tooth in hand and asked him if there was anything he could do to save! Every time he has been able to salvage the tooth by re-bonding which was very economically helpful to me. Last Monday I came to him with three teeth that had been knocked out and two others that had been chipped badly. By Friday he placed a new denture and restored the two chipped teeth in an excellent manner, expeditiously and of the highest quality! This was nothing short of a miracle as he has also accomplished on my teeth numerous times in the past. I could not ask for a better dentist than Dr. Wong and his staff. I give him the highest recommendation to anyone looking for an outstanding dentist! read more
